Mirena vs. Marriage Its only been 3 months since I got my Mirena; and I am having it removed in 3 days. Thanks to your posts on this site which have confirmed my concerns. My most ALARMING side effect are pin point, sharp pains on the surface of my skin, on my legs especially. I kept thinking that I had just been bitten by a very small bug and I would swat at my leg; even though I couldn't see a bug. Another time I was in a restaurant and it felt as if a large drop of water fell from the ceiling onto by back. I looked up to see if the air conditioner was leaking (or something else...maybe a bird in the rafters...???) I even asked my husband, "Is there a wet mark on the back of my shirt? I just felt something fall on me." With a condescending smile he answered "No honey, there is not." After 19 years of marriage, 5 kids and CLEARLY not enough good birth control: I had just handed him all the evidence he needed to blame me for the next 20 years of marital bliss (AKA: symbiotic dysfunction)
Additional side effects (of Mirena...and Marriage too!): severe joint pain -knees, hips & elbows, fatigue, weight gain, insomnia, hard time falling asleep, muscle ache, mood swings, lack of concentration, depressed, forgetful and what else....I cant remember ;)

I recently delivered a healthy baby girl (Feb 9th) in which 1 week later I developed a blood clot on my brain and was hospitalized for 1 week after experiencing 4 seizures. They told me it was pregnancy related and I would be on warfarin for 6-9 months until the clot dissolved. I too am experiencing: fatigue, extreme dizziness, light headedness, I am seeing spots all of the time, I am getting leg cramps and foot cramps a lot, I feel really weak, and just plain old. I will be 37 years old this July, and I feel way too young to be feeling this way all of the time. I can not handle going to the lab 2-3 times every week for blood work, my veins are collapsing and bruising really bad. I cry every time I leave, my husband must think I'm such a loser. It has been almost 3 months now and I just got my first period since my daughter was born. I thought I was going to bleed to death. My husband had to watch me around the clock to make sure I didn't have to be rushed into emergency. This sucks....I'm trying to remain strong, and doing lots of praying these days....Thanks for letting me share my story.....

I have MS and FINALLY tried the Solu-Medrol. 3 days infusion and then once a month for the next 5 months. I have been on it for 3 months. The pain in my joints goes away almost completely, though it comes back sooner now than at first. It feels great not to hurt. The metallic taste and bloating is worth it. The first several years after being diagnosed, I would not take it. Now I can hardly wait for my next infusion. I also take Betaseron injections every other day.

I haven't even been on NuvaRing for a whole month, but I have noticed several side effects. First I had severe lower back pain, similar to the pain I had during my first pregnancy. I have also been depressed, and tonight when I should have been enjoying sex with my husband, I discovered just how much my sex drive had diminished. I was so dry, and that never happens! I am taking NuvaRing out for good in three days. Thanks to all who have posted here. I am now certain that my problems are related to the NuvaRing.

Thank you, I will make a report. I also developed very severe lower back pain and it's very difficult to walk when I wake up, or after sitting for a while. I did just discover that ibuprofen helps. I hope these symptoms slowly disappear. It so happened that the symptoms started when I was nearly finished. Happy to say that my tendons seem to be fine. The odd thing is that I was given Tequin about 18 months ago and that was fine--I felt very good with that medication. I'll check back in a few days. Thanks, once again.

I have suffered from Fibromyalgia for over 12 years so muscle pain, fatigue and memory loss is a way of life. It concerns me that some of the increased pain and fatigue could be related to Zocor. I have been on it approx on year. The new thing I am experiencing is knots, cysts, tumors what ever they are are showing up all over my body. I have one in the muscle of my left shoulder and have experienced extreme pain with limited use. Has anyone else experience this happening to them? Taking Zocor is the only thing that I have done differently in the last year. Going to the Doctor about all of this in 3 days. Thanks Debbie

I have been taking Yasmin for 11 days to help with my acne but have decided to stop taking it. I have experienced the following side effects:
-- By janine99 | Reply | (2) replies | Private Message meExtreme fatigue
Strange taste in mouth
Heightened sense of smell
Extremely emotional
Blurred vision.
It could be that these symptoms will subside within a few weeks/months of use but I don't feel like myself and I am not willing to take that risk. I refuse to put this into my body any longer. I'd rather be 'me' with spots. Can anyone tell me what I might experience over the next few days? Thanks
