I have been on this pill for approximately 1 yr went off of it for four months to try my body without it. I went back on to regulate my cycle.. I have to say I like this pill. So many people are posting info. with taking the pill for a week. That's not enough time to give a good example of the pill plus everyone women is different. going back on the pill my only thing is my breasts have grown like a cups size which i really like but the tenderness is a pain. i too like some of the other women feel like my breasts are going to explode like I was nursing with full milk. other than that I tend to be a little drier during sex but nothing that some creams won't help. I have tried every pill and I really think this pill is a good one. Give it a chance..

Hello Everyone,
First I would like to address those who had terrible reactions to the drug. My heart goes out to you and please don't be offended when I tell you this: Life is a risk and when it comes to science there are never guaranties. With anything you will have a side effect good or bad. You will be a Guinea pig no matter who you are or what drug you take, because everyone reacts differently. Some good and Some Bad.
Second, to those of you who are looking into this for a cure, sorry unfortunately like cancer this is a reoccurring disease. The drug is to help calm your system down and to give your body a rest. I would have to say Lupron saved my life. After all the years of pain and suffering, and hospital visits that occurred due to the severe pain. After having surgery to remove these areas and the doctor who recommended this drug to me was a life saver. I was on it for a year and was put on the NuvaRing afterwards and had mood swings and hot flashes, BUT Ladies...No PERIODS and NO MORE PAIN!! Yeah I gained a little weight, but that was water weight, you can go to your local health food store to buy herbal diuretics and exercise...excercise. I agree Lupron isn't for everyone, but either is another drug out there. You take a chance with any chemical you put in your body. It is HOPE that encourages us to try these medications. I have to say 10 years later I had a beautiful little boy and yes they say even pregnancy gives you relief, but unfortunately for me I had a C-section. Causing me more scar tissue and a reoccurred of severe endometriosis. Due to funds and no insurance I have had to be put on a sister drug called Depo-Provera. It is similar side effects, but ladies take my advice. Lupron isn't for everyone, but I think if you are a good candidate for the drug, try it. It might make a difference in your life...I pray it is positive!!

I just found this site. I have had all the mentioned side affects too, but I have so many health problems besides the Diabetes I am on the Lisinopril for, that I never know if the symptoms are from a med or a health problem I have. My BP was never very high but my dr put me on this "to protect my kidneys" and said I HAVE to take a BP med to do that, or my kidneys would stop functioning. MY PROBLEM now is, I cannot get my Diabetes under control. I have been thru 2 drs and the last one just told me to get lost when I refused to go on insulin injections. At this time I do not have another dr yet. My Psoriasis has flared up again and my skin on my face is so dry I have red/scaly patches on my nose and down all around my mouth. My skin is getting drier and drier. It seems like I am drying up. I have been drinking lots of water and putting salves/lotions on my face and it is not helping. My daughter called me last night and told me to check out my BP medicine as she read that some can cause high blood sugar. My blood sugar keeps jumping all over the place. It drops to 165 then may go up to 225 the next day. Has any one else had problems with this medicine and Diabetes?
I am 63 yrs old and am in poor physical condition because of Lymes Disease and other health problems. So I do not know which of these symptoms are from this medicine or from other health problems I have. I did find out that the Diabetic medicine Metformin depletes you of B12, so I am now on spray B12 500/equal to shots. NOW I read that this medicine will deplete you of Potassium. Please let me know if you have Diabetes and this medicine makes it worse.

Been on it for only 2 wks and feel very BLOATED. Think i gained about 3 lbs. already. Prob water retention. I hate it!! I have more headaches and my vision seems blurry.. but could be due to my contacts being drier. I also have dry mouth. Feel like it's dehydrating me cause I'm prob retaining more water. Also have headaches, cramps and GAS!! Losing more hair than usual... feel pregnant with cravings for sweets.. but I'm not experiencing crazy mood swings... maybe not yet. Debating whether i should get off of it. No crazy discharge either.

My heart is about to beat out of my chest. My mouth is drier than the Mojave Desert and my throat feels like I just ate a bucket of jalapenos. I dont think I like this medication.

Hmmm...interesting that I found your posts. I too am on 100mg Topral for heart palps (PVCs) and high blood pressure. I'm hesitant to ask to come off of it because it has been keeping both under control. However, I have been having symptoms for a while now that I actually have been wondering is hypothyroidism but sure sounds a lot like what I see posted here. I sometimes get unexplained rashes (mostly on my calves); my skin is much drier than it used to be; my hair is dry and thinning; I'm VERY tired most of the time and have ENORMOUS trouble getting out of bed in the mornings. Another very big problem is that I'm gaining weight faster than I ever have. I think it's a good medicine -- but -- if these symptoms are related, I might consider something different.

I'm really glad I read the entries on this web site--after being on Yasmin for 3 months, I'm having a hard time weighing the positive and negative side effects. I notice I am VERY thirsty and listless since I started....And I have a pain in my chest almost all the time. I work out about 3 times a week and notice in the middle of cardio I get terrible pain like I've ran 5 miles when I've gone barely 2.
The positive effects have been lighter flow during my period and less moodiness during PMS. My breasts have grown a little bit as well(I need all the help I can get and surgery is nothing I would consider ;)
My skin is also drier since I started taking Yasmin... I know that ALL birth control pills have negative effects at least in some way. But I took Ortho Novum 1/35(old school pill) and never experienced the constant thirst or other effects I mentioned...

The only side effect I have experienced so far (I am on the second month) is chapped lips. I use Aquaphor and it helps a lot. The rest of my skin is no drier than before I started Accutane. I also had a mild headache for about the first week but that very well could have been my allergies. I haven't experienced any of the other symptoms listed and I actually feel better than ever mentally and physically.
