Didnt know symptoms and conditions

I have had the mirena for two years and I hadn'd noticed anything major until reading this. I too have had a huge weight gain, I have gained about 25 lbs in 2 years, I am 39 years old and have weighed the same thing since middle school before mirena. I have had severe acne mostly on my forehead and sides of face and back, I had acne in high school but that was a little more than 20 years ago and I just thought it was returning, but didnt know why. I also have had lower back pain and some joint pain. my sex drive isnt that great either but I didnt think about mirena being the cause. I am not going to take it out yet because I dont want to get pregnant and dont know what else to use, I cant take birth control pills and I am allergic to so many things. I have not had any problems that I've noticed with bleeding or painful sex or some of the other things mentioned.

was put on toprol 25mgs. one year ago by my heart doctor, for tachycardia which only happened after stress. soon thereafter i developed a numbness in the toes of both feet. i saw my my intrenist who didnt know what it was from. i left the country and was livinf abroad until aug 07. while ther the paresthesia of my toes got worse and started traveling up my foot and half of my calf. saw my internist and was advised to see a neurolgist. he put me thru a series of blood test and an emg. all came up negative. went back to the internist and asked her to review my records from sept 2006. first thing she noticed was that i had been started on toprol. she told me one of the side effects is paresthesia of the feet and or hands, and advised me to cut the dose in half for a few weeks and then in half again in a effort to wean me off of it. its been only 3 days since i began to cut down and already the numbness is starting to decrease. has any one else experienced this? does it go entirely away? please write. hopefull

MY 9 year daughter has been taking singulair for 2 months and she has changed. She has twiching to where she has put marks on herself from doing it so hard against her body, I thought she was acting out for some reason but didnt know why and now I know. The change in sleeping patterns, moods, mean, physical, weight gain and me saying to her what is your problem. I should say what is the drug companys problem and the docs that tell you nothing of what could happen. Nothing but Health Food store meds now.

I was on NR in the early 2003... I was on it for like a week, if I recall it was a short time.... They doc placed me on it because of slow hormone release into my blood stream, before that I was on Yasmin, and had no issues, other then being very moody.... With in the first five days I was very sick, I had breathing issues, coughing, nausea, and every bad eye sight..... This was on a saturday, I had went to the doctor that very morning and he told me I just had a cold, need to go home take it easy and take meds... So I went home, was on the couch, taking the meds he gave to me, when all of sudden I couldnt breath, had very very very heavey chest, strong chest pains and I thought I was dying.... My mother was with me, she called the doc, and he said it could had been a reaction to the meds, just dont take anymore, if I am not better go to the ER.... By that night, was not able to breath at all, walking from the tv to the couch was not even possible, I actually thought I was dying... then during all of this, I began to get this deep pain in my inner thigh of my right leg... By Monday, the leg was HUGE, three times the size it should be... I was still not able to breath, I thought I was dying... I went to ER on Monday, they found nothing wrong with me.... Sent me back home.... This kept going on, and getting worse, they knew I couldnt breath but we didnt know why, they checked my heart and it was fine... So I went all week long, with this issue my leg just kept swelling bigger, and breathing was worse... By thursday, I was back to ER.... the Doc on duty, found the issue... I had a DVT, that was in my leg, and it was in my lung at this time.. was not sure if more was going to follow or what, but he said my body is not wanting to adjust to this, and is trying to shut down... I was to stay very still, and tell him everything I had and was taken in meds.... I told him about the cold meds that I had taken, but then he asked me about birth control, I told him, I had the Nuvaring in as we speak... he told me to pull it out, and NEVER use it again... I did.. and I was rushed to a larger Hospital, where the fight for my life began.... By the time I got there I had blood sugar over 380.. My body was not working right, I couldnt breath, I was dying... My body would not take any blood thinners, meds or anything, I smelled like death, they moved me to a private room, due to the smell.... I was vomiting, had major loose stool, and was not able to wear any clothes for a period of about two days... the doc there at the hospital told my family it would be a miracle if she pulls thru this, or even if she does, if she can keep the leg, (it was blocked 98% and was turning purple).... Her life will never be the same, and she has a very very high risk of this again, if not death in the near furture, she will have to be on blood thinners for the rest of her life.... to make a long story very short, I am still alive, of course, and I kept the leg, it swells from time to time, I actually walk on it, wear 3 inch heels and live as normal of a life as I can... July of 03 they were going to take the leg, and I asked the doc if he could just wait, I was determined to keep it... and I did... they said I would never be able to wear heels again, it was at that time my foot was a size 12 and my other foot was an 8.... But I beat the odds... I cannot and would never take Birth Control again, I cannot have children due to the risk of dying, have to live on blood thinners for the rest of my life... This was caused by the Nuvaring.... I had no blood issues, did not smoke nor drink, and I was very active.... PLEASE PLEASE dont use this device! READ everything you can! PLEASE, Blood clots dont care who you are or what you do.... It can happen to anyone! If you have had issues with this device, contact me at******. I would like to hear your story, and would hope you would join me in making women know what the outcome can be.... I am now 36, and I live everyday as tho it could be my last...WE are not promised anything, so the next time you use any form of Birth Control. please, be careful! I have never been married, and was told I cannot have children and of course I didnt have any before all of this happen... This device changed my future, dont let it change the people you love! SPEAK OUT, PLEASE!

I have been taking Lipitor 20 mg for 4 months. Six to eight weeks ago I developed exema, allergic conjunctivitis and burning/swelling of my lips. I saw a PA at my doctor's office today and we are stopping Lipitor for 10 days to see if it is the culprit. Has anyone else experienced these problems while taking Lipitor?

Took one dose shortly after purchasing from druggist. this was about 1 pm shortly afterword became dizzy and neauseated,vomited.Didnt know whether it was the antibiotic pill that I had taken during same time frame. After basketball
game that evening went home and took another dose this around 9 pm started to become dizzy and weak with extreme itching all over legs hands ect. put in sleepless night started to feel better at daybreak . cooked some breakfast and promptly vomited.Upside that it stopped my coughing and plegm build-up

I was perscribed Sulfameth for my acne, but for weeks I kept getting heartburn and didnt know why. Yesterday, my heartburn got so bad it didnt go away, in fact i am still in a lot of pain and my back hurts terribly. My face is also swollen, as are my lips and my eyes. It honestly has helped my acne, but it is not worth this much pain.

my wife started lisinopril about a month ago about two weeks ago she started to cough it is now chronic very uncomfortale there must be something better we didnt know what was going on thank you for this site there must be better meds with less side effects

i was prescribed this drug at three weeks pregnant by a doctor at my local hospital and it made me vomit more i were told that it would calm the vomiting down and make me feel better as i continued taking the drug i got ill so i stop the medication and notified my doctor i were sent for a scan and the medications had aborted my child and the baby i were carring is dead i started to miscarry the baby and i gave birth in july 2005 and i am now waiting to see a doctor for a aplology and waiting funeral arrangements and i cant understand why they didnt know this

My mom took yasmin for only 2 months and she has been having NIGHTMARES,HAS TO GO TO THE BATHROOM 2 OR MORE TIMES A NIGHT,HEART SKIPIN' BEETS, AND COUNTLESS MORE SIDEFFECTS!SHE HAS ALSO BEEN SUISIDAL.SHE DIDNT KNOW IT WAS YASMIN ONTILL MY SISTER CAME AND FOUND THE BOX AND TOLD HER THAT HER FRIEND TOOK YASMIN AND IT WAS AFUL! Im surprised YASMIN is still on the shelf! anyway,....DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

I was given Xanax for anxiety.For 4 years i was using them to deal with everyday life.It worked until they decided to take me off with out winging me first.I was having bad withdrawls,so i did the only thing I thought I could,I street bought.After 2 years of that one day I woke up and looked at my self and really didnt know who I was,it was time to stop.I was able with help to get clean from them with help from friends but the memories I lost can never be regained.I sometimes do miss the way they made me feel so secure about myself ,but I have to remember what they took also.If I had the choice again to take them and feel so secure agian with taking them Id turn it down.The pleasure they give you doesnt even come close to the pain when youve done them to long.Be careful they can control your life, they did mine!

I have always taken Prilosec but when I asked the dr for a new prescription , I was given the generic drug. I didnt take notice as I never have any side effect from any drug. Shortly after taking it, I started experiencing irregular heartbeats and pounding of my heart. I ended up in the emergency room but my ekg's , x'rays were fine. I ended up getting so anxious and nervous , the dr gave me valiem for my anxiety. I also experienced insomnia, hot flashes. Didnt know what was going on until three weeks later, I started reading on side effect of this drug and found out that a lot of people were experiencing the same symptoms I was. I immediately quit taking the drug and within a few days my symptoms started going away. I still get an occasion jerking on my stomach but its a lot better than it was when I was on the drug and didnt even know this was causing it.
