READING ALL THESE POSTS SAVED MY SANITY. I ALSO WAS COUGHING AND GAGGING AS MENTIONED FOR MONTHS. DR TREATED US FOR MONTHS WITH ALLERGY MEDS, ANTIBIOTICS AND ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HELP US DURING A HORRIBLE ALLERGY SEASON IN FLORIDA BECAUSE OF LACK OF RAIN. WHEN ALLERGY SEASON ENDED I WAS STILL COUGHING AND GAGGING, NAUSEA AND ANXIETY. I TOLD MY DR. THAT I HAD READ ALL THE POSTS AND HAD EXPERIENCED MOST THE SYMPTOMS AND SHE IMMEDIATELY TOOK ME OFF LISINOPRIL AND SWITCHED TO AMLODIPINE. THERE WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATE RELIEF. AFTER A WEEK OF USE NOW THE COUGH AND CONSTANT PHLEGM AND TICKLE IS NEARLY NON EXISTENT. I HAVE RETURNED TO A NORMAL LIFE! PLEASE, THIS DRUG EFFECTS 80% OF THE PEOPLE TAKING IT IN THE SAME WAY. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS AVAILABLE.

I cannot stand for even a couple of minutes without my feet tingling/burning for the rest of the day. Walking seems to help therefore I thought it was circulation but vein docs say it is not. Symptoms got seriously worse during ivf treatment (3rd ivf, 3rd baby), and now one year later I have a baby but symptoms are worse. I thought drug effects are short term but maybe they are not. I am suspecting lupron but i could not find much info on its long term effects and how to counter those effects, or it could be something else. Saw neurologist who wants to do nerve conduction study but that just sounds very painful and not necessarily helpful.

if you have any feedback, would love to hear. thanks

I have 2 sons with asthma that have both been taken singulair (the oldest for 3 years & his brother for 2). My younger son's asthma got alot better since he was diagnosed & he was recently taken off Singulair thanks also to my husband hearing a report about the moodiness caused. When he was on it he would cry for no reason, get very irrational & seemed to think the world was against him. In just 2 weeks he is happy & cheerful and has told me he thinks it is due to being off singulair. His older brother's asthma has gotten worse over the years & I'm concerned about taking him off but he too has crazy moods. Just tonight he started a new soccer team & got crazy & suddenly didn't even want to participate in something he loves (wanted me to let him quit right then) until we argued enough he reluctantly participated. He then came home complained of a headache (which is also way too frequent) and now has been asleep for hours. Are there any alternatives to this drug? I'm a stressed out mom that doesn't deal well with these mood swings. He is normally a social butterfly & a sweet kid but lately seems more withdrawn, more irritable (especially tonight) & complaining about leg cramps in addition to these frequent headaches. I can't deal with too many more of these evenings & wonder if all these things are possible side effects. I'm glad to see my other son doing well but miss his normally sweet brother! Even his siblings think he is acting crazy :(

I also would like to encourage everyone with Prednisone issues. I met the creator of this site from postings and replies on medications.com. At the time I was researching Prednisone concerning dosage levels and how this drug effects all major organs. She done a fantastic job with assisting in this matter. This all came about after my father passed away after being prescribed a MASSIVE dose of this horrible drug.. It is my belief that it does not take massive dosages of Prednisone to cause organ damage. So please if you are suffering from any of the mile long list of side effects, check out 'Sirvovors of Prednisone' before it is too late.

500 mg for 5 days UTI Burning pain in upper and lower extremities, tin tast in mouth, burning eyes, hair falling out, severe constipation, dry skin, muscle twitches, tremors, extreme anxiety...FDA does not respond to reports..I think the adverse drug effects are ignored because of profits.. they are not interested in the true # of individuals who are seriously hurt by this drug..pharmaceudical companies are too powerful...and Dr are thus not well informed so they prescribe dangerous drugs without even knowing how they can harm their patients...

Posting to fix typographical error, other changes made.

Flomax should not be used by anyone. It attacks the eyes. One would never want to hurt the eyes. One will not be able to have cataracts removed, either. I took a single pill, before I knew this, and yet some side effects keep increasing for one week now. I guess my liver is not very good. Without a healthy enough liver, this stuff might remain in blood forever. I don't know what is going to happen. I have no control. I stopped immediately, but the drug effects keep marching on, because drug is still active. Some side effects which are increasing even though I took only one pill: unusual and severe back pain, constipation, excessive sensitivity to light, blurrier vision, headache, transitory sharp pains in eyes. Other side effects which remain but are not increasing are insomnia, (at best now I have restless inferior pieces of sleep with somewhat changed dreams, not restful sleep, a completely different sleeping pattern and experience), also a few nasal things remain that are not getting worse. Over-all am morbidly affected by this change in health this last week, especially distressed I guess by changes in vision, at least some of which and maybe all are permanent, and in the sudden lack of hope for removing cataracts in the future. My sense of self is of course changed and the knowledge of my lack of sufficient thoroughness in checking this drug out, recklessness in using, doesn't help either, but the main thing is simply being less healthy.
