I started taking Zocor for raised cholesterol at 10 mg. I had none of the usual muscle pain side effects. I was then switched to 20 mg Zocor.

I now wake up in the morning depressed! There is NO reason for my depression or anxiety. I actually think it started at the 10 mg dosage.

Anyone find DEPRESSION and ANXIETY as a legitimate Zocor side effect?

I have fibromyalgia so when I complained to my doctor about the increased and almost unbearable pain after being on Lipitor it was not taken seriously, also blood tests showed up negative for any problems. Finally after being sent to a arthritis specialist he took me off the drug. He also told me that half of the patients that he see that are on Lipitor have serious side effects even though blood works shows nothing. More than a year off the drug I still have chronic and debilitating tendonitis in both arms and bursitis in both hips- which doctors tell me is highly unusual.

OMG, I was on Levaquin for approx 4-5 weeks, 500mg twice a day. I have muscle aches, deep body aching, feel like I ran a marathon, my feet hurt so much that I have to limp when I get up to walk, my legs feel like lead, strange pains throughout my body at any time of day or night, my right foot swelled slightly, and my right hand is stiff and I have to pry it open in the morning. Today I felt so weak, I thought I would pass out.
I've been off this drug for almost two weeks now, with no end in sight from these side effects. Why the heck are doctors still prescribing this drug. Anybody interested in a class action lawsuit against the manufacturer?

I have only been taking Yasmin for a month (to control heavy bleeding - not to prevent birth) I thought it was only mental that I have been in a bad mood for the last 2 weeks but after reading this - I believe Yasmin has been causing my bad mood, almost like I'm in a depressed state. I am going to call my doctor and switch.. or just deal with the heavy bleeding!

I have suffered from Fibromyalgia for over 12 years so muscle pain, fatigue and memory loss is a way of life. It concerns me that some of the increased pain and fatigue could be related to Zocor. I have been on it approx on year. The new thing I am experiencing is knots, cysts, tumors what ever they are are showing up all over my body. I have one in the muscle of my left shoulder and have experienced extreme pain with limited use. Has anyone else experience this happening to them? Taking Zocor is the only thing that I have done differently in the last year. Going to the Doctor about all of this in 3 days. Thanks Debbie

i have rha,sle lupus and thyroid disease. i'm 51 yrs old and took a break from the prednisone hoping i'd be on a new med soon but, i can't get it done . So, it will be back to the pred..because it's the only thing that works for me so far. i don't know alot about it and would like to know how others handled taking it long term . i had the moon face, and weight gain and seemed was always angry and tired. anyhow, thanks .

My doctor just gave me a presription. I wanted to see what it was all aboutl Right now I take sonata for sleepmg and vicodin everyday because I have had neck surgery. Just tired of taking medicaion. Checkig.

I don't take Lipitor but I do take Pravacol and Zetia together. They are statin drugs. I take 20mg. of Pravacol and 10mgs. of Zetia. I am so glad I was sent this info from other people. I just know that since taking these drugs that I have experiened extreme pain and stiffness in both shoulders. Went to orthopedic dr. and was told I had forzen shoulders. Since reading all of the complaints from other people, I am inclined to believe that it is coming from these drugs. I can't sleep at nite due to the pain and soreness. Been thru physical therapy and cortizone shot with no relief. I am 50 yrs old and feel like 80 sometimes. I was always very active and I just don't want to do anything anymore. I just make myself do it. Thank you all for this info. I hope I can reverse this whole ordeal. Debbie ***

Debbie - shortness of breath, loss of energy, fatigue and weight gain. Help!
