Took Estrostep (sp?) from May until early October. Constant bleed thru. I'm only on BC for acne. Started taking Yasmin and within 2 weeks was having trouble sleeping and loss of appetite. In a month I was depressed, anxious, and second guessing every decision. I'm taking no other medications and and before this I was a happy, productive, college student. Last Sunday morning I woke up and decided to look up "side effects" of Yasmin. After discussionwith my parents i decided to stop the Yasmin immediately. It's been a week now - how long before before these feelings of anxiety and panic abate? I have been to see my family doctor and he was supportive of my decision but advised that it might take up to a month for everything to be out of my system. Any one else have the symtoms and for how long after quiting?

I am one of the many women who have experienced extreme anxiety and panic attacks while on this pill. I also experienced some depression too, but the panic & anxiety were my most horrible symptoms. Thankfully, I dicovered this website in early October, and realized after only reading a few posts that my unexplainable mental health problems were caused by Yasmin.
I stopped taking Yasmin immediately, mid pack, and started feeling better almost immediately. However, since then, I have experienced days off and on when I have anxiety & panicked feelings (not attacks) out of the blue. This especially occured before my last period. Things that maybe made me a little nervous before, make me really nervous now (ever since I started Yasmin), especially things involving social situations. I guess I was naive when I got off Yasmin, thinking my symptoms would completely go away, and they have for the most part, but I want them gone for good. I was reading some old posts on this site from some women having anxiety/panic casued by Yasmin, saying it took 6-7 months for it to completely go away. This was really disheartning to me. I don't think I can wait that long, but I do not want to go on anti-depressants either, just to get rid of the mess Yasmin has caused in my life. If anyone reading this has been through what I'm going through, please e-mail me. I would like to know how long it took for you to feel completely relieved of all your anxiety symptoms. Thank you!

I am a slender, athletic woman who is now potentially scarred for life by this horrible drug. In July 2006 I was given kenalog injections bilaterally for bursitis by a rheumatologist. In early October I noticed the development of a large indentation on my right hip. During a consultation with another doctor regarding my ongoing hip pain, I was told that this dent was caused by kenalog and would likely never go away. I confronted the rheumatologist who administered the injections and she pretended to be unaware of this as a result of injections and ordered an mri claiming that my horribly disfigured hip could be caused by a pinched nerve (said with a straight face). Well, the MRI confirmed the kenalog caused my dent, and I read on Bristol Myers Squibb's kenalog information site that local fat atrophy is caused by improper administration of the injection. Rheumatologist claims a plastic surgeon can fix this. I am consulting an attorney because this screams negligence.
