Hello everyone.. I am so sad..Would you like to know why? I believe it is because the mirena I got put in after my second child. I talked all things over with my doctor and he strongly suggested I go the "Mirena" way. Keep in mind I'm 22years old. Good Health, never had a serious illness or anything out of the ordinary ever happen with my health. Well 2 weeks after mirena was incerted into me I began feeling very tired, lack of motivation, irritable, and the best part of it all is I have extreme anxiety now. I never had ths in my whole life, until Mirena was implanted. So I immediately go to obgyn and ask why??? He said it had absolutely nothing to do with mirena, that mirena has no side effects like that . So he put me on an anti depressant. Well that did not help at all. Let me tell you about panic attacks in case you don't know what they are. They are episodes of extreme panic, dysphoria, nausea, chest pain, muscle stiffness, near fainting, you down right feel like you are going to DIE.... No Joke, There is nothing you can do. But take meds that damn near knock you out. Now, panic attacks will not kill you. They just feel like you are dieing. I going through this for two years now.!!!! From med to med, doc to doc . No Body seems to know why??? So I got the Mirena removed. They magically went away for two months.. I was thanking GOD, it was a miracle..Just two weeks ago I began having them again. So I go back to my doctor. She puts me on busprone and ativan...To stop the attacks. But the meds don't work and she wont listen. Im just so sad because, this has cost me my marriage, My husband left me, we have a two year old beautiful daughter named destiny. She has suffered all this, she doesn't understand why?Why mommy has panic attacks, or why mommy is crying, and having to rush to the doctors or hospitals. I just feel like Mirena has ruined my life. A life I can never get back. To anyone reading this who hasn't gotten the mirena yet....Stop right now and do something else.... My husband and I would still be together if it wasn't for this mirena.Though, I pray it never happens to another soal..It could happen to you too.

I had it inserted after my second child (she is now 3-1/2). It took 6 months to NOT feel it anymore. I have not had my period. However, at the time of the month, I get all the side effects. Is it b/c my body doesn't release the blood? Twice I have felt tht thing poking me to the point where I could hardly walk. I have a pooch which won't go away, headaches, dizziness, ab pain off and on to the point where I bend over to feel better. I am making an appt to take this dumb thing out. It is not worth it. My breasts get extremely tender too. And sometimes during sex, it pokes me and hurts. Its not worth it. All of you have confirmed it.

I had Mirena inserted in January, 8 weeks after I had my first baby. I haven't had as many symptoms as others, but who knows it could happen if I keep it in. My symptoms are just some fatigue and lack of sex drive. I was blaming the fatigue on having to get up early, but I go to sleep early so it doesn't make since. I get between 8-10 hours of sleep at night. My sex drive was normal after I had my son, but after I had this dumb thing put in, I have had no desire at all. I have tried intercourse with my husband and it is just way too uncomfortable. It upsets me so much. I will be calling my doctor today to make an appointment to have it removed. The sooner the better!!! I will be getting back on the pill. I had no problems with it.

A couple of days after switching from Wellbutrin XL (which was effective for me, with no side effects) to Budeprion XL, I began to experience feelings of panic, a choking-like tightness in my throat/neck area, and extreme tension throughout my shoulders and neck. (I have never had a panic attack before.) My doctor said that my symptoms sounded like anxiety. Neither of us made the connection to the recent switch from Wellbutrin to Budeprion. These Budeprion XL side effects began each day in the late afternoon and continued for at least two hours, sometimes longer. Nothing relieved them. I tried relaxation breathing, yoga, meditation, and even Ativan! After several days of this torture, in desperation for some relief from the panic/tightness/tension, I drank a glass of wine when the symptoms set in. The symptoms grew even more severe. It finally occurred to me that the Budeprion might be the source of this frightening problem, and I insisted on being switched back to the Wellbutrin. Ta-da. No more freaking afternoon attacks. A few months later, while experiencing some lower back pain, I took a Budeprion by accident (I found a single tablet in my desk drawer and I mistook it for a codeine-based pain tablet that has a similar appearance...I know--a dumb thing to do!) Hours later, the original side effects returned: extreme panic with neck/shoulder tightness and tension. I have not taken Budeprion since that day (about three months ago), and I have never again experienced those side effects (or any similar symptoms). The name brand Wellbutrin XL is working effectively for me, with no side effects. Because of these experiences, I am convinced that Budeprion XL's contents (or composition) are very different from those of Wellbutrin XL. They may or may not have the same chemical formula, but they certainly do not react the same way in my body.

I was on Yasmin and decided to switch to nuvaring because I kept forgetting the to take pill. I have experienced really bad headaches 1-4 times a week to the point where I can not sleep, or feel sick. No sex drive. No fluids for sex (No matter how much water I drink ) Waking up 2 - 3 times a night...being on edge all the time and easily annoyed. I went to the doctor to find out about my headaches and she told me to monitor them and see what I found in common. I could not think see anything until it finally hit me last night that it could be my birth control.. So I went in and asked about it today. The doctor told me that Nuvaring was comparable to Allesse which made me not happy because I had gotten really sick off of allese when I was taking it.. It's crazy to see all of the comparable symptoms that this dumb thing is causing women and now I am 100% convinced that this ring is the issue. I am switching back to Yasmin because it was working for me for about 2 years - minus the fact that I kept forgetting it, I guess I will have to try a little harder now. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good pill. Because it is low dose it does not have many side effects. The only thing it did to me was make my boobs grow and I can't complain about that.
