Cant sleep symptoms and conditions

i have had excruciating pain in my right knee and upper part of my right leg while only being on Advair diskus 250/50 for about 3 weeks now. It did help with my wheezing however i cant sleep at night because of the muscle pain i have been having. I NEVER have had issues with either of my knees and am seriously considering stopping the Advair!!!

I think that I finally figured out why I am so physically and mentally sick. I received the mirena almost 2 years ago and I was a true advocate of the product...I love it!! About 6 months ago I started to have panic attacks and anxiety (i have never experienced this before) it was so bad that I barely made it to work everyday and could no longer handle being out in public. My PCP placed me on different types of anti-depressants (which made me depressed). Currently I take Budeprion which has decreased my anxiety but I do not feel like myself. The past month and a half I wake up with the feeling of morning sickness (the numerous pregnancy test say that I am not), have headaches, low energy levels and little motivation. I was pretty sure that my hormones levels must be "off" but my PCP and OB insisted that there is no way that my symptoms have anything to do with my hormones because my child is almost 2 and I am 29 years old. I have gone through numerous tests, scans etc.to find the cause of why I feel so awful and all tests came back Fine. After reading the stories on this website I now know that I do not need anti-depressants and I am not going crazy...I just need to get the Mirena removed.

I have had several things but am not sure if they are due to the mirena but I have always been good tell I got mirena
here are the symptoms I have

tired extremely
cant sleep well
memory loss
memory problems
blurred vision
and recently extremely painful sex
it hurt so bad It was all I could do not to cry
it felt as though I was in labor
I did not have the heart to tell my husband i was in pain cause we rarely have sex due to the constant bleeding
it is the best birth control I have ever heard of cause you cant have sex if your bleeding all the time. I want to remove it but getting a hold of my doctor is like a joke and I don't know what to do cause I need my memory I have a family that needs me as i used to be not the mean upset all the time me.

I am so relieved reading these messages. I thought I was going crazy alone by myself!!! I got my mirena in March 2009 and I was in love with it for a month. Shortly after around the end of April I started to feel crazy and go through these mood swings. I thought it was cause I have twin toddlers and im unemployed but the symptoms got progressively worse. Now its Oct my boyfriend is sick of me, the headaches and mood swings wont stop and I CANT sleep without Tylenol PMs. Im so excited that I have an answer now!!! Next step is trying to get it removed. Thank you ladies!!! Your voices have given me hope for mine and my family's future!!!

wow just amazed by all of the side effects. ive been on Yasmin now for 3 years i suffer from a lot of different things but im not sure if they are related to the pill. i have migraines, i have ovarian cysts, cant sleep the entire night, itchiness all over, constant back pain, arm pain, nausea, very loose stools, moodiness, weight gain, everyday it seems that i notice more and more cellulite. im looking into other options i have other symptoms cant think of all of them right now.

i have been taking lyrica 300mg a day for three months now and i still hurt all the time.mostly in my chest it wont stop.i am in pain all the time and nausea.bad dreams cant sleep,and cry all the time.the doctor just tells me to take it and come back in a month.he also found a mass on my right lung that is 2.4 inches.and one on my kidney.and they wont do nothing or give me anything for pain,but lyrica.and i had i 15 pound tumor remover two years ago.i don't know what to do anymore,i cant even work it is so bad.GOD BLESS

UPDATE!! I had my evil IUD removed today and the hardest/worst part was conveniencing the Dr. I wanted it taken out! She kept telling me that my symptoms (headaches, achey all over,panic attacks, quick temper, high blood pressure,sinus infection,cant sleep at night,no desire for sex ) were NOT related to the IUD and I just spent a lot of money to have it inserted.......she would be glad to write me a script for Wellbutrin (sp?) to help with my "issues". I was even more upset when I asked if she had ever googled "Mirena side effects" and she just laughed at me asking me if thats where I got the idea to have it removed. I was very disappointed as this has been my gyn for the past 12+ years and with my family history of breast and ovarion cancer we have always been on the same page. Well, I asked her if she was refusing to remove because I would be glad to get another Dr. to do it and thats when she agreed. It only took a breif 10 seconds and it was out(didnt feel a thing) I instantly felt better but feel that was just because I felt like a huge burden had been lifted and now I can focus on getting back to my old self. I wish others the best of luck for what ever they decide but would encourage you take some kind of action if you feel there may connection to your health issues.

I thought that I was nuts, and could what I am going through from this "thing".
I have to say I was pt on the Mirena cuz I had horrible periods and last year I had a blood clot, which they said was from the pill...So with a lot of pressure from my doctor (felt she got a kick back with every sell) i got it..
Now i have had this thing for 6 months and i feel nothing, I wouldn't care less for nothing..I feel like I could slit my wrists, have NO sex drive, the weight gain is crazy ( look prago), have zitz like a teenager, cant sleep yet i am so tired..I thought I was crazy..
I can say I have not a lot of pain with cramping ( maybe cuz I don't care) and light periods, but last longer. so what can I do?

I love Mirena, I am 29 years old with two children, and I had mirena twice, I actually have less cramping than usual with mirena and my periods are lights and regular. I just had it removed and I am looking forward to conceiving again.Also, I am able to conceive right after I have it taken out, I don't have any spotting or pain after removal.

Thank god for this web site.I got my mirena in march 2008. In November i quit smoking so i didn't realize the side effects were from this monster! i have..... headaches that feel like a brain freeze.... my feet hurt after walking thru mall so much i have to sit down while my guy shops! go figure. i cry and am paranoid... cant sleep well, numbness on right side mainly while sleeping. depressed and don't want to leave home. nightmares. and worst of all BACTERIAL INFECTIONS! there is a scent. very noticeable to me. so doctor is sending me for all kinds of pelvic exams. I told him what I've read, but of course THERE ARE SIDE EFFECTS TO ALL BC! Its coming out the 14th. cant wait. oh.... and zero, zilch, nada no sex desire drive or anything.

26th August 2009 I am at the point of wanting to tear my husband into little pieces, nothing he does is right. My emotions are horrible ranging from angry to utterly furious. My anxiety level ranges between moderate to pounding heart almost panic attack level I presume. I am restless, cant sleep, swollen face, neck, puffed up shoulders, very weird stuff. My eyes are so so puffy I want to cry. My husband was so worried about my personality change he called the doctor who laughed and said that some people get some side effects with Prednisone. OMG why didn't the hospital staff and doctors say something about this when they were pumping the stuff into me? I actually was thinking my life was not worth living anymore.........everyone around me was angry at my bad behavior, which I could not control and still cant. Hey Girls! Im 24 years old. i had my first child in June 08.i weighed 162 the day i had him.he was only 8lbs.. july08 i had the Mirena put in. everything went fine. It didn't hurt me. i had regular bleeding afterwords about3-4 days. i loved it! BUT...sept.08 i got PYCHO. thought it was PPD or just life changes. me and my hubby never fight. i have a perfect life as a stay at home mommy, bc he makes good money, so nothing to really complain about!! but i just start fights over anything now. its affecting a lot of relationships in my life.i have been experiencing things like ::: pelvic pain(spasums), headaches,cant sleep,nervousness to where i cant even go out in public,acne,anxiety,very depressed,angry,crying a lot,frustrated with everyone (even my poor baby), yelling a lot,dizziness,my left shoulder kills me, i am down to 110 lbs, nausea about 3 times a week in the mornings. I have even considered counseling or depression pills to help me. then just this July, having this Mirena for a year. i just stopped my period. i have taken 4 pregnancy tests...all negative!! so i got on here and now i know why i have been feeling so HORRIBLE! part of me is relieved now knowing that this has to be the problem. i have Crohns Disease and cant take Birth Control Pills.i wont take the shot or patch. i am actually considering my hubby to get snipped....or does someone know something else that is good to take.

HELP!!!!

Ok heres my story- I herniated a disc in my back about 4 years ago. I had a microdicectomy at the time and took prednisone starting at 40mg and weening off for a 14 day cycle. i had NO problems.

4 months ago i reherniated the disc. after 2 cycles of 14 days each on prednisone and 2 epideral injections in my spine it DID NOT work. i then started vicodin. i upgraded to percocet about 2 months in. i had the surgery again and after the surgery...yup another 14 day cycle of prednisone. i am off the percocet now ( i was on about 40mg per day for 14 days) and just finished the prednisone 4 days ago. this is what I am feeling:
restless
crawling out of my skin
sweating just stopped yesterday
heart pounding
cant sleep

Do you think this is from coming of the prednisone????? If it is how long does this usually last??

I'm 39 yrs old and I had the Mirena inserted in Sept.of 09. Since I've had this put in, I have a period every 2 weeks and it last for 2 weeks if not longer!!!!! Very annoying....... It seems like I'm always bleeding or discharging and I can't stand it anymore. I've also experienced hair loss, I have always had thick hair and now my hair is getting thin and it hasn't been growing. I'm also experiencing insomnia, my sleep has progressively declined since this was inserted. Now I'm on my second medication to try and get some sleep. I'm tired all the time, extremely moody. I get pissed off all the time over nothing. It is affecting my relationship with a man I'm totally in love with and if something doesn't change I'll end up losing him. Before the Mirena things were great and now they're getting worse and worse. I don't do things with my friends anymore cuz I'm tired all the time and moody and my boyfriend gets the grunt of it all. He has a 5 yr old and I have no patience with her and I've always been really good with kids and I never had such a lack of patience before the Mirena was put in. Needless to say I have an appointment on July 7th to get it out. Oh and did I mention the 15lbs I've gained since I've had it put in. I've never been overweight or had weight issues in my life. Since this has been put in, it seems like I keep gaining weight and it doesn't seem to stop. I go to the gym and do weights and I do a lot of cardio and nothing seems to stop the weight gain. I'm praying that after this evil thing is taken out, I can get back to being my happy self and treat the people around me the way they deserve to be treated. I know some people haven't had any problems with the Mirena, but for me its been a living hell!! No birth control is worth all these side effects. I'm thankful I found this site because I didn't know what the hell was wrong with me until I started reading all the things that other women have experienced that are similar to what I've been going through!

Has anyone had side effects pop up after 3 years? Yes, you heard me. Three years. Hair falling out. Joint pain. "Foggy headedness." Chest discomfort. Gotta be that. Please share.

I WENT TO MY DOCTOR FOR AN EAR INFECTION. HE PRESCRIBED ME SOME ANTIBIOTICS LIKE USUAL AND THEN ADDED "PREDNISONE". THIS PILL IS THE WORST PILL EVER!! I WAS TAKING 40MGS A DAY AND BY THE 3RD DAY THE SIDE EFFECTS REALLY HIT ME. I FELT SO UNEASY SO NERVOUS AND VERY PANICKY(YEA I KNOW I CANT SPELL) N E WAYS. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING TO ME I THOUGHT I WAS GOING INSANE I COULDN'T KEEP MY THOUGHTS TOGETHER MY HEART WAS RACING, I EVEN BURST INTO TEARS THAT NIGHT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT MADE ME THINK TO READ ABOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS BUT AS SOON AS I DID I STOPPED TAKING THEM. I HAVE BEEN OFF THEM GOING ON 4 DAYS NOW AND IM BARELY GETTING BACK TO NORMAL. IM STILL A LITTLE ANXIOUS AND VERY TIRED THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND I DON'T EAT. I STILL CANT SLEEP THAT WELL BUT I GUESS I JUST HAVE TO RIDE IT OUT. IM NEVER GOING TO TAKE THAT DEMON DRUG EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE. ITS A HORRIBLE DRUG THAT CAN CHANGE A PERSON FOR THE WORST.

I have been on Toprol since Dec. 2005, I take 400mg a day, 2 pills 100mg each in the morning and at night, due to heart problems. I have palpitations constantly, extremely cold all the time even when my house is 80 degrees, fatigue, cant sleep. When I tell my doctors all they due is prescribe more medication that doesn't help or solve the problem just add more side effects to it.

wow....so i have been having the majority of these symptoms and would never had thought it was the mirena until i started reading all these comments..

I had the mirena inserted in July 2006, I never lost any of my baby weight i still look like i did when i was 9 months pregnant....and i've never been overweight my whole life. I also started getting very bad lower back pains, but i have always just blamed it on being overweight. I did go to the doctors once they took an xray and said everything was fine. Other symptoms I have had are , always tired....no matter how many hours I sleep during the night i wake up so tired as if I haven't slept at all. My body always hurts, my arms shoulders and neck. The other night was the first time I had got any chest pain, it actually felt like I was having a heart attack, i was about to go to the ER but it stopped and never came back. Because of that this is why I started researching it. I plan on calling an OB doctor today to set up an appt to have it removed as soon as possible.

I am so glad I'm not the only one that has the crazy symptoms. I am being treated for an inflammation in my optic nerve. I woke up over a month ago now with double-vision. I was on 100mg a day for seven days then went down to 60mg. I feel like I'm high all the time though. I have to take my pills at 7 in the morning and they are still effecting me until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I can't drive or do anything that would take a lot of concentration cause I just feel out of it around my eyes. Also I have tingling in my face and arm. Not sure if this is a side effect or if its the possibility that I may have Multiple Sclerosis. (getting an M.R.I. done for further testing) Does anyone else have those tingling sensations?
My vision has almost come back to normal now. The Prednisone has done wonders for that, but I really hate taking it.

I JUST STARTED THE WELLBUTRIN,MY FIRST PILL WAS 10 MIN AGO IM NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF SIDE EFFECTS I WILL EXPERIENCE YET.FROM SEEING THESE ONLINE IM NOT SURE IF I WANT TO TAKE IT OR NOT. I ALREADY HAVE BAD HEADACHES AND CANT SLEEP AT KNIGHT.I HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF DEPRESSION MEDICATION BUT AFTER TAKING SOMETHING FOR SO LONG IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE.THIS IS MY FIRST DAY TAKING THIS WELLBUTRIN 100 MG.ACTUALLY IM ON THE GENERIC (BUDEPRION) HERE GOES THE FIRST DAY........

ok so now it has been almost 3 months since i hot this and now i am so nauseated that i was prescribed a pill for it because i went to the emergency room telling them i was very nauseous and i had a bada pain in my side as well as in my vaginal area...they did every test and looked at me like i was making it up because they couldn't find anything. they thought maybe i had a cyst or something but turned out that i didn't have one .they wanted to know why the hell im still bleeding if i got this in oct. they said i could become animic if i don't be careful i never thought of it that way.the past week i really notice my hair falling out. im only 19. i have no reason for this .plus i can not sleep. i have a 2 almost 3 year old daughter and a 3 month old that sleeps through the night and i still cant sleep .i am also very emotional and very touchy the littlest thing my boyfriend says and want to lock my self in a room and cry .i dont care what the doctors say i know this mirena has something to do with all this. i just need to find something to take its place but have no idea.if you have any ideas on what to use next please let me know.i know you are all smart women on here.

I have had numerous side effects with tramadol (nausea, heart skipping beats, restless legs at night) but I was too desperate and needed something so I just started taking 2 half pills a day (total of 50 mg). Well, now I've quit after about 2 years because I have sudden onset swelling and tendinitis in both of my achilles tendons. There was absolutely no trauma involved and tramadol was my only medication. After doing research online, I found that this is a rare side effect to some other medications but it hasn't been mentioned for tramadol. I truly believe this is a side effect that just hasn't been reported yet. Also, it can lead to both tendons rupturing. I just hope I stopped the medication in time so that it doesn't lead to that. It's only been a few days and I have a lot of pain and difficulty with stairs. I think this will take a while to get over -- like all orthopedic related problems.

I posted other things about femcon before .I bin taking it for about a week and i hate it .Not only I had the side effect i metchion but i think im lousing weight and i cant sleep . and im break out on other places besides my face.

i have had problems with acid reflux for approx 5 years now and have tried everything pretty much. i first went for tests and they did the one where you swallow the liquid metal stuff (barium?) and then a endoscopy. my regular doctor said i had a slight hiatal hernia after the barium test and after the endoscopy my stomach dr said i had acid reflux and didn't have a hernia so he started me off with nexium which worked good for a while but i began to have side effects . i would just feel not right mentally cloudy all day, extremely dizzy.after that it seemed like every drug he put me on (prilosec,aciphex,prevacid) seemed to have the same results. so i decided to see if i stopped completely if these feelings would go away and sure enough they did but the acid was soon to follow. i started taking zantac 150's and they worked but now i feel like i cant sleep at night and sure enough thats one of the side effects. i also read not to drink alcohol when using these drugs. so now i pretty much sit here not knowing what move to make next

Ive been on it for 2 1/2 weeks so far ive noticed i cant sleep at night, my face is dry and kinda itchy which im hoping happens before it clears up. Some mood swings, but nothing i cant handle. I started taking femcon because after i had my son i bleed for 2 months straight, so my doctor put me on it 2 days later it stopped, it was amazing! Did the dryness of the face happen to anyone else? Or did your face just clear up? Ive never had acne problems till i had my son! Im hoping this pill clears it up !
