Where do I begin??? I have been taking Yaz for six months. Migraines! The worst migraines ever, I cannot function for one full day and sometimes more, the pain was so intolerable.
Hives! For the past two months, I keep thinking that I had a food allergy; even my doctor diagnosed it as that. After going to the allergist, I was told that I have developed an allergy to the Yasmin pill. No part of my body has been discriminated with this medication. Hives from the top of my head, in my eyes, right down to the bottom of my feet! This has been the worst experience of my life with this pill.
Fatigue to the extreme! I fall asleep sitting up and never feel rested. Yaz has caused me to go up two cup sizes so far, I went from being a 38C to a 40DD and I can't fit into anything. My boobs are sore a lot.
Weight gain, at least 20 pounds heavier. Nausea; Indigestion; Diarrhea & Constipation; Decreased Sex Drive; and Mood swings; Uncontrollable Rages; Severe body aches; Hot Flashes/Chills; Crying Spells; Blurred Vision; Lack of Concentration; Trouble sleeping; Dizziness; Shaking; Restlessness mainly after 9pm when I should be winding down to go to bed; Terrible night sweats; Never ending cravings for junk food; Inability to cope with stressful situations; Feeling of being inadequate; Can’t concentrate; Gassy; Hate family & partners; Irrational.

I was taking Lipitor (can't remember how long and what mg) and started feeling like I was continously in a fog and having memory problems. These were so bad that my GP sent me to a Neurologist for MRI and CT scans with results showing nothing wrong. I decided that this started after I went on the Lipitor and took myself off of it. The "fog has lifted" but I still have some memory problems. I am now taking Zetia and have started having muscle pains and cramps. I'm going to give up on cholesterol lowering medications. If I can't lower it with diet and exercise I'll just take my chances with the high cholesterol!

My son is 5 years old and was born with Prune Belly Syndrome and Bilateral Hip Displasia. He also has kidney failure. On Sept. 7th I donated my kidney to him. He has since done great as far as his kidney is concerned but the side effects of the prednisone have been hard. He gets so upset at the smallest of things. My husband and I have been married for only a year and his children who are 8 and 12 dont' want to be around him. My son adores them. But they can't handle the mood swings and don't understand him and neither does my husband. My son has worries that a 5 year old shouldn't have. He worries about me dying and about his brother and sister not loving him. Since the transplant was in Sept., I didn't start him in Kindergarten yet. He will start after the holidays. I hope that going to school will help. I don't know what to do. I continously let him know that I love him but I feel like I'm always having to get on him for the way he behaves. What do I do??? I need any kind of advise I can get.

ive had so many side effects theres just too many too name. im in pain constantly because of this poison. i took it for 8 days and for the last month my life has been hell. im only 19 years old but i feel like im 80. this drug should only be prescribed in life or death situations like severe pneumonia. but not for sinus infections. my muscles, joints , tendons are in constant pain. my skin has been blistered due to an extreme sunburn. im going to doctors continously trying to find out how i can heal my ravaged body. my life has been destroyed. DO NOT TAKE THIS CRAP, UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO GAMBLE YOUR LIFE.my body has been destroyed like thousands of others, because of ignorant doctors and drug companies who only care about money and not human suffering. DO NOT TAKE THIS POISON!!!! I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN TAKE THIS CRAP AGAIN.

Hi there
I have only been on Yasmin a few months. I tried it as my skin is still not great at 22, and as soon as I mentioned that to my Dr she suggested Yasmin. I'm a uni student and it's quite expensive, but aside from that, my boobs feel really full and sore continously, and I've been extra moody for longer periods of times. Basically, it feels like I'm pre-menstrual continously. I hadn't been on the pill for years previous to starting Yasmin, cos I wasn't 100% on putting hormones into my body. I think after I finish this pack I will just go pill-free and discuss some other form of contraceptive with my bf.

hi there bitter rn and others
im 7 days pre-yasmin but i can,t really call it that because its my seven day break. i took my last pill last sunday and was due to start my new pack monday so i guees thats when the real test starts, as my body will be expecting it.
also i have been suffering from real bad migraines continously this 7 day break but today i have noticed SHARP, SHOOTING PAINS IN MY HEAD, IS THIS NORMAL ANYBODY?????
My dr has prescribed me with a ant-depressant called CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE 20MG DAILY, i told him that i would wait 2 months and if i feel like the anxiety was too bad to handle myself i would only then take it. i just hope i am strong enough to cope on my own without any kind of medication.
however i am thinking of taking homeopathic treatment to regulate my periods and get rid of the cysts on my ovaries, maybe this will control my anxiety after all its the hormone imbalance that causes the anxiety and depression, ISNT IT????
WHAT DO YOU THINK?????????
ANYBODY ELSE HAD THE SHOOTING PAINS IN THE HEAD AFTER STOPPING YASMIN, AND HOW LONG AFTER STOPPING DID THEY GO AWAY?????
PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!
I DON,T FEEL DEPRESSED TODAY , JUST THE HEAD PAIN REALLY.
IM REALLY SCARED WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID PRE-YASMIN I HOPE I,M STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE IT, IM SUCH A SENSITIVE PERSON WHO HAS ALWAYS BEEN WEAK-MINDED
WELL I GUESS I HAVE TO BE STRONG AND SEE WHAT LIES AHEAD AND HOPEFULLY I,LL BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT WITHOUT THE ANTI-DEPRESSANTS.
THANKYOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS POSTED THEIR EXPERIENCES ON YASMIN I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER KNOWING THAT IT WAS THE PIL AND NOT MY MIND GOING CRAZY
ANY REPLIES WOULD BE APPRECIATED GREATLY
THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN

My doctor prescribed nuva ring to help with perimenopause symptoms, and excessive bleeding. (I previously used a diaphram -14 years -which i loved by the way)
He advised me to replace nuva ringevery 3 weeks and not have a period. Happily I tried it. I was ok for the first 6 weeks but have bled continously for the past 2 weeks. I also have had a killer headache for weeks now.
I have found relief from perimenopase symptoms such as anxiety and depression however.

I have been on Advai 250/50 since Spring. I have had some laryngitis which I believed was cause by a bad cold I had . Then in June I started losing my voice continously and cannot get it back. I have been to one ENT who put me on Steroids for a week( no results). I went back a month later, my vocal cords still swollen and still no voice. This ENT wanted to do surgery right away and shave down the vocal cords. I went to get a 2nd opinion and the other ENT told me to discontinue my ADvair, since on of the side effects is Disphonia ( loss of voice). So I have discontinued the Advair. We shall see if this is the cause of my chronic Laryngitis.

I was taking Narvasc with no side effects. Then we I switched drug stores that gave me Lisinopril. For the last 6 months I have a dry cough, I wake up numerous times during the night. I am tired all the time. I throw up several times a day and my mouth feels like it's got a wad of cotton in it continously. Today my EN&T dr. took me off of this horrible medicine and switched me back to Norvasc.

I stopped taking the pill today and thank god!!! I am 26 years old and have had the worst highs and lows I have ever experienced in the last 5 months of taking it, my blood pressure shot up to 90/150 which is way above average. My breast are sore at different times, in the beginning they hurt continously. Has anyone experienced while taking this pill, pulsating dull pain in what feels to be the veins, ex legs and arms? This has concerned me the most and I am going to see the doctor this week. My skin is clear but hell this is not worth it!!

well about eight months ago i got into a horrible atv accident were i slammed into a barbed wire fence and split my neck from ear to ear, amazingly my arterie was exactly the thickness of a paper from being touched by the wire, im only fifteen and ive gone through more than others. anyway roxicet was a drug given to me two weeks after continously taking morphen and dermatril. when they started giving me it for the first time i was pretty dissapointed beause i thought it wasn't going to take the pain like morphene, apparently i was wrong. although not as strong it gave me an extremly happy feeling inside like everything would be alright, i swear i could go up two anyone and say i love you because it made me feel so good. when i got a 500 ml bottle of it to take home i would take it and just stay in bed for four hours thinking about anything that came to my head, my entire body would just cool down and id feel so so so relaxed. if you never tried it at least you got a description of it

I am 53 years old. Went on Yasmin for 3 mths continously to stop periods while travelling overseas for 6 weeks.
-- By mb23 | Reply | Private Message meI travel overseas frequently - but had never taken Yasmin before. I am healthy, fit and a non smoker.
Breathlessness and ear problems started overseas after 5 weeks into the trip. On return it has been found I suffered a major DVT incident and now have blood clots in the lungs. Extremely lucky to have survived.
I believe that Yasmin has had a cause in what has happened.
