I have been on a 1000mg of Depakote for over fourteen years,in the last month i have become severely ill with feelings of electricity going thru my brain, vertigo, nausea and fainting spells. I have been communicating with my Doctor and he said stop all Depakote immediately. As a result of it i feel like a new person.Always pays to do your own research and listen to body symptoms.I saved my own life. Andrew.

My husband is 46 and has been on Advair for about 3 years for COPD /asthma. I do not believe in all this medication however his doctor told him to take it so he did. We trust our doctors. He use to be an avid runner , rode horses almost nightly, good physical shape and always full of energy. I have been noticing over the last couple years he has no energy, he has chronic muscle pain ( can not even lift much anymore), hoaseness all the time, eyesight is deteriorating, weight gain ( and he has been dieting), problems sleeping at night , feels light headed , and always exhausted. Recently he has been constantly complaining, which he never does, on how much his body truly hurts all the time. So I decided to find out the side effects of all the medications his pulmonary specialist has kindly prescribed for him and guess what his problems all relate to taking Advair. So as of tonight he has stopped taking this medication because I gave him a copy of what shows on this site and how everyone else has the same side affects. I thank all of you. I did convince him a couple months ago to start going to a massage therapist weekly , He used to go monthly,to help him with his muscle pain, however the pain was so much that he has to go weekly. He just started going for acupuncture which he really seems to see a difference in his breathing. She told him the first medication she was getting him off of was Advair. How interesting.

I recently finished 10 days of 500 mg Levaquin. Day 9 I could barely walk, my lower back hurt so bad. I have chronic muscle pain anyway, but I could not figure out what I had done to bring on this kind of pain. I tried to lay low and not aggravate the situation. Day 10 I didn't feel much better, initially, but after a few hours the pain let up enough to walk erect, though very guardedly. The next day--first day off the medication--I felt about as bad as I did on Day 9. That evening, after racking my brain trying to figure out what was aggravating my back, it dawned on me---maybe it was the Levaquin! I googled "Levaquin side effects" and that led me to this. I just knew there had to be something other than my normal routine to put me in so much discomfort. Next time, should it arise, that the Dr. wants me to take this stuff I am declaring NO WAY. Aside from it costing a king's ransom, now I know it poisoned me, AND, in this case, what I was taking it for--sinus infection-- didn't seem to go away; I feel just the same as I did before I took the medicine, except for all the extra muscle pain. BAD, BAD STUFF!!!

I just found this site and I'm totally AMAZED at all the similar complaints I have. I am a 46 year old female and have been on Zocor for about 6 years. My cholesterol is high, due to heredity. I've gone from 20mg, to 40 mg, to 80 mgs. I had leg cramps so badly with the 80 mg. that I just quit taking it. I was put back on 40 mgs. and still have many of the complaints.. i.e.... chronic muscle pain in neck, shoulders, arms, legs... chest pain/burning just doing minimal walking (saw cardiologist and had treadmill - nothing found)... a rash that comes and goes on my face, especially on and around my eyelids... insomnia... strange to horrible dreams... sudden lower abdonimal protrusion (never had that in my life!)... inability to lose weight... So, there you have it. I will be consulting with my doctor and getting off this horrible medicine! Diet and exercise will be a forever friend to me. I'm so glad I found this site.

I must admit I am very surprised by all of the side effects of Advair. I have been taking Advair 250 for years and have NEVER had any problems. I'm 28, healthy, thin, and happy. I exercise several times a week. ALL drugs have side effects. I don't think it's fair for anyone to say "don't take Advair, it's a horrible drug" because it works for some of us. I was taking Flovent before but it didn't work for me. I needed a rescue inhaler several times a week. Since I've been taking Advair I don't even fill my prescription for my rescue inhaler! All drugs have side effects, but they don't effect all people!
