I am 40 years old and November coming will make it one year since i am on this pill, I had to take it due to the fact that when I have my period I would lose a lot of blood and that made me very anemic where my doctor wanted to give me a blood transfusion, so my OBGYN thought that I should take birth control to minimize the flow of blood which it did, but the cramps are unbearable and i keep spotting I also have anxiety attacks and I am wondering if the pill has anything to do with it.

My daughter was given Nasacort AQ to be used 2x a day at the age of 10. About 2 weeks after starting she started to have severe panic and anxiety attacks. (never had one before). I called the ENT who told me it had nothing to do with Nasacort and suggested I take her to talk to a therapist. GREAT ADVISE. The therapist suggested that we immediately stop the spray that there are many reports of this causing anxiety attacks in children. The therapist also advised that I get a new ENT.

The anxiety attacks stopped after about a week however it took her a long time to get over the fear that she may have one. So now her anxiety is gone and the worst thing we have to deal with is that she snores at night. I'LL TAKE THE SNORING.

I'm not surprised at all to hear about Singulair being investigated for causing mood changes and suicide. My son was on singulair 6 years ago for a year when he was 5. He underwent very severe mood changes, including insomnia, rages, severe anxiety and panic attacks. We ended up seeing a psychologist about his violent moods, but it took us a year to connect it to Singulair. When his dosage was raised due to growth, he started experiencing disabling anxiety. He was terrified to leave me and had obsessive thoughts about me dying. Things culminated with him being terrified to swallow any food out of fear of choking and dying. When he stopped eating for three days, I began to search the Internet and found references to Singulair causing anxiety in children. He never took singulair again, and was able to resume eating within a few days. He was back to his normal self within a week. Hopefully, now doctors know about the incredible risks for kids with this medication and can warn parents to watch for side effects if they indeed do put their kids on this medication.
