I am happy I read these comments. I started the nuvaring two years ago and things have happened to me and ive been thinking I over react about everything. The big thing is that I've gained 65 lbs!! I couldn't figure this weight gain out. I went to the doctor over and over and she only could recommend working out. Which I did and no weight loss, not to mention I have never been overweight. The other thing is, I would take the nuvaring out during my 3rd week and would have such huge clots I would have to go to the emergency room. They said it was not from the nuvaring. Also, I have no sex drive and my boyfriend of 3 years and my family say that something is wrong with me because I am always high strung. I have noticed myself withdrawling from people but it's because I am constantly tired. I get nausea real easy and severe headaches. Since reading these I told my boyfriend and he completely agreed with me it's got to be the nuvaring. So, Yesterday night I took it out... I just really hope I don't have worse side effects from coming off it. Thanks guys!!

I started having panic attacks while taking Percocet. I am a chronic alcohol user, and I am saying this just in case it rings a bell for anyone. I have since stopped taking Percocet (about 3 days). I was a habitual/recreational user ... meaning that I took them when available, but I did not always have them. Since my last dose, I have been having recurrent panic attacks that are very scary. They include physical symptoms (heart pounding, cold and hot flashes, feeling of difficulty breathing, sweating, shaking) - and the much more scary mental symptoms (fear of death, walls closing in, inability to think or concentrate, vivid dreaming, fear of people, etc.). It appears that some other people have had issues like this, but not everyone. Can someone share their story with me. Has anyone had similar experiences ? Do they go away at some point ? Is it withdraw (I am not sure since they started while I was using them - but continued after I stopped) ? I have heard that it just takes some time, but it is very scary. I get some relief by drinking ... in fact almost complete freedom from most of the symptoms, but I can't just drink all day. Please help.

I started taking Yasminelle (its dosage is much lower than Yasmin's) about 5-6 months ago; the side-effects I endured during the first two months keep coming back as soon as I start a new packet. Side effects such as nausea during the first week of taking the pills, continuous breast pain. These side effects are completely making me seem like a total freak when I am out- I am always complaining about how sick I feel and I also can't drink because as a result i feel queasy and I'd have to stop. Does any one else feel the same way on Yasminelle particularly? i have been searching online for discussions regarding Yasminelle but I have found none at all...anyone else on Yasminelle and do you consider it a good form of birth control?

I had my Mirena put in about 2 months ago and it was so painful. I gave birth naturally and this pain was almost comparable and went on for days. Now 2 months later Its like I can feel it inside of me and if I push down on my abdomen I cramp up and its like I feel it in there. I told the doctor about it and she said its all in my head cause I know its in there but I really don't think thats the case. I also have recently started feeling nausea every once in a while. Has anyone else felt this way.

I started 20 mg Lisinopril about April, 2006. After few weeks I feel dry coughing, and after three weeks uncommon coughing comming it was look like asthma attack. My family Dr. sent me for lung testing and she gave me spary. ( the result was normal). I took a few days and I lost my vice for long time.
Anyway, about two months ago, I feel strange pain in my hips, legs, and my ankeles. And I feel tired all the time. My Dr. sent me for blood work and especially for blood clot, and the same day she gave me Cortisone shot. ( the test result was normal). October 27, I asked the pharmacy for refill, when I read the possible side effect, and I checked the internet I find out about my problems. When I saw this site I had no problem with quitting the drug. It was Friday and my Dr. was not available, I went Urgent Care. My family Dr. Stopped my cholestrol medication too. I feel better and I feel sorry for everyone who is suffering yet.

Since comming off Dianete for a lower dose pill which the doctor recomonded to me Yasmin. I wish she hasn't, i wrongly was attracted to the possitve side effect as it apparently can induce weight loss, which i needed after being on such a high dose pill for over a year and gaining a stone in weight,
My sex drive has pretty much curled up and died since I changed pill, i changed pill as soon as i got back from holiday and have barely had the urge to make love to my partner since June...and this is unusual for me, i have never had a problem with my sex drive and it's frustrating for both me and my partner.
Just over the last few days I have had a constant headache, and a panging head rush whenever i stand.... at first I thought it was just a migraine but after reading through this site i have quickly booked a doctors appointment tomorrow.
My head is killing me, my brain is foggy as is my eye site.
This pill has also made me incredibly tired, constantly, no matter how much sleep i get i am still always exhausted.
I just hope that these headaches clear when i stop taking the pill quickly, as it's making me very very unhappy and i leave for university in a week.

This stuff is like kiddy-coke! Not something I would recommend for the children. With all the new information comming out about ephedrine, I am not sure I would feel comfy with an adult taking this much less a child.
Spaced, pupils like saucers, unable to sleep or going unconcious randomly, irritability, and can be addictive... yeah... what a huge step forward for science.
Now, how many meds do you have to take to take care of the side affects from taking this one? When does your pill bottle have to become a suitcase???

I've just started taking the 10 mg pill for two days. I've noticed incredible chest tightness the day after taking the first pill (almost like too much caffeine). I've had very unusual dreams, and leg twitching. I feel like i'm in a zombie state (this is the second day). I have been taking Symbicort for around a week now and have had no such experiences on that drug. I am wondering if this is all comming from Singulair? I've noticed such a change just by the second day on it, and none of those changes reflect improvements!
If this is true I don't recommend it for anyone. If anyone knows if this is true, let me know!

i was advised to go onto this drug for depression 3years ago. i gained weight and lost my emotions had no remorse, guilt nor feelings for anything that was dear to me. i had no life. i feel that this drug has robbed me of the three years that i was on this devil drug. i lost my partner and close friends. i lost touch with reality. i was basically dead. i was in a catotonic state for three years. i was forced of this drug as it was causing problems to my heart. whilst comming off the drug i had memory loss and very nearly killed my partner and myself. i tried to hang myself and beat my partner up who had done nothing to me apart from love me. i told him on many occasions that i loved him but was not in love with him. which was far from the truth. it is the most horrible thing to be on this drug and then to come off it only to find that all your emotions come flooding back. even harder when you realise that your partner had had enough and left for his own safty! we are just retrying to repair the damage that this drug has done to our relationship and our lives. we due to this drug may not be alive today. please do not even attempt to try one day of this evil devilish drug. it is not worth it at all. god knows how many people have died and are suffering due to venlafaxine! i took it as i was told that it would help me. i trusted the doctors and took it. never again, NEVER

ULTRACET NON-ADDICTIVE??? YEA RIGHT!!! Just like Xanx was suppose to be non addictive when it originally came out. My husband has cronic back pain and ultracet is one of many drugs he's taken over the past 20yrs. Ultracet is one of the most addictive drugs he has taken. The Side effects of the drug is no walk in the park either! His side effects include: sleeping on 2hrs per night, confusion, pain in arms & legs, tremors, not leaving the house and extreme weakness. When he tries to quit taking it he becomes an emotional disaster!! He trembles, becomes extremely paranoid, cries and hurts. RUN FROM ULTRACET!!!!!!! COMMING OFF THIS "NON-ADDICTIVE, NON-NARCOTIC DRUG" IS HORRIBLE!!!

Prescribed for my panic attacks, I use it whenever I feel an attack comming on. Normally once per day/night, sometimes longer. It does wonders for my panic attacks. The only side effect I've noticed was tiredness / weakness.

Uncontrollable shaking, pins and needles in my head, headaches, nausea, insomnia, feelings of unreality, lack of energy, inability to concentrate, minor hallucinations, and NO appetite. (lost ~8 lbs in 2 weeks)
-When I do manage to go to sleep, I sometimes wakeup 2 hours later shaking and confused, in a semi-conscious state. When I wakeup in terror my heart rate is ~100+
I began taking zoloft for my panic attacks. I started having panic attacks after I almost died one night. When I stopped taking zoloft (was on 25mg for 2 weeks), I had a panic attack 3 days later. I started again and side effects began to return. I'd prefer panic attacks over these horrible side effects. In the 3 days I quit, I felt like myself again. Now I'm taking an anti-anxiety pill whenever I feel an attack comming on. Panic attacks beat zoloft side effects anyday (10 minutes of sheer terror vs a whole day of zoloft side effects?)
THIS DRUG IS EVIL-INCARNATE

highly increased sense of awareness and focus, thought is trained better to things that seem more constructive - making them more entertaining and meaningful. a sense of wanting to accomplish everything that you feel will benefit you, and wanting to take it beyond your own expectations, even if impossible. lack of appetite. when taken at later hours, irregular sleeping patterns (sleep only a few hours a night , and still able to carry through the day normally, and get to sleep at a normal time the next day...)
phsyical performance relating to 'skill' is decreased.
the feeling of wanting to help everyone.
these desires to accomplish things are good feelings, and even when you can't go the extra two thousand miles, self confidence is still at a higher level.
i heard while pregnant and nursing, adderall should not be taken. (some adderall shows up in the breast milk.)
not a good idea to give to children under 12.
no idea where the voices in peoples heads are comming from, perhaps a part of their personality is revealed that they experience on seperate occassions.
increased hearing.
change in sexual performance
fast heartbeat (2 - 3x normal beats per minute)
heightened blood pressure
it's great for academic performance.

I've been on the generic of Loestrin for almost a year now (Generic is Microgestin - which by the way is much less expensive - I pay $10 at Rite Aid Pharmacy). I haven't had any side effects other than not getting my period. Its good to see that everyone else here is experiencing this same side effect. Every month I don't get my period i freak out in a mad panic. I don't even get pre-menstrual symptoms anymore ie) breast tenderness or just that "feeling" you get when you know its comming. I was on Ortho Tri Cylcen Lo for 6 years and never had a problem - i got my period like clock work and it always came with the physical systoms that i was getting it 3 or 5 days before. Due to Ortho Lo not being covered by my insurance, i decided to switch to a less expensive pill i could get in generic. BAD IDEA. If you're sexually active and not in a stable or committed relationship i strongly don't suggest this pill. Personally I like the assurance that i'm not pregnant. Id like to get back on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, but the Loestrin is covered by my insurance, inexpensive, and ultimately i'm never preggers (so it does work when taken correctly), but the fear and anxiety is NOT healthy for my emotional well being. If you don't like getting a period, this is a great pill. Its probably best suited for someone not so sexually active or in a situation where a getting a period each month is an inconvenience - if you're traveling, going overseas, in the military or something.
Lastly, After reading everyone else's side effects i'm starting to realize maybe i'm having more effects than i originally thought. I didn't put two and two together before, but now i'm starting to wonder about the headaches. I've never experienced chronic headaches before in my life until recently. About once a month i get terrible headaches for one or two days - i have to take 4 advils every 12 hours or so. My appetite hasn't change, i haven't gained any weight, and no hair loss for me.
