Prednisone is a miracle drug that is saving my life. I realize that the side effects can happen and do. I've experienced them too: pockets of fat on my face even though I've lost 25 pounds; loss of hair; Thrush in the mouth and other yeast infections; hyperactivity; insomnia; blurry vision; the shakes; reduction in muscle tone; and secondary infections because of compromised immune system. I have pulmonary fibrosis and waiting for a lung transplant. There is no known cause, cure, or treatment of this terminal disease and most patients die in 1-5 years. Prednisone is the only drug that will at least slow the disease down until I receive that transplant call. I realize that most people on this post are not terminally ill and you can say, "no" to this drug; but just wanted you to know that for some of us it's a miracle drug.

All this side effects...especially the foggy head the cramp and the depression, very funny dreams and bad sleep, I had with the Diana pill. After stopping this pill I felt 200 percent better, but unfortunatly dropped me right into pre menopause and I am much too young for it. So decided to have a look at the Yasmin...but sheeeesh this side is scary....
I don't respond very well to a pill anyway. Is there a pill that does not have those foggy head, sleepless nights and depression side effects?

My doctor told me it would take a full two weeks to a month for Advair to have full effect. Two weeks after starting it I started getting short of breath. A month later I was having labored breathing. Six months later, he confirmed that I did indeed have an adverse reaction to Advair. There are a growing number of patients who cannot tolerate it and have to seek an alternative.

Hi Diana, I have been on Advair about 28 days now and seem to be having your symptoms with it at times, it does not seem to be helping as much as it did at first and my breathing is getting worse again and am having to supplement with my albuterol more and more as it helps. What helped you after your reaction to Advair? Thanks, Cherie

If you would like to see a pretty comprehensive list of the side effects of using Advair, and also learn of all the complications that could arise from its use and the interactions of other asthma medications, please read our just-launched website at: www.asthma-advair-danger.com You'll find information on medication interactions and even how acid reflux can affect asthma. The website was created to educate others like ourselves and to help asthmatics know the truth. We wish you well.
Listen to your body,
Diana

4 months ago started on preastatin 20mg increased within 1 month to 40mg; could not stand up without help; stopped statins at that time. CPK done 157, this was done to show me I wasn't in danger of rhabdomylysis, I continue to suffer with swelling R leg and severe pain. Leg is still swollen 4 months later.....I am professional RN in ICU ,,can't really do my job as necessary...Should I file for disability; or does someone have an answer to provide relief for this malady???
