I was taking Lipitor (can't remember how long and what mg) and started feeling like I was continously in a fog and having memory problems. These were so bad that my GP sent me to a Neurologist for MRI and CT scans with results showing nothing wrong. I decided that this started after I went on the Lipitor and took myself off of it. The "fog has lifted" but I still have some memory problems. I am now taking Zetia and have started having muscle pains and cramps. I'm going to give up on cholesterol lowering medications. If I can't lower it with diet and exercise I'll just take my chances with the high cholesterol!

Anna & guest 35755... Thanks for writing, this is my first day without it, I have not had any side effects yet but I am scared to death. I think my husband and I have decided that this is enough with the BC pills and I will not be getting on anymore of any kind after this.

Hi everyone
Have decided to quit taking Yasmin after reading all your comments. I was due to start a new cycle today but after finally talking with my husband about how I am on this pill and putting it all together with the help of this site I have decided that this is not the one for me! I have a problem in that I live in a country where I barely speak the language and BCP is bought over the counter. I have no idea what to do in terms of trying another pill or what pill people might suggest??
Last week my mood has been horrific (work has been stressful and I put my snapping and bad mood down to that but its no less stressful today and I feel fine) I have had a fairly laid back weekend and feel more energetic (or is this due to being free of the pill for a week??)
My sex drive is still nill so the chances of unwanted pregnancy at this stage is negligable and I feel that I should make the right decision next time.
Any ideas??????

I've been on Metformin for about the past three years. I'm now 65 and a half, and I've recently decided that this drug has caused me a lot of muscle pain, making it hard to take walks (which I force myself to do) and to sleep. I used to put this problem on my age, but since my doctor has been cutting my prescripts back, I am improving. In fact, if I miss a day or two of the meds I am much better. I've never been on Zocor or any Statins (my side effects sound a lot like those mentioned in the Zocor Forum), and refuse to go on them, and am now wondering if I should refuse to be on this stuff any longer, as well.

I took this BC for only a month...after just my first month I decided that this pill was NOT for me!!! I got my period like clockwork in my last week of the packet. This month I haven't gotten my period yet I STILL am experiencing the cramps...has anyone experienced a missed period after having stopped Loestrin?!?!?
