Ok...well WOW...I am getting out my Mirena tomorrow, but for the reason of wanting another baby. I was googling away looking for information about removal and post-removal pregnancy problems...and here I stumbled. When I first had Mirena put in at 6 weeks post-partum...I was so forgetful that my friend was desperately trying to figure out why I couldn't remember anything!!! I had the usual cramps and no period/super light period, but have not had any huge complaints. I mean, I could always feel it, but that's because I have always been hyper aware of my body. Well, in the last year I have been getting acne on my face...which I usually have clear skin...and I couldn't figure it out!! I thought my body was changing. I have also been complaining to my husband that I just feel run down...tired, irritable blah blah blah...I kept relating it to have having a baby. I know that pregnancy changes many things in a woman's body, so I thought maybe at 23, now 24...I was just starting to feel my age... which to most seems ridiculous. I have had headaches the past year and my caffeine consumption has increased dramatically. I have actually lost weight on Mirena, however I can't seem to lose the belly pooch, so I will see if I lose anymore after the removal. I have been so irritable in the last couple years. I have had previous problems with depression, pre-mirena...but have had more trouble this past couple years. Granted, we have had extreme personal problems ranging from family deaths (12 in less than 3 years) to the housing market crash (House in wyoming anyone? ;)) I am starting to wonder though...is it Mirena itself...or the Progeterin. I took Progesterone based BCP before having my baby..I was depressed a lot!! So maybe it is the hormone, not just the IUD. I usually respond very well to prescriptions, but I don't think I will try do a Progesterone based BCP again. I will see tomorrow if my problems have been associated with the IUD. I am not saying it is or isn't yet...If it is anything, I am sure it's the hormones, at least for me. I will see tomorrow! I will also keep the possibility of a copper IUD open, however will do research on it, just as I did on Mirena. Has anyone had the same type of reaction (depression, weight gain) on a BSP like Ortho Novum? Just curios to find the answer, maybe it will help others make better BCP decisions.

Last year, starting July 5th till August 20th, at the age of 15, I am female, I had to take this devil of a drug. For nearly a month, after getting out of a hospital for a massive kidney infection caused by a kidney stone. The month I went through was a total hell; I was up all night, nearly every night, vomiting what I had managed to eat during the day. Cause of this I lost over 50 lbs and became underweight, from being unable to safely eat without vomiting minutes after the consumption of food. It gave me pseudotumor cerebri, and papilloedema which has nearly ruined my eyesight. It has also caused psychological effects with me caused by hallucinations, I cannot sleep without a nightlight, I am very paranoid of mirrors now, it has left me with depression and paranoia. I do not recommend this drug to anyone, as I am afraid it could cause death! I truly would wish this on no one, not even my enemies.

i was giving the "free sample" packet of Femcon Fe by my ob-gyn to help with the irregularities of my periods due to PCOS.from day one its been a major pain!a headache and insane nausea!it was awful...and this trend continued non stop through the entire 3 1/2 weeks of use.headache nausea fatigue moody tender breast heartburn...heck...i began to think i was flipping pregnant and took a test to reassure myself i wasn't and that this birth control pill was just really working me over. i know one must allow their bodies to get used to the b/c...but this was ridiculous! i finally threw in the towel last night and stopped taking them.in my third week and already i'm spotting with incredibly bad cramps nonstop.makes me think something is seriously wrong...wait i know..its this freaking pill! i think there is a hidden agenda to these pharmacal companies handing out free samples of b/c....using you as little test subjects without being up front about how bad the effects are on the body.heck...i was foolish enough to be convinced....a minty chewable birth control pill.AWESOME!...cha! they should include on the packaging"This product has the tendency to totally annihilate your sense of comfort during the entire duration of consumption".screw this pill...i'd rather deal with the side effects of my last pill which is like cake and ice cream compared to this one here!

I am a 47 year old male who took 3 days of 10mg singulair ending April the 16th. On the 4th day, I was walking around in a national chain store and started getting severe numbness and tingling in my arms and legs.
According to the info. pamphlet that comes with the drug, this can be a serious adverse reaction.
About 13 days later, I still get episodes of tingling and numbness in different areas of my arms and legs, and now, some areas on my face. My family doctor says there is nothing to be done about it, and my allergist says I may need to see a neurologist. I think the doctors need to go see a neurologist and have their heads examined for giving us this garbage to take in the first place!
Never had any of these problems until a took singulair! Hope these side effects aren't permanent!
Good Luck to you all, and may all of us get healthy again real soon!

My husband has occasional PVC. I made a soup using Capsicum herb. That evening his PVC went wild. He was having 3 to 4 a minute. We took him to the ER, there was no immediate danger. The PVC slowed down to his normal level within 25 hours. I am an herbalist and do not recommend Capsicum herb or spice internally for people with PVC problems if they notice increased activity after consumption.

I should have added something to my post about fluids (see below). Please don't go crazy with the water. Two to three eight ounce glasses per day over your normal consumption should give you the maximum benefit.
Believe it or not, even excessive water can create problems. So just add this reasonable amount to your intake for a few days and see how you feel.

Was prescribed Doxycycline for nasal infection. Wound up being hospitalized twice for extreme lower back and abdominal cramping. More intense pain than I have ever felt. My skin was covered in rash and itching, presumably due to the antibiotic as well. I found that consumption of milk products highly agitated these symptoms.

I wasn't sure until I ran across this site, but flomax has seemed to retard both erections and ejaculate. I will stop flomax today. Joel

I don't want more women to be told that it's not the Yasmin causing strange symptoms, but that it's all in their minds.

I called them and reported breast tenderness, nausea every third week, and arm pain and numbness in the left arm, fingers, leg and foot. The woman told me that no one had ever reported arm or leg pain and numbness before - but I've seen on this board that I'm not the only one who has had this side effect.

Was on Prednisone for 11 days for an injury to my neck. I knew nothing about the drug except what my doctor told me that it would reduce inflammation in my neck and help with pain.
Well, it did nothing for the injury and pain in my neck. BUT.... I had HORRIBLE menstrual cramps and got my period 8 days early. I've had my period for 9 days now AND terrible pain in my upper left leg. I thought the pain was related to my leg and as the days went by I realized it was in my left hip! It's so bad I can't lift my leg without extreme pain. I KNOW IT'S FROM this awful drug.
I've been off of it for 4 days and the pain is still with me. I called my family dr. and was told Prednisone doesn't do that. BULL!! The paperwork I got with it from the pharmacy show "Changes in menstrual periods" "muscle/joint pain" "bone pain".
I wish I knew this BEFORE I ever took it.
Does anyone know if these symptoms and problems will go away after stopping it? I called the pharmacy and was told it will take 2-3 weeks for it to get out of my system!!
Has anyone had problems that eventually went away after stopping the drug?
Thanks and I hope everyone else is okay soon! This drug should be off the market. I received no help for my neck pain at all!!
