Cause anxiety symptoms and conditions

I just started using a prescription of Welchol. After two days, I am seriously thinking of discontinuing taking it. I am not prone to anxiety at all, and since I started using this, I have some anxiety and I am generally uncomfortable. Some gas and constipation. My heart rate is up a little. I really don't like this feeling of anxiety at all. I am taking Synthroid and Benicar.

The doctors haven't been able to determine if I had a stroke or drug related (symptoms- if the slurred speech, facial palsy, memory problems, problems with working memory, and a 30+ drop in IQ points, weakness right hand). I had an open MRI and nothing was abnormal. They took me off the topamax and there has been no change and put me on verapamil sr. Trust me the verapamil is horrible as cause anxiety, insomnia, increase in appetite and congestive heart failure. At this point, the only thing that the topamax is responsible for was a decrease in appetite ( Yup, I had a stroke). I can't wait to get back on the topamax.

I have been on yasmin for about 2 weeks. 3 days ago I started noticing that it feels like my stomach has butterlies or is in knots like the feeing you get when you are really nervous. I also feel as though my heart is beating in my throat. I have also developed a rash within the last week or so. I am not sure if these symptoms could be from the yasmin but I have never felt this way before. I have heard this pill can cause anxiety but I don't feel anxious. Has anyone else ever experienced these things while on yasmin.

i suspect the lack of sexual drive and full hard erection is due to atenolol--same class/family of drugs as toprol w/c is a beta blocker. i was also on toprol for a brief period but when it started to cause anxiety, nightmares, depression, and lack of libido...i told my doc and was switched to something better. if one doc doesn't care or listen to your symptoms, it's time to find another one that does...so that's good you're going to a different doctor. a good physician will work with you and try other hbp medications that will control the bp and have the least bothersome or damaging effect.

i been taking lisinopril,and atenolol for about 9 months too a year this past january 06 i told my doctor about 1 hell of a tingley feeling in my hands and feet more in the hands,but no cough,i also i feel i cant get a full hard erection and sexual drive either,i told the doc and it went in one ear and out the otherside..any help im schedule to see another doc soon,im nervous about this

OH MY GOSH! I am so happy! I found this site and I am so excited. I thought I was going out of my mind. I was on Yasmin for about 8 months. After approximately 5 months of being on it, I started experiencing panic attacks and horrible anxiety. I was put on a SSRI and told to continue the Yasmin because "it wouldn't cause anxiety" HA! So, I stopped the Yasmin about 3 months ago and have gotten better with time but still not completely back to normal. I went to Mexico and decided to take the Yasmin to make sure I didn't start a period. I had HORRIBLE side effects and freaked out in Mexico and wanted to come home! Now I see that it wasn't just me! I am so relieved!

I've only been on the pill for a month and I just started my period yesterday. I felt fine for the first few hours, then found that my period was very heavy. Before taking Yasmin, my periods were irregular, but light. I never felt anxiety or nausea. However, today I find that I can't even look at food without feeling nausea; where as before I could eat fine while on my period. I'm shaking and feeling very anxious today, like I can't stop my arms from shaking.

I'm not sure if this is from the pill or not, but it seems so strange for this to be happening for no reason. I've checked medical journals on Yasmin and find that many times Yasmin can cause anxiety and depression, even though those symptoms are not listed.

I've decided that once my college summer session is over, I'm going to make an appointment with my OB/GYN. It's interfering with my classes and studies and it makes me feel horrible! I'd choose irregular periods and acne over feeling the way I do.
