I started taking an Avelox prescription (10 day) last Saturday, October 23, 2007. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and had finished a Zithromax prescription for a tonsillitis 48 hours prior to that. I guess the previous infection had spred to my sinuses. On the third day, I started getting dizzy spells and was getting 2 second jolts of pain in my head once in a while like a sudden headache that would just dissapear. My ears would block and unblock cause of the sinus pressure so I thought it was normal for me to feel light headed or get suddden headaches from sinus pressure. On the fifth day, I had a very bad dry cough, and my chest felt like it was crushed. There again, I thought since I had the tonsillitis before, I was caughing alot so I might have a set back cause of the sinus infection and the weakened immune system. What started to worry me was this afternoon, my tongue started to feel raw like as if I burned it with a hot coffee, and when I looked in the mirror, had red spots. I decided to look up some info on the internet and discovered this site. I will go to the doctors and see what I have to so since I still have 3 days left to go. Thanks to the others for the info.

I've been on Seroquel for a month now. My dosage was progressively increased from 100mg to 400mg for severe chronic insomnia, a symptom of manic depression.
Within one month, I've gained 20 pounds and I look as if I'm six or seven months pregnant.
I am weaning myself off of it, because my doctor doesn't seem to care much about the weight gain, despite the fact that I eat less than 1000 calories a day.
A symptom of bipolar disorder is also depression, and the more I look at myself in the mirror, the more depressed I get.
I'd rather go without sleep than gain weight at the rate I've been gaining it. It's just not safe, and I can feel it taking its toll on me physically and psychologically.
It's just not worth it in my opinion. I'm giving Melatonin a try. Hopefully, that will work for me. It was suggested by one of my nurses.
It's not easy to go from a 4/5 to nearly a size 9 in a month. It really makes you feel terrible, especially when you exercise an hour and a half everyday and are on a low calorie diet.
Until I'm given something that can counteract the weight gain, I refuse to stay on Seroquel.
I admit I'm having some bouts of insomnia, but they're not nearly as bad as they were before I started the Seroquel. Perhaps that will change once the Seroquel is all out of my system.
I also notice I'm itching everywhere, from head to toe. I suppose that's a symptom of weaning yourself off of the drug.

I just started on Desogen about 2 weeks ago. I already lost 1 pill but I am keeping on taking it. I noticed that I am eating a more, or it seems like it because I am eating 3 times a day instead of 2. My pains feel increased in some places of my body, and I I feel like I am gaining weight. I am on the pill because I had problems with my period, but I am kind of thinking that it is not really a good idea to be on the pill. I will keep taking the pill though for awhile and see if there are any other changes. I already have high cholesterol so my diet has changed, so my whole body is kind of yelling at me right now. As far as sex drive it did not dissapear yet, but after reading this I have a feeling it will. Im wondering how long I will have to stay on this pill because I am not seeing the doctor anymore who put me on it.

I have been listless and have problems maintaining an erection, plus the cough and occasional itching at night and sleep disorders. (I put the last two together at first). I was talking Coversyl at first which had no obvious side effects but Dr changed prescription to Lisinopril and all this started. He has agreed that I can stop the medication (ten days now) but I still have some of the symptoms - any info on how long the effects of Lisinopril take to dissapear? - I would have thought that the drug would be totally out of my system now. My blood pressure did come down and stay down - has gone up a little but if I keep calm it stays within reasonable limits except in the early morning. (IP in UK)

it made me feel like i was in a box. I had no emotion at all. I did not care about repercussions of ill made desicions. I didnt eat for about 3 weeks at 100mg. my arms shook and i would sweat profusely. I would have a pain so severe in my chest, back and stomach that all i could do was lay on the floor and cry. My anxiety and panic attacks persisted even at 300mg. the shaking stopped and so did the pain but the box has apparently dissolved because of my excessive crying. Everything around me assualts me- apparently wellbutrin XL at 300mg quit doing its job. I slept for 12 hours at a time - sometimes 20, having no recolection of falling asleep or ever waking up. Short term memory is shot - memory in general is shot. My keys, and shoes, and books dissapear on a regular basis because i cant remember if they are on the table or in the bag even though i set them down not 2 minutes ago.

If you type the word Diuretic on the internet you will see all the unwanted side effects that you girls are having, including myself when I was on this. I am CONVINCED thats the problem with this drug FOR SOME of us. Try another pill because if you are having mood swings anxious feelings panic attacks then this is not the drug for you and your inner turmoil will dissapear as soon you are off it.

I live in the UK and suffer with severe hayfever. The last three years and twice about 13 years ago I have had 40mg of Kenalog, it is wonderful!.
From March I take antihistamins, nasal spray and eye drops and have even tried acupunture to try and releive my symptons but nothing works apart from Kenalog.
I have tried long and hard to find out long term side effects but there seems to be no formal study done of this drug. It is a risk, but I am fed up with spending 6 months of the year sneezing, eyes wateringm, asthma and feeling generally rubbish. Kenalog works for me it is like magic, within 2 days all my symptoms dissapear. Fortunatley I have never suffered from any side effects. Although my doctor is not over keen on me having it he understands I cannot do my job properly when I am suffering so badly with hayfever.
Desogen (1) Topamax (1) Seroquel (1) Yasmin (1) Lisinopril (1) Doxycycline Hyclate (1) Eltroxin (1) Levoxyl (1) Wellbutrin (1) Kenalog (1) Avelox (1)

I have been taking Eltroxin for over 8 years due to treatment for Hodgkins Disease (cancer of the Lymph nodes, glands) the side effects I have noticed are headaches, blurred vision, lack of energy, sore joints especially knees, weight fluctuations, stomach cramps, heart rhythm increase, numbness in my left shoulder & arm and sometimes my little finger on my left hand is completely numb, sleep irregularity, night sweats. I cant seem to find any specialist who will listen to me. I have stopped taking them from time to time and most of the symptoms disappear but my metabolism slows down so much that I have no alternative but to resume taking them.
