54 years old male on zocor (simvastatin) 40mg for 4 years, two years ago I start with problems in my shoulders (feel horrible) arms, hands and legs. Pain, numbness, cramp, tingling, muscle spams and weakness, my body is very weak.
I visited several doctors and pain management, therapy, medicine, nerve conduction test, MRI, CTscan, nerve block, carpal tunnel surgery, injection in my cervical and toracic spine I don't feel relief doctors doesn't knows the statin fault.
I found this page and I have been off zocor for 4 weeks and not relief yet.
Does any one know how long it takes zocor to get completely out of my system?

I am not currently using nuvaring anymore because of a side effect I haven't really found anyone else experiencing. I would like to share my story and if anyone has had the same or similar symptoms please let me know because I am totally bewildered about it. I started using nuvaring after the birth of my daughter in December. I was on the ring for about one to two weeks. At first everything was fine but I started to experience very unique chest pains. The best way I can describe them is they felt like they were in the tissue and flesh in between my skin and my rib cage, and it felt like the area was being squished in a vice, and then my back would start to hurt alot. They first started about once every other day, but then got more frequent to the point when I stopped they were constant. I could not sleep because the only comfortable position was to sit down hunched over with a pillow on my stomach, with my back up against my headboard. My husband brought up the point that it could be the ring, and at that point I was willing to consider anything. I quit using the ring, and the pain stopped, for a little while. But it is still ongoing to this day. Although it only happens about once or twice a month, the pain is no less severe. I am sure it was the nuvaring or the ingredients in it that has triggered this because I have never had this problem before using it. Please if anyone has any advice or ideas, your help would be very much appreciated.

I was on the NuvaRing for about 4 months. Within the first month I was a wreck, suffering from depression, crying all the time and feeling anxious. By the second month I started to feel chest pains. My doctor said it was not related and I was stupid enough to believe them and kept it in, but not for long. The chest pain got so bad that I took it out and went to the ER. I had a CTscan and nothing was found. This was all well over a year ago. Since then I have had trouble breathing properly. Just siting down and typing I find have to make sure I am breathing, instead of it happening naturally. I have done every lung function/heart test and nothing is coming back irregular. Has anyone had this problem? I feel like I am going insane and no one can help me. I have rad a lot about side effects while on the ring, but has anyone suffered long term effects that are undiagnosed?

My son was born March 2007, when he was 8wks old, to much of my surprise I found out that I was pregnant again. Mirena sounded perfect!!!! I had it placed 7 weeks after my 2nd son was born in Jan 2008. I had what I still assume is normal with any type of birth control method, irregular bleeding, cramping, some slight mood swings. That all seems normal to me when you mess with you body like that. Aug 1, 2008 I woke up at4am with awful abdominal pain sooo bad that I turned to my husband and said that I think I have to go to the hospital. I decided that if I could fall back asleep then its probably nothing major. I fell back asleep (or passed out, I don't know) The next morning I was hurting so bad I couldn't lift anything, couldn't stand up straight, felt weak and felt as though I had rocks in my stomach but had an empty feeling at the same time. The pain was all over my abdomen, stabbing, shooting, pinching. I also had pain aroung my belly button and a noticeable discomfort about my pevic bone. Finally I called my husband to come home, went to the hospital, they took blood, cultures, did an exam and did a ctscan. All normal! WHAT!! Aug 11th still having pain and now having MAJOR HOT FLASHES. I find myself getting so hot and irritated that I cant be around the babies because I am afraid I will yell at them. If I get in a little disagreement with my husband it will most likely end with me saying I want a divorce (I noticed another lady with that same problem) Today I had a ultra sound done and it came back what my (new) doctor says is normal. The problem with that is that one of my ovaries is split and is NOW shaped like a horse-shoe. I was pregnant for almost 2yrs straight and had lots of ultrasounds NOT ONE TIME did anyone say anything about a odd ovary. I'm just going to make a educated guess that it wasn't deformed till after the Mirena. Now I am wanting to remove it but feel like I should get every test known to man first to rule out any other possibility. I really don't want to remove it. I am afraid of getting it removed and even more of getting pregnant when I already have two 10 months apart and still in diapers.
My biggest question is wanting to know if hot flashes are related or if I might be having something else going on. Am I the only one with he hot flashes? I have them all day long!!!!!!!!
Also I noticed after reading other post that some other things may be related like, piercing headaches, itchy flaky oily scalp, weight gain, ear drainage, lower back pain, oily skin, increased smoking, in-grown hairs in inner thigh area, joint pain, fatigue, decrease sex drive.

Thank you for starting this website. I thought I was loosing my mind. I have been tracking my side effects for months thinking I had RA, Lupus and/or a thyroid problem. I spent most of Tuesday in the ER due to a migraine that I'd had for a week and a half. Now, normal CTScan, MRI, MRA, and blood tests later, maybe I have found an aswer. Pills are in the trash and my husband has placed an order with theyfit.com. I am 33 and had taken Yasim for the past year after taking tricyclen for 2 years.

My symptoms include:
sever blaoting
weight gain (20 lbs)
tight muscles
joint pain
never ending headaches - now a true migraine
stomach upset
acid reflex
constipation
blurred vision with spots in my line of sight
swelling
tinitus (ringing in my ears)
extreme exhaustion
sever mood swings - particularly PMS related
craving sugar\anxiety and depression

I found a web page regarding homoral deficiencies and my symptoms match up with their checklist. Whatever the synthetic hormone in this stuff is makes us sick! Hopefully, by stopping the pill and letting my body be "normal" for awhile, I will feel "normal" again - 33 not 80!
