I took ambien about 5 years. I noticed I would wake up with food in my bed or candy wrappers all over the bed. I mentioned it to my doctor, and he shrugged his shoulders and laughed. Later, when my dad died I went crazy and would get up at night and talk delusional with outrage. They told me I had became bi-polar at 48. It freaked me out, and I have faithfully stayed on bi-polar meds because I never want to do that again. Now, I am wondering because I heard on the news a few years ago that this man drove his car to get something to eat in his sleep with ambien. I quit ambien immediately, and found I didn't eat in my sleep. Now, I am wondering if I am bi-polar? Several of my friends have never understood how I could be normal and then completely go crazy. They had never seen me angry or disturbed before that incidence. I am now wondering if it was an ambien side affect.

I've been taking Yaz for about a year now, and I've noticed that I am not as irritable as with other, less expensive pills. I also have experienced reduced pre-menstrual breast swelling vs no pill, and my mild acne has disappeared. I did encounter nausea when I took it in the morning, lasting for about 8 hours. I addressed this by taking the pill at night, and I either do not experience nausea at all or maybe I just don't notice because I'm sleeping. Taking it at 6:30pm every day works well, though it is harder to remember it. I set my cell phone alarm.

So my doctor put me on Femcon after I had been bleeding for almost 4 weeks straight. I started the pack on a Sunday like he had instructed and everything was working just fine.... about a week after I started the pill I began getting nauseous. I skipped a pill because it dropped down the drain the next day I started my period which didn't start light but instead started heavy from the start. The next day I was changing my pad every hour as I was soaked. I went to the emergency room and they told me to go to see my Dr. When I got home I went to use the restroom and had a blood clot plop out about the size of cell phone... it was huge. I went to see my doctor and he is putting me on a different heavier hormone pill to see if I can get my bleeding under control. I am still having very heavy bleeding however and it's so draining. Just thought I would share with everyone.

I had a very bad time with bronchitis my doctor prescribed Levaquin 750mg. 2/19/09 I took one tablet around 6PM this evening it is now 3AM I am wide awake. Out of no where I was hullucinating, I thought I was at a house with my husband, my cat called my cell phone and was meowing that my baby had fallen out the bed and was crying. I am single I do not have children. My body and head felt like things are crawling on me. I knew something was happening to me I got out of bed and googled "What is Levaquin?" The only thing on the prescription bottle is to TAKE THIS MEDICATION WITH PLENTY OF WATER. My stomach feels nauseous I am going to drink as much water as I can to get this stuff out of my body as quick as possible. The pharmacy did not put the usual explanation of the drug and the side affects in the prescription bag. I'm so thankful that this is the first site that came up. I pray that I won't have any other problems later today. I will not take anymore of these pills, I just paid $224 for 7 pills. The other six pills are going to be flushed.

After taking 5 doses of 750 mg Levaquin beginning Friday January 30 for lung congestion and infection, I literally can not walk! I have never had any leg pain, trouble, muscle cramps, etc...Sunday, my chest hurt so bad I had my hand on my home phone and my cell phone ready to dial 911 (I was home by myself). My legs started hurting and I felt like I needed a walker just to get around my house. My legs are in constant pain. I am only 45 and wonder if 5 days of this medicine is going to permanently handicap me!

I've been an Ambien (short-acting) user for many years with no real problems unless I drank any alcohol with it and then stayed up for any time at all after taking. (Two major no-no's!!). Besides the oft-reported binge eating and frenzied cleaning, etc., the strangest thing I ever did was what I call "sleep-emailing." I did this twice--I composed bizarre emails on two separate occasions to two different individuals and sent them. The emails didn't just not make sense, but were as if I was typing a dream out loud--I suppose like sleep talking in print. The first time it happened, one of my friends emailed me the next day and said she had received my "cryptic" email. I told her I hadn't emailed her and didn't know what she was talking about. She copied and pasted the content and sent it to me--I told her I didn't know who wrote that, but it wasn't me! She then forwarded the entire email to me and I saw that it had indeed come from me. That was frightening. I had zero recollection of writing it. The second time it happened, once I was made aware of the email I did have a very vague memory of writing it, and incidentally the email itself was not quite as bizarre as the first one was. I've learned that as long as I don't consume alcohol with Ambien and go straight to bed after taking, I have no problems with it whatsoever, and have found it to be very helpful for my insomnia. I have recently begun trying the extended release version, Ambien CR, as I'm having more problems with periodic awakening throughout the night. Thus far the only side effect I seem to be having is the daily onset of a headache on awakening that I can will develop into a migraine without intervention (I've suffered from migraines for many yrs). If it continues it may be enough for me to have to discontinue the medication.

an update on my BF, now almost 3 months off lamictal and all other meds. he still feels great, for the 6th consecutive week he has lost a bit of weight as measured by WW. he finds that he is less forgetful. before, he was always losing his keys, his cell phone, you name it and he was so easily overwhelmed by everyday tasks that he assumed he had AADD.

as time passes, he is feeling better and better. the lack of headaches and muscle pain were the big pluses but now he is seeing a gradual restoration of his ability to think clearly, which is wonderful

Update to my previous blog...I stopped taking Jolivette on Sunday, September 7th after having begun bleeding (again). I had enough of this and was wondering if Jolivette was the cause. By Tuesday evening my bleeding had stopped. I was sick and tired of spending more time "having a period" than not having one. I thought it was supposed to help make my periods lighter, and perhaps it did (but only slightly), except when you bleed constantly for many consecutive days, who can tell? I did exactly as instructed and took my pill regularly, at the same time each day. I even set the alarm clock on my cell phone as a reminder. Jolivette didn't work for me so I will be looking into other options.

I was placed on Birth control pills around 16 because i have elevated hormones, and Birth control helped bring them back to normal, and regular my wacky cycles. Lately i just can never remember to take my pill, i have alarms on my cell phone and i still forget. I started Nuvaring last month and i have 1 more week on it and I've been having pains like needles in my ovaries and random cramps everyday. Also I've noticed my left kidney has been aching. My sex drive has because non existent. I can't believe have had these complications just on the first dose. I've noticed a lot of you are just now having the problems with the nuvaring, i wonder if they changed the formula?

Behold the rash. I was doing so well on this med (compared to Topamax and Keppra). I finally thought, "Hey, I am on a med that isn't going to make me stupid or psychotic.". I woke up this morning with a rash on my neck. I've phoned my neuro's service and am waiting for a call back.

I'm wonder what the early systems of SJS are? What does the rash look like? Mine is (and I looked via a cell phone pic because it's not visible due to its location) red with these bumps all over it. It doesn't itch but it burns a little bit.

Kenalog Warning! Please think twice before letting Anyone inject this drug into you!! I am a new nurse, I had only been working as a nurse for 4 months on May 31st of 2007 last year when I let my NP of 7 years give me a Kenalog injection to my Left elbow for severe tennis elbow brought on my 16 hour days of charting by hand as a new nurse. As with any drug, we should always be on guard and informed, and I feel twice as dumb for being a nurse and letting this happen, but I was so busy and in demand that immobilization of my dominant arm at the time simply was not an option to my employer.

By October of 2007 I had a literal "crater" in my elbow. I went to an ortho doctor and when he walked into the room he looked at me and said I was the worst case he had ever seen. I still didn't believe him until he sent me for xrays and an MRI. I have NO fat left on my elbow. I have total muscle necrosis and wasting away. Basically the Kenalog shot ate away all but 2millimeters of my elbow muscle and the xrays showed so much inflammation and irritation that the doctor was afraid that the bone had become infected as well. So I had to endure a bone biopsy of the elbow 3 weeks ago before he would even agree to do the elbow muscle transfer which I have to have done this Friday.

I was a new nurse and did not even get to work for a year on the floor before loosing full use of my arm and being forced to give up my nursing job. This elbow muscle transfer requires 3-6 weeks of immobilization, then 4-6 months of physical therapy, then another 4-6 months before you can expect your arm to be back to pre-surgery condition.

Basically I can not work as a nurse for a year, and will not be able to type, write, sign my name, use my cell phone, drive a car, wash my hair, or even pull up my own pants after I go into surgery this coming Friday.

And no, Doctors can Not be sued for an improperly delivered Kenalog injection if the intention was good and the shot was in the right place and did not hit the bone. I have been turned down by 3 lawyers.
Please be careful and try physical therapy, ice and immobilization first!

My husband was given this drug for his blood pressure by a doctor whom we really trust. I usually check all our meds on the internet to see what kind of problems people are having with them but I didn't this time. Once he started taken this med it was like day turns into night. He became totally miserable with bloating, headaches, extremely dizzy and sleepy. His usual sweet self turn into a monster because he was feeling so miserable. This was just a couple of days taking this awful drug. I was at work checking out this drug and I found this site. I raced home because he was not answering his cell phone and I told him he wasn't taking this drug. I told him all the side effects. We threw the pills away. Go put shirley's cafe in your browser and see what can help you naturally. I goofed this time but from now on I m checking my husband and my meds before taking them. The side effects are usually worse then the disease.

I' m a 49 year old female. I took this nasty drug for just two days to try to control chronic pain of fibromyalgia. The first day I was ok. The second day I was on my way to work when I felt a severe attack of diarrhea. I didn't make it to work. I pulled into a parking lot and before I could get to a bathroom I lost complete control of my sphincter muscle and messed all over myself. In the meantime I was projectile vomiting. My heart was racing and I felt like I was going to die. The only thing that kept me from calling 911 on my cell phone was the embarrassment of having soiled myself! It was one of the most frightening and horrible experiences of my life!

I have been on toprol for four months. After a stent was put in my heart, I had very hard time adjusting and developed panic attacks and added xanax to the mix. After two month I had to stop taking Zocar because side effects. Still I was always exusted, mini black out spells, light headed during exercise, cold hands, no tolerance to cold weather, palpatations and memory loss. One day I was looking foe my cell phone in the office for ten minutes before I realized that I was talking on it. I was always leaving things behind and had to check I had everything I needed. But I knew things were not right when my BP range was 110/98 over 68-60 with a pulse of 56 to 39. I believe it is called bradycardia. Needless to say my doctor took me off the Toprol and the Zocar. After one day there is a 100% difference. I needed to do this months ago.

I notice when I take the medication I feel a faint feeling like there is a machanical device going off in my body on the left side. I can describe it as if it is a cell phone on vibrate and it is very low in motion. this does not do me like this untilI take this med. and I have been feeling this feeling since one week and a half.

Hi all:

I was given an injection into the nasal tip about a month after septoplasty, to reduce swelling.

I left the office and midway home, about 20 minutes after leaving,, my vision blurred so completely that I could no longer read the street signs. I did not have a cell phone at the time, and somehow I made it safely home without needing to see totally clearly, likely because I was familiar with the route and could still make out large landmarks. My vision improved somewhat after stopping the injections, but not completely.

Recently, too, a new veterinarian treating my dog switched to triamcinolone injectables, instead of using the dogs normal depo medrol injection for hypo-adrenalism. I was not apprised of the switch and the dog began exhibiting severe muscle wasting, and weakness Finally, I checked the bottle and saw that it was triamcinolone not depo medrol. I was pretty darned upset, and requested that he be switched back

The dog is slowly gaining weight and muscle, but at one point he had lost so much muscle we feared he would die.

I was diagnosed recently with having asthma and was very happy to start using Advair because it helped tremendously. I used it for about two months, but last week I came down with what I believed to be a virus. Fever, chills, etc. Once it passed though, I noticed that my calves were extremely sore and looked like they were retaining fluid. Also, sores on my tongue were not going away. I also developed a pain in my lower abdomen which really heart when my bladder was full. After noting a good deal of protein in my urine, my doctor ordered at CT scan for my side, but after reading other Advair side effects I called him and told him I did not feel comfortable taking Advair anymore. He recommended I stop, only after I told him that I was even having trouble holding my arm up to talk on my cell phone. This is my third day off Advair and today the sores on my tongue are pretty much gone. The pain in my calves has subsided and they appear not to be holding fluid anymore. I had the CT scan this morning and am awaiting results.
