I started taking Levaquin for strep throat. I am 22 years old and it good health. I was supposed to take it for 5 days. During the 5 days my stomach felt a bit uneasy, but I was expecting that because i usually have a small stomach ache when taking anti-biotic. On the fourth day i ended up bed ridden. I woke up with severe diarrhea, and threw up. I attempted to go to work, but my symptoms got worse. I ended up in bed with severe stomach and body pain for the rest of the day not able to move or hold anything down. If i tried to drink or eat anything i either threw it up or had diarrhea. It was worse than the flu. I then looked up side effects of Levaquin and found the following: feeling restless or anxious; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain; headache, drowsiness, dizziness;sleep problems (insomnia). I fell under each of those categories. This drug is evil. They said keep taking it but consult with your Dr... yea right. I was DONE with it. I'd rather get strep again than go through that again! DON'T TAKE LEVAQUIN!

My Mom is 57 years old was given Omnicef in November of 2006. She stopped taking it after she began bleeding and diareha within 4 days of taking this medication. Since then she has been in and out of the hosipital and even trips in an Ambulance from her legs swelling. She has had one doctor tell her that they believe it to be caused from the Omnicef. Now they have her on Pretizone because they think that it started Rhumetoid Arthiritis. She is on three other medications for this and she still is in pain when she walks. It takes her over an hour to get out of bed in the morning and for the swelling in the ankles and legs to go down after she takes the medication. The doctors seem to be doing a lot of guess work right now. I would like to find her a new doctor at the Cleveland Clinic but since the doctor's are unsure of what is wrong with her, I have no idead what type of specialist I need to contact to get her an appointment.

After using maxide for about a week I experienced uncollable urination and diareha like experiences along with extreeme weakness. There was also a loss of appetite and bizarre dreams. There was some muscle cramping. I ceased taking it and felt an immediate relief.

I have been on Wellbutrin for 4 days. I was taken of Paxil which seemed to have unpleasent side effects. I am sweatin like pig during sleep. I sweat so much I have to change. I also feel very anxios and irritable. I'm crying because I've tried everything and this is the last resort for me, I can't take it any more. In addition I have severe diareha and I'm not hearing any of these complants. Am I hopeless?

After having severe Diareha for two days I was Taken to the ER by my roomate. I had a temp of 103.8 and was severly dehydrated. I was admitted, they gave me electrolytes, potassium and Levaquin IV. Within 30 minutes I became nausious(SP?). Over the next few hours I began to swell and my hands began to tingle. Even though I complained each time a nurse or Dr came to my room of pain and numbness in my hands they continued to give me the Levaquin. By the third day I had turned beet red and my feet were also numb. I refused to let them take my blood pressure for fear of my fingertips exploding when the cuff was tightened. A different Dr switched me to Rocphen. But the swelling and numbness persisted. That was the middle of May and to this day I have no feeling in my index, middle or ring fingers on both hands. I have had an EMG that showed "no response" of the nerve.... DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG OR ALLOW ANYONE TO ADMINISTER IT TO YOU! Hell I could have come out of the severe dehydration with just electrolytes and no antibiotics. At least I would still have feelings in my hands.

I only had nightmares the first night (of 14). But when you wake up praying you know it is bad!! Extreme fatigue, nausea and the most ungodly diareha you can imagine. That part did not start until I had only four doses to go. I was told to eat lots of yogurt. I told them I ate yogurt until it came out my ass and it was not helping. Am on a probiotic now recommended by a friend who had a similar experience. I would never take this stuff again. It would however make a good weapon of mass destruction.

I have taken Vicodin for 12 years now after open heart surgery. My chest bone did not heal right and in 2002 had injuries to both my knees. My doctor took me off of the medication last week since all my heart medications that I take along with this is damaging my liver. I will tell all who is reading this that I have been taking 750mg 5 times a day for 12 years and I am having a tremendous amount of trouble coming off of this drug. I have not slept in days and all you can do is think about the drug. Diarrhea is a another problem with not taking it and major cold spells and sweating. Anyone that can avoid this I hope you do. Because of the damage to my liver I had no choice but to stop cold turkey, I hope and pray that these symptoms go away soon......
