If you take lipitor, you will be interested in this.
I have taken it upon myself to do my own studies into cholesterol and heart disease. I painstakingly studied various countries comparing rates of heart disease to cholesterol levels in each country.
From the Data, I can honestly say that I find no relationship between total serum cholesterol and heart disease. More surprising is the data showing higher cholesterol levels associated with less disease and longevity.

eat avocados to help with cramps. No one tells u that prednisone depletes potassium. Better avocados than banana because prednisone also raises your blood sugar.

I have been taking ambien for about five years. I have experimented with 5mg, 10mg and ambien CR, and mixing small doses (5mg or less) with one Advil PM. Mixing the two worked very well for a while. All I want is to feel rested and sharp during the day. I have been known to cook elaborate meals and make a MESS in the kitchen only to wake up the next morning with chicken burrito all over my bed with me. I have also sent emails and made calls I don't remember. I also... and this is the worst... did some online shopping and bid on many EBAY items that I had no memory of. When you wake up and your credit card is laying next to your computer on the bed... your in big trouble.

My daughter who is 3 was on Singulair for severe allergies. We stopped it 4 days ago and her allergy symptoms are returning. Does anyone who used Singulair for their children for allergies know of any Safe alternatives to try? We used Claritin and Zyrtec in the past and both were not successful. Thanks!

Ever since I have been taking Coreg CR I feel tired and have less energy. I also will on occasion have shortness of breath going up stairs etc. I did not have these symptoms before so I feel worse. I am diabetic and recently had l stent placed in one artery that was 70 % blocked. Does this sound usual?

Ladies!
When my mum pointed out this website, and blogs bout Yasmin,
and after reading just a few,
i bursted out crying.
after just 3 months on Yasmin
i was completely, utterly depressed.
being a 15 year old then, it was the worst thing
in the world.
i am a highly trained athlete,
and this pill made me gain over 7 kgs.
training 8 times a week, and 3 dryland,
and STILL packing on the kgs was
unimaginable.
i became completely self conscious,
and stopped eating for days on end.
training suffered, but my muscles and body
suffered more.
all my muscles got completely fatigued and
i lost most of my fast-twitch muscle fibers.
apart from this i obtained a COMPLETE
Fluid retention in every part of my body.
thighs and face the worst.
i couldnt move my joints very freely,
and nothing would let this go.
the absolute worst part was the depression
and anxiety that came from this all.
i remember having 2 weeks off school,
and all i did, was stay home, in bed and cry.
i broke up with my boyfriend, and didn't want
a n y o n e to care about me, i even made a list,
of everyones names and crossed them
off as they hated me.
i cut myself, and hurt myself, especially on my legs
where my mind just hated seeing them,
and feeling this way.
could NOT stand being in my swim-wear during training,
i would run out, and cry if i saw someone look at me.
paranoia.
to feel this out of control with your own body,
is the worst feeling in the world.
i would cry.
everyday. every night.
and i couldnt stop.
i would be moody, and angry, and hopeless,
and start verbal fights everywhere i went.
and i didn't even know why.
after reading this all,
suddenly, everything made sense.
my doctor, told me, in specific words
"they call this the 'luxury pill' its the most expensive,
and has least side effects than any of the others."
i showed her this website.
after i went off it, i had the three day blues,
mum said, just like after pregnancy.
i cried, and cried and cried.
would be sitting in class, and bursted out in tears.
things were horrible.
its now about 6 months later, of not being on anything,
my periods just began back after not having them
for 4 months, and my body, is no where
near how it was before i went on pill,
but its getting there :)
one day I'm going to be an amazing swimmer.
and on the Australian team.
i guess, if i had not had this experience
i would never be this determined now.
I Would NEVER Recommend This Pill
To Any Girl Or Woman.
EVER.
Its Amazing What One
TINY Little Pill Can Actually Do To You.
stay strong girls,

I had my Mirena removed on December 9, 2007. I inserted that damn thing on July 26, 2007 and that was the first night i tossed in bed for 4 hours. One week later my physician prescribed Ambien CR for insomnia. It's gotten so bad since then that not even two Ambiens put me to sleep. well, fast forward 4 months, and two $200.00 visits to a hypnotist, and absolutely crazy depression(from not sleeping for nights) I finally associated the two. I removed this thing that's been destroying me, my marriage and my two kids. It's only been two days and i still couldn't sleep. but I am giving my body a chance to detox. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get rid of these side effects? I can't wait.

I dream constantly every night, the curtian moving in the room could wake me and I have fibromyalgia. Ambien (regular) works wonders for me for about 4 hours. I'm out. Sleep wake rested...just don't know what to do with the rest of my night. Puts my fibromyalgia into remission. I tried CR to see if I could get 8 hours of sleep. OMG, the 4 days I took it around 10pm..up at 7a but I don't remember anything until about 10a and parts of my day after were missing. Drowsy all day, irritable. NO MORE CR.

Hello to you all. I have been on Toprol XL for 8-10 months. I have "palpitations" which is why I was placed on this med. Also a diagnosis of Mitral Valve Prolapse. My doctor told me that the MVP can trigger the palpitations and that Toprol is the drug of choice. It helped for a few days. I felt like a new person at first. Then the palpitations gradually started to come back. I have gained 10 lbs. I am 50 years old and assumed that my wt gain was menopause. Now I think that is NOT the answer. I am an RN and I intend to wean myself off of the Toprol after reading the messages here! Why do I need to keep taking a medicine that is causing me to get fat and is NOT controlling my symptoms? Good luck to you all.

Developed sleep walking, eating, talking, running machinery and watching TV while I was supposedly asleep. This was witnessed by my niece who was very scared. It lasted for about an hour. This is not the first time but this is the first time someone witnessed it. I had suspected all along because I saw used dishes and empty containers in the kitchen in the morning. Have been off it for 3 days now and thank God. Never will I take it again although it seemed to work well for 2 years. I have gained so much weight from the night eating. That guy on the news who says he drove his car after taking Ambien, I now believe him!

hi guest 40578, sorry to hear about all the problems you have had with yasmin, all the side effects you mentioned are quite common, it is really important that you take good care of yourself whilst "detoxing" this cr@p out of your body, take a good multivit with magnesium and b6 & b12 you may also consider some milk thistle to cleanse your liver of all the excess bad hormones that are floating around your bloodstream. if you can scroll through these pages and the side effect pages you will find a link to the yasmin survivors site,i am afraid i cannot post the link anymore as the people who run this board have asked me not to because it obviously diverts traffic from this site, the yasmin survivors site is for women who have taken yasmin or yaz and are dealing with the side effects both whilst on and off yasmin, there is loads of information about supplements to try and also it is just a place to chat to ther women who know what you are going through.
best wishes to you.

I was on Depakote CR for 2.5 weeks 1000mg. When I contacted my pdoc she and told her the side effects: (lethargic, dizziness, tired, seeing double), she told me to stay on the medication. I had difficulty at work so I dropped myself down to 500mg (even had trouble with the 500mg trying to work). I am now seeing a new pdoc and told her the story. She is weaning me off the med, I am now taking 250mg for the next 4 days and starting Ripersdal (however you spell it).

Have taken a 30 day round of Paxill CR 12.5mg and have been off for 8 days. While on the drug my hands shook so bad I could not write or hold a cup. My heart raced and I had dizzy spells. It did, however; allow my current stress/anxiety level to become tollerable. My thinking was much more clear. Now that I am off I have noticed diminished shaking and racing. Jan 23,2003

I have been taking Tegretol 200 mg CR - twice daily for treatment of Jacksonian seizure since last 3.5 months. There is no recurrence of seizure (which happened 4-5 times on single day before I started treatment)but I had encountered for few times some shaking sensation (like one responds when attacked physically by raising hand towards the face!). Also I have observed increased boils on head and armpits, increase in sleep and increase of weight.
