Keep your kids away from this med. After 2 months my 7 year old showed great progress with his (mild) asthma. He was not the same boy though.
"Bad thoughts". Bouts of crying. Irrational fears. Constant "confessions". Obsessions. We were at a loss. Contacted a psychologist because our VERY happy, kind, thoughtful, wonderful boy was gone and in his place was a very sad, fearful, little boy.
We finally realized this started shortly after starting this med and took him off it. Our GP agreed. It took a good 5-6 weeks to bring him back but he's with us again.
The specialist reported 2 other similar cases and advised he will no longer be prescribing this to kids until this is addressed.
If you have a child on it, get them off it. It's all I can advise. Merck was no help when I called them and denied there was a problem. Shame, shame, shame.

Finally, I found a blog that I can relate to. I've tried all types of alternative treatments and nothing seemed to work. Finally after much dismay, I decided to take Lisinopril and HCTZ to control my BP. In May of this year the doctor went up on my meds from 10.2 to 30mg of Lisinopril. I've had struggles with depression and ED. I also have itches and had an allergic reaction with my throat almost closing and later vomited. I've had enough of this trickery by the pharmaceutical industry. I strongly recommend a book by Gwen Olsen called Confessions Of An RX Drug Pusher. That book has changed my perception completely on the drug industry.
