I'm in my ninth day of a ten day regimen of Levaquin for treatment of a sinus infection. I suppose I have fared better than most on this board. I Googled Levaquin and ringing ears due to a recent onset of that symptom. I have also had a mild, nagging headache at the base of my skull or upper neck. I have also experienced a slight queasiness in the past two days, but nothing close to nausea. The past three nights, I have had unusually vivid dreams, although I don't recall any of them being what I would describe as nightmares. Finally, in the past two days, I have experienced what I can only describe as deja vu kind of feelings throughout the day. My symptoms have increased somewhat during the past several days, but none could be described as severe. I guess I will take my final dose and hope for the best, but I will probably try to avoid this drug in the future.

My 2 year-old daughter is having similar behavior issues to those described here. Her doctor put her on Singulair in the spring, and we noticed a change in her behavior, so I took her off of it. Now, after having more asthma symptoms, a new pediatrician prescribed it to her again. When I told the doctor that it had turned our daughter into a monster when she took it before, the doctor said she didn't believe it was the medicine. Well, after one day of taking it this time, I told my husband that I was having deja vu, that our daughter was behaving exactly the same way. He said, "Well, she IS two"--implying that he didn't believe it was the medicine either. Well, yesterday, when he came home from work while she was in the middle of a horrible fit, he said, "Don't give her Singulair again." She is normally a sweet, well-rested, sociable little girl (yes, she is 2, but even if she throws a tantrum, she can usually be reasoned with or distracted. . . but not on Singulair). On Singulair she's a tantrum-throwing mess.

I first started taking Zoloft about 2years ago. I was dealing with things that were really taking their toll on me. Ive never suffered from side affects, other then not being able to sleep sometimes. I switched from taking it at night, to taking it in the morning, and it helped a whole lot. About 2 weeks ago, I just sort of forgot to take it, and then the next day, again, I had forgotten to take it. When my mother asked me about it, I thought about it, and decided that i wanted to just stop completely. Its been 2 weeks nw, as I said, and Im really doing okay. The only thing thats bothered me is sort of like a deja vu feeling. I guess youd call that fatigue. I have not mentioned any of this to my doctor, but ill be interested in listening to what he has to say.
Im feeling fine, and my head is so clear now.
