I wouldn't try the patch because of skin sensitivity, shots just seem really wrong to me, but I have been taking different oral contraceptives for nearly fifteen years. Fortunately I haven't had a pulmonary embolism which was definitely a risk because I was a smoker the whole time. Every time I switched pill brands, it was because of insurance copays, it would be non-preferred. However, I was still diagnosed with endometriosis and had one ovarian cyst removed laparoscopically and one ruptured on its' own. Endometriosis is less common in women on the pill because of the ovulation regulation...so I imagine things could have been so much worse. I was able to ask to take the pill continuously, meaning I'd skip the sugar pill week. Oh heaven! Without the pill I have severe cramps, PMS, heavy bleeding, pain and numbness in the crotch area, diarrhea, and was emotionally unstable. Although I suffer from depression, I don't feel that the pill has affected that much at all. I've recently quit smoking, and now am on the Nuvaring because of drug interactions. I've been spotting for 10 days now at least, and been on the ring for a month. I know there is a transition period, but this is not acceptable. My request to my doctor is to get back on some sort of pill on my insurance's preferred list. I'm starting to break out too. I want my pill back!

Hi I am a 22 year old who started taking yasmine in march 2007 by the end of my 3rd month i began to realize that i was having savere side affects to my BC thanks to my mother! I was having really bad migraines in the first months but they went away, having forgot they were giving me migraines i continued to take it since they went away. My last week of the white pills in the 3rd month i had 3 random panic attacks for no reason. I went to see my Dr who prescirbed me zoloft. I have not been known to be anxious or depressed before. from sun to thurs i was on zoloft and a nervous wreck. I was anxious, emotional, depressed, and having horrible thoughts. I discontinued the zoloft but started my next pack of BC and was still having an emotional crisis. I then spoke to a pharmacist who said to go off and if i feel better within a week my feelings could be attributed to the BC. It has now been since saturday that i took my last pill. It has definetely been a roller coaster but i do think i am getting better! The thoughts are much less, i am able to experience joy, but i do get a little anxious at time. I think the anxiousness is from going through such a traumatic experience. I haven't spoken to an OBGYN about my problem because im afraid they will just say its just me, and BC couldnt have these affects! I think We woman know our bodies and im just looking forward to feeling 100% better althought i think it may take some time. I would love to talk to someone else about there expeirences if you would like to contact me my e-mail is ******* Thanks for sharing your stories and hopefully mine will be of some help to you.. oh yeah and i dont want sex, i dont know which side affect is worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was definetely warned by my cardiologist that I would feel cough symptoms. He also told me NOT to get pregnant. I am concerned that I am on Lasix and although the recommendations are to take 6 - 8 glasses of water while on Lisonopril, this is contraindicative to the Lasix which already gets rid of excess water. My newest concern is that I have read weight gain as one of the symptoms and if I start gaining weight, this will cause pressure on my heart. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED WEIGHT GAIN?

Eryka- thank you for the response. From what I had been reading on the site it seemed as though what I was feeling was the same as what many others had gone through but I thought maybe I was just crazy. I will definetely be getting off this pill and switching to something else. I really appreciate the input. Now I know it is not just in my head.

I posted side effects on Jan.9, 2006 - Guest #15065. I have not taken Advair since that date, so am on my 12th day without. I am sleeping! I have had only a couple of mild arch cramps compared to the charlie horses that brought me to tears. My breathing is okay, even though I live in the mountains and have been in some cold winds. I have not gone on a mountain hike yet, and that will be the test. I will repost after that. Advair is DEFINETELY a drug I can do without.

I DISLOCATED MY SHOULDER AND THANK GOODNESS FOR THESE! I HAVE TAKEN THEM BEFORE WITH AN IMPACTED TOOTH AND I LOVED THEM THEN TOO. ITS CRAZY TO SEE ALL OF THESE TESTIMONIES AND THE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAYS LORTAB AFFECTS PEOPLE. THE DEFINITELY "MAKE ME HIGH" TO BE HONEST. BUT HELL I LIKE IT, AND I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ADDICTION SO WHY NOT. =) FUNNY THING IS I CANNOT TAKE VICODIN BY ITSELF. ILL HAVE NO PAIN RELIEF AND AN UPSET STOMACH. STRANGE BUT EVEN FROM READING THESE CLAIMS IT IS EASY TO SEE THAT EVERYONES BODY IS AFFECTED DIFFERENTLY.
