My 4 year old Son has had diarrhea from about the last 4 weeks... we have started some tests for Celiac disease but today it only occurred to me today that he has been on Singulair for about that time frame... after all the worry and reading these other storied Im even more convinced that it maybe the Singulair..
Im just hoping that someone might read this sometime today or the next couple of days to tell me if when they come off the singulair how long did it take for the diarrhea to pass. My son had is last tablet 2 nights ago ( so he has only been off it so far for one night. But he still has the diarrhea.. should it have started to come out of his system already.

I've had Mirena for almost a year, and I can't say I've had all the same symptoms as everyone else here. My biggest problems have been feeling like I'm pregnant all the time, and having almost constant diarrhea. I got diarrhea almost immediately after having it inserted, and had it for a few months afterwards. Things will normalize for a little while, but keep going back to diarrhea. I have always been very in-tune with my body, and it's always been in the back of my mind that this was the problem. I searched for something about in on the Internet months ago, but didn't find anything until now.

Day 2 (took double dose yesterday, single dose today) -- have developed pretty constant diarrhea and stomach cramps. This week has sucked. I have suspected strep, fever, bronchitis and some kind of flu? I just spoke with my doctor who says that it can't be the drug since it's only the second day. Well, your comments here and other web research offers a different opinion. The doc is blaming in on my flu, but I didn't have any stomach distress at all until now. I'm hypothyroid, hypoglycemic and very sensitive to medication. The last thing I need is to have to deal with diarrhea. It sucks because my sore throat has improved, and so has my breathing, but I get dizzy when loosing fluids, no matter how fast I replenish. Female, age 35.

I've been on Topamax for over a year for hormonal migraines, and it's working great for the headaches. I started out at 25mg twice a day and now I'm up to 100mg twice a day. I've lost 40lb (mostly due to the drug -- but my appetite is starting to come back) and have just recently started experiencing the anxiety and tingling in the extremities. I've always felt I've had trouble concentrating and "finding the word", but I attributed it to lack of sleep because I have two small children. My most recent side effect, however, is most worrisome, which is the reason for my visit to this website. I am experiencing severe abdominal pain, almost constant, and it seems to be increasing. I had abdominal pain and diarrhea when I first started Topamax last year, but it stopped after the first month or so. I'm just wondering if maybe long term use can cause ulcers or other stomach problems. Anyone have any experience with this? I know from experience that Topamax dosages have to gradually weaned up and down, so I'm considering decreasing my dosage to see if my stomach problems will stop. I'm just in so much pain, yet my migraines have almost stopped now with 200mg a day, that I'm reluctant to change my dose.

Help! My 86-year-old mother takes Lisinopril. She takes it in the morning and is very sluggish until around 4 p.m., when suddenly she snaps out of it and goes back to being normal. She has constant diarrhea and feels miserable most of the time. When we were in the hospital this past weekend, she was very sluggish - almost to the point of thinking she's got some kind of mental problem - when they took her BP around noon: it was 90/60. As the afternoon wore on, it rose to 120/70, then - around 4, sure enough, it was up to 140/80. She's not diabetic, so doesn't have to worry about her kidneys. She had a heart attack 7 years ago, and has slightly elevated BP. After reading some of these posts, I'm thinking her problem might be the Lisinopril. When we see her doctor Monday, I'm going to ask about it. I'll be armed with the comments on this web site, plus Internet discussions of Lisinopril side effects. I hope I can convince her doctor to put her on something else. Anyway, does this sound familiar to any of you?

My experience is also not a good one. At the end of June 2007 I was prescribed Cipro XL 500mg for 3 days for a bladder infection, at an immediate care clinic. Over the next two weeks I experienced abdominal inflammation to the point I looked 6 months pregnant. I returned to the same clinic where I was again prescribed Cipro XL but this time 1000mg for 14 days and waited for a urine analysis to come back. As this showed no infection I was told to continue the CIPRO and contact my gynocologist who could find nothing wrong. I was sent for abdominal and pelvic ultrasounds. Both came back clear but I was still in considerable pain and the inflammation had not gone down but was worse. In addition I was constipated constantly, a problem I had never had. From my gynocologist I was sent to my family doctor. Blood work was done as well as a barium enema. Nothing found, everything normal. As at this point, October 3rd I was having constant diarrhea with blood I was sent with a stool culture. Cipro XL has caused me to have a strain of C-difficile. As the diarrhea has stopped my family doctor feels I should not be given medication (not antibiotics) to clear the virus. With lots of fluids, probiotic yogurt, etc it will take time but it will go away. I will just have to put up with the cramping, bloating, head aches and general malaise I have felt since it was prescribed at the end of June. I only hope anyone prescribed CIPRO XL will think twice before taking it and perhaps request a different medication. There are others.

I was prescribed Omnicef for my bad sinus infection. On the 3rd day I stopped this medication due to terrible black diarrhea. It continued for 4 days, though by the 4th day it was better. Due to the constant diarrhea, I had a slight problem with hemorroids, which is now gone. The thing is I haven't been feeling like myself since taking this medication. I felt a little paranoid and anxiety that I had to call my doctor and inform her that I stopped this medication. I'll be seeing her tomorrow.

Our one and a half year old son was put on this drug for ear infection and within one day it was like Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde. He had constant diarrhea, stomach cramping, waking up in the middle of the night screaming. But most disturbing was the behavior changes of just screaming and yelling all the time and the agressive behavior, even toward himself(biting his hand). It was like someone took our soft spoken, easy going happy son away from us. He is still having stomach problems and waking up at night. His eating has slowed way down. I will never give this drug to him again.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to post how I was doing. I have been off Yasmin now for 5 1/2 months. The first 3 months I felt pretty good, had some of the numbing, tingling, anxiety etc. However I had normal periods (like when I was on the pill). The 4th month June, I didn't get my period at all. I think I went some where around 50 days without a period.
So I skipped Junes period and come July, My breasts were really sore right around ovulation. I had really awful bloating, I could hardly button my pants, and had horrible cramps for 2 weeks before I got it. I had a constant headache for about 2 weeks. Then the week right before I got it, I had spotting. Every time I would go to the bathroom there would be spotting, however not enough to wear a tampon. The sat. before I got it I spent the whole day in the bathroom with constant diarrhea.
I was really worried that I was pregnant so I took a test Monday the 10th (we definitely do not want a child right now) and of course I got it that afternoon and it lasted until sat.
The first day it was pretty heavy but the rest of the days it was fairly light. Now I'm wondering am I going to get it in Aug. 10th or around that date or is it going to be another 50 days. It's kinda freaky because I felt like crap the whole time I wasn't menstruating. I was tracking my cycles so I now that I ovulated which was my only sanity in knowing I wasn't really pregnant.
Has anyone else gone through this and if so was it an all of a sudden thing where your cycles just snapped back to normal or was it a gradual thing.
Thanks,
Hill

Lipitor has caused me serious colon problems. I was having severe cramping and bowel movements. The colon contractions were so severe that I would begin vomiting, even though I was not nauseated. After 2 or 3 hours of these bouts, occurring every 1 to 3 days, I would be so weak I would have to go to bed. Then severe weakness overtook my entire system. I have no appetite and have lost 19 pounds since January. Food has no taste and after forcing eating, I don't want anything else to eat after 3 bites. CT scan showed severe edema in the cecum and descending colon plus diffuse inflammation of remainder of the colon. Quit taking Lipitor and cramping subsided almost immediately, but now have almost constant diarrhea. I WILL NEVER TAKE STATINS AGAIN!!!

Hi all,
-- By luke1962 | Reply | Private Message meI am a 47 male and was prescribed this drug for depression at 60 mg per day, and here goes:
Couldn't laugh, cry, no emotion at all
Numbness in my fingers, and was getting worse
No sexual desire, if I could get it up, nothing would come out
Prostate pain
Constant brain zaps
Raised my blood pressure, even taking 160 mg of Diovan per day; negated the high blood pressure med
Thumping in my ears because of the high blood pressure
Blurry vision
Constant diarrhea and dark
Pain in my left side of my stomach
Could not sleep
Constant headache
Shakey
Nausea all day
Sleepy during the day
Grinding my teeth
Greater thoughts of killing myself
Lost 14lbs in a week
Could not deal with large crowds, and I am in sales; that is not like me
Wanted to be isolated from all people, as I had no social skills
So then I went on Zoloft, and the hell gets even worse
Don't go off these horrible drugs cold turkey like I did, several weeks of pure hell, but I am back and feeling myself again
These doctors who prescribe these drugs need to go on them for a couple of months, and go off them cold turkey. They will never prescribe them again.
Best to all, and I welcome your comments
