I am on 75mg in the morning and 50mg in the evening (125mg/day total), for my seizure disorder. If I could get off of it I would because I know how bad psychiatric drugs are. I used to be on various antidepressants for about 4 or so years, until I learned that "mood disorders" are all a crock, and drug companies are making a killing off of all the psychiatric drugs. Did you know that it has never been proven that depression or bipolar or whatever is caused by chemical imbalances?? It has been proven, however, that psychiatric drugs mess up the brain. Do some research on this. Go to the sight ****** I am so thankful I am off antidepressants but my life will never be as good as it was before I ever put the first one in my mouth. I would encourage everybody who has been diagnosed with "bipolar" to slowly and gradually withdraw from your medication and don't give up until 6 months have past. It takes a very long time for the drugs to get out of your system and you will feel like you are going through hell as you withdraw but in the end it is all worth it. Back to the Lamictal, I have now been on it for about 4 years. It does not control my myoclonic jerks completely (I have Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy) but controls my grand mal seizures as long as I take care of myself. I have pretty much no side effects, except for possibly poor memory/forgetfullness/can't find the word I'm looking for/etc, and possibly some slight "ocd" tendencies. It is hard to distinguish from the leftover effects of being on antidepressants (which caused me a lot of anxiety, panic attacks, depression, etc), because I do have some mild anxiety left over from them, but has drastically improved. The man problem I am suffering now from the Lamictal is feeling the effects of it wearing off in the evenings. In the last few months I have been feeling that feeling on and off throughout the whole day!! And my myoclonic jerks are increasing. I really don't want to go up on my dosage due to the brain damage psychiatric drugs cause and all the bad side effects I could experience, but neither do I want to change medications because I am at a very stressful time in my life where I am already going through a lot of changes. No idea what to do. Just wish that God would heal me of my seizure disorder!!! (it is a kind I am told I will never grow out of) Even if I had to go through the withdrawal from the Lamictal it would be worth it! If only...

I found this site by searching for depression and any of the medications I take: synthroid, metformin, glimepiride (amaryl), and lisinopril-hctz. And here's the culprit - lisinopril! I've been taking it for only a couple of months now but it feels like my world is closing in on my and I'm bouncing off the walls in my mind. I'm considering retiring having hit 62 and I thought it would be a happy time but instead I feel locked in a prison, with walls of debt, depression, loneliness, hopelessness, etc. closing in on me. I'm even very close to losing a boyfriend because I've become so clingy and emotionally needy.

I must say that I did stop taking an anti-depressant around the same time that I started with the lisinopril. However, the anti-depressant (Lexapro) was originally prescribed to combat anger and not depression. So I cannot say for sure that Lisinopril is the culprit here. But having read everyone's stories, it is very clear.

Thank you all for telling your experiences with this drug. God bless you all.

I've been on Loestrin24 for about a month. I have been having a lot of nausea, but that's about it. I've tried many other kinds of bc pills before, and they all have side effects. Everybody responds differently!! How many women have taken any birth control pill for the first 3 months with NO side effects??? If there is one out there PLEASE tell me what it is..............Deal with them or have your tubes tied or be celibate..Those are the other options...lol

I have been taking Effexor for about a month and a half now and I love it. Things were so awful before I started it. My doctor explained all this to me before I started taking it and said it was a hard drug to tolerate for some but for most it is extremely helpful. There are side effects to ALL MEDICATIONS even tylenol people. So seriously consider what you are about to put into your body. I was never one to take medications before thought I could talk myself out of the depression anxiety attacks , there comes a point where you cant. Good luck you all of you .

I have been onthe nuva ring for a few weeks. and i have a history of birth control use too. first off, u DONT gain weight from birth control. if anything its water weight such as bloating and such. and yes ur breasts to get bigger.
YOU ALL must understand that birthcontrol makes ur body think u are pregnate!!! HELLO! that it why ur boobs get bigger, and u have abdominal pain, and ur horemones go wack. might i add that u also wanna eat a lot??? but birth control ALONE does NOT make u gain weight. u choose to eat.
unfortunatley birthcontrol isnt for all women b/c of chemical imbalances. which is another story.
but i havent had any problems with nuva ring except some abdominal pain.

Make wise choices, and take care of ur body. u choose to eat, and u choose ur birth control. be well everyone!
