Took Prednisone for lung infection. Have become very moody and depressed. Doctor also gave me cough syrup with Codeine. I think I've become an addict. I've stopped taking the Prednisone just recently even though I'm still congested, it's not worth all the moodiness and aggravation. I hope my chest will still clear up without it.

I have read the posts below and thank goodness I found this site! I got an injection on Wednesday, 6/17, in my right knee and for the first 24 hours it hurt like heck - more stiff and painful than prior to the injection. On Friday I woke up shaky and started to feel anxious. My face and chest flushed a bright red which lasted all day. Saturday was worse; shaky, heart racing or palpitating, head/neck pressure with headache, hot flashes, nausea and stomach cramping/pain. I even actually had a panic attack (already a predisposition for me). I became uncontrollably weepy and depressed! Today, Sunday, I STILL have major anxiety and headache/pressure. I'm convinced the injection brought all of this on because before this, all I had was knee pain. So, WHEN will these icky symptoms start to subside? I was told the cortisone was good for 4-6 months. I can't live feeling like this everyday for that long!!! Any suggestions or encouragement?

Wavy feeling of anxiety in my head (like I used to get from codeine). Fuzzy feeling in big toes. Dry, choking cough when I lay down at night. Now, I am morbidly obese and have bad acid reflux. If I don't take Prilosec every day, I cough. I also have sinus/allergy problems. So I take Claritin-D. And for health benefits, I take baby aspirin. So I'm wondering if it is the combination or if I am getting ready to have a stroke. It's my own fault for being so overweight, but it is frustrating. I also have swollen ankles and legs. And lately I feel like I have to pee too frequently and that I'm not quite able to finish. This worries me because I was feeling like this before I found out I needed surgery to remove an ovary due to a very large cyst. I wonder if I am getting another one.

I just had my 2nd lupron shot, and I have to say I am fine, no negative side effects. My first shot, it had stop my hot flashes and I was sleeping better, after getting close to the 28 day mark , I started to feel the pain and discomfort that I had before the shots and agree to the 2nd shot. I was having hot flashes before the 2nd shot and still have them, but the most important thing is I am not having the pain which was horrible pain that I needed tylond codeine to help me. I have not seen any weight gain, I stay active and work out even harder , no increase in appetite, so I will take it and see each month if any side effects come upon me, but so far I am good. I have to say that I was already into menopause before these shots.

I've been on Wafarin since September of 2008 because of a massive DVT stretching from my jugular vein to my right arm. Since the initial injection of Heparin and oral consumption of Wafarin I have experienced daily migraines. They seem almost like 'pressure-headaches' pushing on the sides of my head, temples, forehead and the bridge of my nose. My thrombosis doctors have sent me for Ophthalmology tests, MRIs, and plan to send me for Neurology tests as well to discover the cause of my headaches. They've put me on codeine, Tylenol 3's, Gabapentin, Naproxen, and Co Sumatriptan because of the fact that I'm so immune to painkillers in general (For the blood clot pains themselves, I was on Hydromorphone, Morphine and Codeine). Although the Co Sumatriptan along with the Tylenol 3's give me some relief, I can't help but wonder if the cause of my daily migraines are from the Warfarin itself.
My doctors are reluctant to agree with me, saying that they plan to take me of Warfarin within the next few months, but aren't certain of exactly when.

The first two months I was on NuvaRing, I thought it was the best thing on earth. Unlike previous attempts with various HBC, my breasts didn't hurt and I didn't seem to gain weight. It also steadied my out-of-control PMS symptoms and made my period lighter and my cramps disappear. Those are definitely on the PRO side of things. Shortly after starting NR, I met a new boyfriend and after both being tested for STDs, we decided to ditch condoms. Woo-hoo! At first, we had great sex and I had no problem having orgasms. But as time progressed, I became extremely dry down there and developed constant yeast infections. Plus frequent low-grade headaches (sometimes escalating to migraine-like headaches), night sweats, itchiness, insomnia, and exhaustion. Now I find it extremely difficult to get physically aroused (before, a 30-second sex scene in a movie could get me off) and nearly impossible to orgasm. I have very little interest in sex, either, which sucks because I am finally in love with the most amazing man. I have told him time and again that its the NuvaRing, and he says he believe me, but I can tell he thinks it's him. So, we've decided to give condoms another try. I took out the NuvaRing. I guess I'd rather have nasty PMS and a painful period than lose intimacy and sexual pleasure. Just curious: Has anyone used the copper IUD (non-hormonal) or a diaphragm with any success? Thanks and good luck.

JILL HERE. HALO TO ALL. NOT ONLY DID I HAVE WHAT IVE POSTED TO DATE ON LIPITOR. 20 MG. BUT THE DR. HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY TRY TEN MG. MY QUESTION TO THAT IS , IFF TEN MG WOULD DO IT, WHY GIVE TWENTY TO START WITH. HOWEVER. AS IVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND CODEINE AND PARACETAMOL THIRTY MG. ON THE LIST AS SUCH AND IT MAY BE THERE IN ANOTHER WORDING. I CAN HONESTLY SAY AND TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SAY THAT MY SON WAS MURDERED BY A NEGLIGENT NON CARING INCOMPETANT MEDICAL PERSON AND POISONED BY XANAX AND CODEINE AND PARACETAMOL. IVE ALL THE EVIDENCE AND PROOF OF THAT. DO YOU THINK THAT THE MEDICAL BOARD HERE IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA CARE. NO. ITS ALL A OUT INVESTED INTERESTS EG POLITICS ETC. OF WHICH IVE NO TIME FOR. THERE IS ONE THING THAT NEVER WILL BE PREVENTED FROM BEING TOLD AND THAT IS THE TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENED TO MY THIRTY FOUR YEAR OLD SON. ALTHOUGH THE CORONER SAID , AN OPEN VERDICT. THE EVIDENCE AND HARD CORE EVIDENCE AND PROOF IS JUST WHAT I SAID. WHEN IS THERE GOING TO BE THE RETURN OF RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE IN THE MEDICAL ARE WHOM PRACTICE TRUE CARE GOOD MEDICINE AND HIGH ETHICS AND INTEGRITY OF QUALITY. IT APPEARS IN AUSTRALIA NOW THAT IT TAKES A GREAT DEAL OF PEOPLE TO DIE AND THE NUMBERS TO RIZE BEFORE ANY THING IS EVER THOUGHT TO B E DONE, WELL ONE LIFE IS IMPORTANT AND SO WAS MY SONS. FROM A LADY WHOM ASKS MORE QUESTIONS THAN IS LIKED IN MANY AN AREA. ILL NOT BE ON THIS SITE AGAIN AS I ME GETTING MY OWN WEB PAGE ON THE TRUTH OUT IF NOT IN ANOTHER WAY. BUT I ME DOING ALRIGHT NOW OFF OF LIPITOR. I ME NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS IN THE MEDICAL AREA AS I ME ALLERGIC TO ALL MOOD ALTERING CHEMICALS AND MY SCRIPTS ARE NOW NILL.
AS LIPITOR WAS THE ONLY ONE, NOW IT IS NOT AS YOU ALL KNOW. I ME NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE SCRIPTS. OF ANY KIND. GOOD LUCK AND REGARDS FROM A GRIEVING MOTHER AND JILL. SHARED EXPERIENCES.
BY THE WAY XANAX INTERFERES WITH THE EMOTIONS, AND MEMORY CENTERS, IS ADDICTIVE SO IS CODEINE AND PARACETAMOL WHICH DOESN'T HELP LIVER.NONE OF IT IS LIFE SAVING AND WAS NOT FOR MY SON.

Thank God for each and every one of you'll who posted!! I am a 31 year old female who has consumed this poison since March 08. My PCP had started me on the Lisinopril 40mg and eventually increased it to 80mg per day.
OCTOBER 2008-
I begin having "flu like" symptoms which I started taking over the counter medicine for.
NOVEMBER 2008-
I was becoming worst so I went to my doctor (the one who prescribed this mess) and was told it sounds like bronchitis so she prescribed a "z-pack" (which is a 5 day course), "cough syrup", and stated to "quit smoking".
FIVE DAYS LATER-
I went back to my doctor with the same complaint chronic cough and now shortness of breath. I was told that since the "z-pac" didn't work it may be "asthma"!! SO of course I was prescribed more drugs one being one called "Augmentin" (which is a 10 day course), and an inhaler now for asthma!! I was ordered to have a "chest x-ray", and another script for more cough syrup with codeine!!!!
SEVEN DAYS LATER I WAS IN THE ER-
I felt as if I was dying! I was so scared and did not know what to do. I couldn't even go to work all I could do was cough, gag (sometimes vomit), and gasp for air!! I knew something was terribly wrong. The chest x-ray was clear other then a small amount of inflammation. I was prescribed yet more pills this time a 5 day course of "steroids" for the inflammation, more cough syrup, and was told I didn't need the inhaler!!!
1 WEEK LATER IM STILL COUGHING-
I was beginning to think that this condition was smoke related and begin to feel depressed as if my life was over. I decided to quit smoking as of 12/19/08, however the gagging cough and shortness of breath is still present.
I GOT A 3RD OPINION
I went to an internal medicine doctor (just 6 days ago) who stated that it appeared to be the Lisinopril the whole time and to stop taking it immediately. I was prescribed a medication called "Diltiazem" generic for " Tiazac" but the insert mentions cough as a possible side effect for this medicine as well. I am to weak, broke, and cautious to take another one so quickly. I'm still coughing as I type this!! I think I will just stick to my fluid pill and a better way of living before I continue to put this stuff in my body. To sum up this whole coughy blog, please, please think twice before taking this or any other medicine, trust me it will save you a lot of health problems and medical bills. And finally if your doctor wont listen, don't hesitate to get a 2ND OR EVEN 3RD OPINION IF NEEDED!!!!!

My eighty year old wife wa given ten Avelox tabs and told to take them one each day for her lung infection.
She has taken them five days along with a cough syrup which contains codeine.
The result is that she has been sleeping about eighteen out of every twenty=four hours.
After finding this site, I stopped her from taking ant more of them.

Thank you for this site...although it is too late being I already poisoned myself with my 1st dosage - I know better now to STOP TAKING THIS DRUG IMMEDIATELY.
31 y/o male - non smoker - In good overall health.
What happened...(brief history of what got me to the point of being prescribed this horrid drug)
I caught a cold a few days after drinking quite heavily at a wedding (Aprox 1 month ago). It was severe enough for me to take a trip to this new doctor that is in my network and nearby (how I wish I could use my old family doctor that is out of network).
Symptoms then were congestion in my head and upper chest, cold sweats, runny nose. The doctor told me to take some over the counter stuff and try to fight it off w/ Mucinex, and Zyrtec - and lots of liquids. If that didn't work, he asked me to return.
It took about 5 days, and I seemed to kick the cold.
Approximately 2 weeks went by where I was feeling fine, then it seemed as if I was coming down with something again. (Last Thursday was when I started feeling ill)
I think what brought it on this time was breathing in excess dust at work opening some skids of paper in our warehouse.
Anyhow, this time around I had a pretty serious cough, felt feverish, and fatigued.
Sunday morning I woke up and took two Mucinex to break up the cough (which work great by the way)...and I hacked up something awful enough to call my doctors emergency line and have him paged. I was ready to go to the ER. It wasn't just phlegm or mucas - it was a soild mass of lord knows what containing blood. It look like an organ from a small critter.
Doctor said to keep taking the Mucinex and if I didn't feel better to come see him.
The coughing got worse on Monday, and the mucus I was spitting up wasn't pretty.
I went to see him yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) and he said its time to start you on an antibiotic and diagonsed me with an Upper Respiratory Infection.
He gave me Avelox, and Advair, and I asked for some of the good cough syrup w/ the codeine. He also sent me for a chest X-ray.
I got home around 4pm, made some food, then took some syrup and tried the advair.
I waited to take the Avelox til later on in the evening so I could set up a routine as I work nights and 9pm would be good.
I took the Avelox, around then, along with another dose of the cough syrup.
Around 1 hour later I felt extremely nauseous. I would burp, and feel almost ready to vomit...it was my body rejecting this horrible drug. The nausea came and went, came and went - then I got tired.
I laid down around 11pm and then the REAL trouble started. I must have fell asleep for about 30 mins, then woke up suddenly gasping for air...It felt like my heart was about to stop. I sat up in the bed panicked. I then got a little nervous, but calmed myself down, drank another glass of water and tried to fall back asleep. Sure enough just as I was about to drift off, the same sudden feeling of my breathing or heartbeat was interrupted and I sat up again. I had tingling in my chin area and in my arms. Walking to the bathroom I felt slightly disoriented and dizzy, and my legs and whole body felt weak. I also started getting itchy in my legs and groin area. Now I'm scared to go to sleep so I come to the computer and started researching this Avelox. It's 3:30 am now as I'm writing this. I looked at this site and http://www.fluoroquinolones.org/ before decided to post my experience.
I am still very itchy, slight nauseous, and feel disoriented. I'm scared to lay down to sleep now, but hopefully that will wear off soon - but I feel very nervous, uncontrollably. I almost want to induce vomiting to maybe get out any of the drug that is left in my stomach, but hate vomiting.
I will not take another dosage of this Avelox, no matter what this doctor tells me...and will give him a piece of my mind for prescribing this instead of something like ammoxocillin or just penicillin.

I wish I would have found this site before I had my mirena put in. Very dissapointed with the info received from the doctor. I thought it was going to be a very simple, easy way to keep from getting pregnant. My youngest is 11, and I just got tired of the pill. Insertion of the IUD was painful, but not bad. I had some cramping and alternated Tylenol and Advil. From day 1, it just got worse. My doctor wanted to prescribe something strong for pain- that's just not right! You shouldn't require codeine for something that is supposed to be innocuous! The cramping/pain just kept getting worse- between contractions and 'back labor', I don't know which was worse. I was passing clots the size of quarters, too- again, that just isn't right. My doctor kept telling me it would 'get better', but why should we have to tolerate such misery? Then there were the night sweats/chills that also kept me up. I was afraid to have intercourse with my husband because I could feel the strings poking out of my cervix. I had mine removed after 7 days, and the pain is gone, but my period is excessive still- one week later. I'll keep track of it. My doctor said, 'so what will you do now? do you want to try sterilization?' like it was my fault and I was just being a wimp.

I had 2 surgeries at once last week and was prescribed Meprozine 1-2 capsules every 4-6 hours. The first 4 days I took 2 at a time and within 20 minutes my pain was gone, I felt relaxed and a little drowsy and was able to nap, which I needed for at least the first two days after my surgery. Twice in 4 days, one of my legs twitched and once my arm twitched. After the first 4 days, I would take only 1 as needed, usually in the evening after I has been up all day and was in a little pain. I had slight dizziness when I first stood up the first day only when I would get up to go to the bathroom. Other than that, I had no nausea, and I have to eat something before I take any medication, no stomach pains, no allergic reactions (I am allergic to medications with codeine in it), no depression, no emotional swings (in fact, if I wasn't sleeping, I was so relaxed that I was able communicate normally, laugh, make my normal jokes, etc.), I did not hallucinate or see things. I was also on an antibiotic, which my pharmacist said would make me very thirsty so I attributed my dry mouth to that. Last year, I was prescribed several different strong pain medications for severe chronic headaches and they did nothing. I would recommend Meprozine for short term relief for pain management. I do know someone who got addicted to Meprozine after taking it everyday for several months because a doctor kept prescribing it to her, so it is definitely only to be used for short term use. If I ever have to have surgery again, dental work, or need something for pain management, I will be asking my doctor for a one time prescription for Meprozine.

I'm a sixteen-year-old girl and I was put on Amoxacillin after the doctor said I had Bronchitis, along with liquid codeine.. The codeine caused me to pass out less than 4 hours after first dose. Along with passing out I also went blind for about 20 minutes and couldn't hear. When I didn't get better from that my doctor prescribed me Omnicef. I threw up the next day after taking it and I also am constantly nauseous and sleep way too much. I am really tired all the time too, no matter how much I sleep. And my 'private area' smells like alcohol. I also am having back and lower pelvic pain. This is ridiculous. Screw this drug. The FDA should NOT have okay'd it. Anyone else have these problems?

I find that this medication (Cheratussin AC) is less effective than Tussionex. I believe that the hydrocodone component in Tussionex is more influential and efficacious on the respiratory system than the otolaryngological effects produced by codeine. Codeine, surprisingly, is less potent, in my experience, than hydrocodone. One would expect that codeine would yield more beneficial effects concerning pain relief and cough suppression, as opposed to a more distant relative of morphine, such as hydrocodone. It's interesting how medication affects physiological functioning. This medication, though, generally creates sides effects that are fatigue-oriented, including drowsiness, decreased energy or enervation, and related somnolence symptoms.

I am my husbands caregiver. He is on many medications the last 26 years due to chemical poisoning thanks to our government not protecting their civilian painters at the Army Depot where he worked.
He has permanent brain damage, CRS damage, memory loss and short term memory, CHF and Bollis Emphysema. Now he also has Type II diabetes a severe case as he was not diagnosed for 7+ years of testing.
To make this short. He has been on many drugs for pain, diabetes, blood pressure, the brain damage, ( he is a recovering, not drinking alcoholic)
Recently the doctor took him off the Codeine # 3 that he had been taking for almost 15 years, 8 per day. and gave him time release Morphine Sulfate.15 MG. They also gave him Gabapentin for the neuropathy which is severe in his feet and starting to go up his legs. He is over weight, above the waist, and has not had a problem with High Blood Pressure, for many years since taking 60 mg daily of Inderal. His Blood Sugars have been between 98-140 without medication. When he was first diagnosed he was put on glyberide and it worked so good he was off it in 6 months and totally diet controlled since then but about every 3 years he would go on it for about 6 months and then he was ok again.
He has not needed it for the last 7 years. Since starting the gabapentin he went from 300 to 600 to 900 and slowly increased the dose to 1600 mg. The 300's are caps, the 600's are tablets.
All the sudden he has pounding headaches, I took his BP which we had not been watching and it was 198/115 with a 98 pulse. The only change was the gabapentin and Morphine. The morphine does not seem to be causing any side effects, once he was used to getting sleepy.. but once the gabapentin was added, all he does is sleep. The blood sugars also went up with the blood pressure. His were 358 higher than they have ever been except when he was first diagnosed. I was able to get the glyberide and that is bring down the sugar levels only taking 1/4 tab 2 x a day, and the blood pressure is also coming down, it was 139/85 with a pluse of 76 which is still too fast. I talked to some pharmancy friends and they said " Its the gabapentin " so I told the doc I wanted to stop it and he said to start leveling off, one 300 mg cap every 4 days. We were down to 2 a day till Friday and saw the doctor. Due to his taking Cymbalta they did not want to give him any of the other anti depressants so they want him to back on the gabapentin up to 1200 a day instead of the 1600 a day.
Taking into consideration his medical issues and meds, I don't believe this is a safe or sound decision, but I know how much pain he was in before the gabapentin.
I wish they would be more forthright about the side effects of this medication. They said it only causes blood sugar issues in 1 % and they did not even address the high blood pressure etc.
His pupils are also different, he has the kidney pain, but his biggest problem is sleepy.. hopefully it's not his kidneys or his heart. They did blood tests on Friday and I am asking for a EKG.. in the mean time we are monitoring both blood pressure and blood sugar 6 or more times a day. Thank you so much for sharing. It really helps to know we are not alone.

I am a 62 yo female who was prescribed Lisinopril in February. Within a week I had such a continuous horrible dry, hacking cough that I trouble communicating with others. This cough was particularly bad during the night. I have had to live with water and cough drops as my constant companions. I can honestly say that I have only slept through the night once from February until last night. My PCP finally decided that I did not have a sinus infection and that a codeine based cough medicine was not the answer and switched me from Lisinopril to Avapro on Monday, June, 2nd. According to my PCP it could take up to a week for the cough to go away.

I was placed on this drug by my PCP after a change in my insurance this year. I had been taking Avalide to control my BP but my new insurance said my co-pay for the medication would now cost me $200 for a 90-day supply, or $50 for a 30-day script. The customer service rep suggested my PCP put me on lisinopril, as it was a generic in the same class as Avalide. I started taking lisinopril in February 2008 and almost immediately developed a tickle in the back of my throat that worsened into a dry, hacking cough. I initially thought it was due to the dry air of furnace heat (Indiana resident) and started using a humidifier in my bedroom. My PCP prescribed me a codeine-based cough syrup to control the coughing, which wracked my body so hard I often was incontinent. The syrup helped -temporarily. For the past month, I've been wracked by chronic and severe dry coughing spells. The coughing was worse in the morning and would frequent awaken me from sleep at night. My PCP took me off the lisinopril today and appealed my insurance to place me back on Avalide. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a prescribed medicine, although my BP reading yesterday was 120/76.

I was prescribed advair diskus (100/50) twice a day, 10 days ago. It was for chronic cough which almost instantly improved 90%, however the medication kept me wide awake at night and caused pain in my chest while I was asleep. I was told to take it only once a day, but when it wore off at night, I had labored breathing and could not sleep. I have hardly slept in all this time and am exhausted. Albuterol does not help, and I have been to urgent care twice in the last two days. They only offer breathing treatment. By the way, except for the cough, my health was excellent. I haven't had true asthma in years. I would rather have my cough back. At least codeine cough syrup worked, and helped me sleep.

I was put on Avelox 6 days ago along with methylprednisolone for a severe sore throat, chest congestion, and cough. Since taking the medication, I have had episodes of anxiety, panic (hard to catch my breath which leads to the feeling of panic), restlessness, trouble sleeping at night, nausea, and problems with my memory (I have had numerous episodes where my mind blanks and I forget what I was going to do or what I was in the middle of doing). My emotions have been all over the place since taking this. I have had episodes where my body just feels very strange. I also have had bursts of pain in my left hip. I am only 41 and have never had this happen before. I was attributing it to my illness because I was very sick at first but now the illness is gone (except for a little congestion that is left) and I am stilling having side effects. It didn't occur to me until today that it could be the medication because I've never had any bad side effects from medication except getting sick to my stomach with codeine. I decided to research Avelox and now am convinced about its side effects. I won't be taking my last pill and will call the doctor tomorrow.
I wonder if mixing Avelox and methylprednisolone caused any effects? Haven't researched that yet.

My chronic pain has really increased since being on Lamictal for 15 months for bipolar. I have had fibromyalgia for years. The bipolar developed after that. Since starting Lamictal, I have developed headaches so severe that I have been off work 3 times in the past 7 months, inc. 5 weeks recently. I've always had headaches, but these new, more severe headaches are non-stop. I have to take 3 time-release 100 mg codeine tablets every day, plus Gravol to keep the headaches bearable. Even then, many days I end up bed-ridden. I've also developed chronic, very bad plantar facsiitis in my left foot since starting Lamictal. I did weeks of intensive physio, plus swimming therapy to no avail. Finally had to get a cortisone injection in my foot.
I hate being like this; I like my job and was used to leading a very active life, despite the fibromyalgia, before I went on Lamictal. I briefly tried Lithium recently, but it had a whole other set of side effects, so I am really frustrated.
Has anybody else had increased or new pain since being on Lamictal?

When I first started taking lisinopril, I had several episodes of dizziness and almost fainted. That was when I looked up the side effects and was alarmed to find out that it is made from the venom of a poisonous snake from Brazil. I stopped taking it for several months, but my blood pressure kept climbing, so finally decided to give it another try. It didn't give me any problems at first. Just before Christmas last year, I had a bad cough and congestion, for which the doctor prescribed antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine. The antibiotics did nothing for it, but the cough syrup finally gave me some relief. Since then, the congestion got a little better, then worse, with the good spells lasting only a few days, compared to the coughing getting worse and worse. Finally when my throat was very wheezy with every breath, I decided to check the symptoms of lisinopril again. I called my doctor and told her I wanted to go off of it and see if it helped. That was 10 days ago. My throat is clear now, but I still have a lot of lung congestion. The crazy thing is that my blood pressure kept going up in spite of taking lisinopril. I've been taking atenolol for years, and now the dr put me on lovaza, which brought my blood pressure down to normal within a day.
Another thing when I was taking lisinopril, I began to wonder if I had fibromyalgia because I had so much pain all over my body. I don't know it the lisinopril caused that, but I don't feel nearly as much pain since I quit taking it.

One week ago I started a 10 day Biaxin 500MG 2x daily for a sinus infection. 4 days after beginning the Biaxin, I started a cough syrup with codeine. I am sleeping deeply at night, no more coughing keeping me awake, have dreams- but not nightmares, but am still tired all day long. No energy at all. My appetite has increased tremendously - which doesn't thrill me! The good news is, NO metallic taste, no stomach problems, no anxiety, etc. I will complete the rx and hope it knocks out the infection. Some are super-sensitive to meds, others just mildly affected.

been on them for nearly two years. i've had painkillers for 15 years due to ankylosing spondylitis and have been through a whole rake of medicine.
-- By jtracing | Reply | Private Message meabout a year ago i started getting tired spells, now in 6 weeks i see the specialist in the endocrinology unit with suspected hypoglycemia. But i reckon it's these patches, i went from 25 to 37 (25+12mg) and i got worse so it seems straight forward and all the blood tests are negative in regards to glucose. As for the constipation, a diet of all bran every morning without fail and it solves that problem. I still take celecoxib and omeprazole as well as 2-6 co-codamol per day. The withdrawal on these patches is awful. I am going to stop them after new year and go back to codeine/paracetamol and the celecoxib(celebrex) to manage the pain.
