day # 3 ive got the worst yeast infection i was fine b4 i put it in now im uncomfortable ........bloating,fatigue, nausea,headache,.. all after 3 days called the doctor he said to give a month just use some monistat but it is now midnight and i just took it out, and you know what...... instant relief im not putting that thing back in ( from my fiance.....fellas don't let her do it you will be sorry)......well back to the pill : ) keep posting this was very helpful

Mirena was my worst nightmare; it make me feel with extreme fatigue, and I experienced an increment on my anxiety, I begin to feel scary for everything with no apparent reason, I just cry for almost everything, and it really scare me, oh yes! how scaring was to feel like this =C ; with no mood for sex, what a birth control!! Thanks GOD, this site exist, because it was after read all your experiences, that I realize that everything was due to Mirena. It still affects me like a couple of weeks later I took it off. I have been on Femcon for around 4 years. My sex drive was very intense before taking this pill. I have had no sex drive since starting the pill. We have struggled to figure out what the problem is to no avail. I just decided to look up side effects of Femcon, and noticed all the symptoms are the same. I saw only a few with diminished sex drives. Is everybody experience diminished sex drive as a result??

I just want to thank everyone for their experiences with Mirena. I went to the GYN on Tuesday for my annual exam and inquired about birth control since I am now in a relationship. I am 42, no children. She recommended Mirena and gave me a booklet on it. I have been researching it.

I am now deciding AGAINST this. I will stick with condoms for now and start researching another type of birth control. I don't want weight gain (I am already overweight but have lost over a lot of weight thanks to Weight Watchers). I don't want acne or bleeding everyday.

It helps so much hearing everyone's experience with this. The brochure doesn't list all these side effects. The doctor was pretty honest with me but thinks I would be a good candidate but I think I really need to rethink this.

Has anyone had any good experiences with other types of birth control?

wow. I have to agree with everyone on here. Im sooo glad i found this website. My boyfriend has been trying to pursuade me to get off yasmin for months now and i finally have. Yasmin
has made me miserable. Moody, bitchy irritable and most of
all a lack of a sex drive. Its made me anxious and horribly snappy.
I am SO glad to be off of it and i cant wait until its out of my system. Does anyone know how long it takes to be completley gone and too feel normal again? I dont know anyone who has been happy on this birth control!

my daughter is 16 and was diagnosed with pcos(polycystic ovarian syndrome), and was prescribed Yasmin. She's only on it 4 days, but today she had an anxiety attack(which she never had before), and then she broke out into a sweat and her heart was racing. The side effects do n ot list any of those symptoms. Did anyone have the symptoms I just mentioned? ALso, did anyone ever gegt treated for pcos without birth controL? Thanks for your help.
