THIS IS A HORRIBLE DANGEROUS DRUG!!!!!
Doctors prescribed this to my mother for 5 years!!!! Because of it's devastating side effects it is FDA approved for short term 4-12 weeks and only as a last resort. And NEVER for Parkinson's patients. It is unclear if Reglan caused the Parkinson's like symptoms or if she had it prior. Either way the doctor was so wrong to prescribe this medication to her. She is completely disabled can't walk or even get out of a chair had a auto accident and falls one time a metal frame fell on her head causing a hospital visit another time she fell into cactus! I was horrified to learn that no one caught this error. Not one doctor or the drug store told my parents REGLAN could cause her to end up using a walker and unable to function even the simplest daily tasks and that these symptoms could be permanent.

My 32-yr. old daughter died on 12/7/07. She left a son who turned 3 yrs old last week -- 1/26/08 and a 7-month old daughter. NuvaRing, we believe, is what caused the clot that killed her. Get off this stuff - it's a killer. Please do not wait. See a pulmonary specialist asap. You are better off with 10 kids. This stuff is severely dangerous.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease over thirty-one years ago. I have taken Predisone many times over the period of my illness. My Crohn's Disease has been very aggressive and I have lost all but 250 cm of my bowel. Prednisone has been the only drug that has been able to help but at great cost to me. I am now disabled from the disease and the side effects of the drug. The most devestating side effect is the weight gain. I am now 80lbs heavier than when I was diagnosed. The moon face is very difficult to deal with. Everyone says they know it's from the meds but that doesn't help when I look in the mirror. The fat deposits in my abdomen are very embrassing to me as well.
The sweats, blurred vision, nervousness, hyperactivity, exhaustion, acne, slepplessness, shaking, joint pain (so bad I can hardly walk when I am on the meds), mood swings, depression, swelling (water retention so bad I can hardly bend my legs), the muscle wasting in my thighs, the conective tissue damage making it hard to heal from surgery, difficulty concentrating, bone weakness ( I break ribs very easily) and so many more...all this is too much to pay to control a disease.
They really need to find better drugs now. If you can try something else instead of Prenisone I strongly recomend that you do. It should always be a last resort.

The devestating side effects from statin drugs are now a world wide problem. Still, many physicians are uneducated about these side effects, and this ignorance has only served to badly tarnish the image of physicians. If you are a physician reading this and you prescribe statins. And you are unaware of the toxicology of these drugs, then on behalf of all victims of this drug, please educate yourself or SHUT DOWN YOUR PRACTICE AND GO HOME!

When I take Welchol, my whole body is wrenching in pain from the muscle spasm, stomach pain, and I can't sleep from the pain. My body feels as if someone has taken it and just twisted it from my legs up. My doctor prescribed me to take 2 tablets 3 x per day. If I take one during the day, I can usually make it without too much pain. But if I take just 1 tablet in the evening, I am miserable and cannot sleep. I have lipitor and am trying to just take it, but the doctor says I need to take the welchol. My cholesterol is very high and my good cholesterol is extremely low. I know that this drug is supposed to help with raising your good cholesterol, but the side effects are devestating. Even now when I do not take welchol, I have really bad pain in my lower back and hips.
