I started taking Quasense in September. I was fine for the first 2 weeks, and then suddenly started having period like symptoms; cramping, mood swings, tiredness. Then came the bleeding. It is now mid October, and for the last month I have had a off and on heavy clotting, cramps, diarehea. Also, I was never one to get pimples, and have been battling acne now. I have also had a major decrease in my sex drive. The only positive (which really makes no difference when I look at the negatives) is that I have lost a few pounds while on this pill. My prescription was for the brand name seasonale, however I took quasense because I was assured by my pharmacist that it was the same all except for price.
Let me assure you.... Quasense is definetly not worth ANY co-pay, no matter how cheap or expensive it is, this has definetly been worse then getting a period once a month, considering you have a period almost the entire pack. UGH.

I am glad I am not alone!!! I started taking this in the hospital via IV for PID and sent home with 100mg 2x day. I have completed my dosages(quitting a day early because i have been on it over 10 days) and I am thrilled to be off. Each day the side effects got worse.
I have severe tightening in my chest, mentrual like cramping, difficulty swallowing, fatigue and white splotches on my face.
What I dont understand is why all of use can report these but yet nothing on the pamplet mentions any other effects other than gastric symptoms like vomitting and diarehea.
Now, I wonder how long it will take for the side effects to diminish?!

I am so relieved to have found this site, I seriously thought that I was really sick or jsut going crazy. I started Yasmin about 3 months ago and my GYN, made it sound like this mirical pill because I had been on over 10 different pills. At first I thought it was but after 2 weeks and got the following symptoms;

1. Nausea, Nausea, Nausea
2. Headaches
3. Cramping in my Hamstrings
4. Never wanted to sleep with my husband
5. Constipation
6. Bloating
7. Gas
8. Diarehea
10. Vomitting
11. Vaginal dryness
12. fatigue
13. ANXIETY and Panick attacks
14. Always thirsty and dehydriated
15. Constantly peeing

On the third month of the pill I started getting really dizzy and passed out at work and was rushed to the ER, where after numerous tests there was nothing wrong. I even had them test my potassium levels...NORMAL. So after being dehydrated from all the vomitting and Diarehea and excessive peeing. My husband and I decided to stop taking Yasmin. It is now day 4. And let me tell all of you that are thinking about quiting do so.

I am no longer nausous, no constipation, or bloating, no longer tired, and I want my husband. YEAH! The only thing that is still there is I am still a little anxious, but no panic attacks yet. I will keep everyone posted as all the side effects wear off.

I have been taking Macrobid for almost a week and have Extreme nausea also and the worse case of Diarehea I have ever had in my life, I have lost 8 Lbs in a week. I have had very little sleep because even at night I am waking up to use the restroom between 5-8 times. I have tried to talk to my Dr but all the responce I get is that its a normal side effect and after a few days the side effects will deminish. Urgh! frustrating!!
