I've been on Femcon for about 5 months now, my first birth control ever. The first month was total hell for me. During the second week of active pills I began bleeding. It was light at first, and I thought it was just spotting. It got really heavy though the next few days, like a normal period. I called the doctor that day to ask if I would still have my normal period at the end of the active pills. She said, yes. After I hung up, I cried... the pills made me REALLY emotional. And I didn't want to have essentially TWO periods in one month. It was terrible.
Since then the pills have been fine. No irregular bleeding or even spotting anymore. Although this month has been a similar circumstance to that so far. I think it may be because I'm pregnant. Hopefully not though. I'm currently bleeding again when my period isn't due for a week. We'll see. If it's the birth control acting up again, I'm getting a new one.

I went on geodon for the first and only night last night. I took 80mg at 11pm and went to sleep. Woke up at 2 and intervals after that with a hot sweat, tremors, RACING thoughts and extreme restlessness. Tried to get up and take a xanax and passed out on the floor. crawled back to best essentially and slept for a few more minutes before being awaken over and over again. Got up finally and almost passed out every time i tried to stand for more than 10-15 seconds. Finally layed down then went to ER ar 11am. Could sit up at that point in smallfragments. Left doctors office and could finally walk. At 11pm still feel symptoms. WILL NEVER TAKE THIS DRUG AGAIN.

I was on Lipitor last year for about three months . After reporting to my physician that I was experiencing left facial numbness, left neck pain, numerous joint pain, locking of my
middle fingers, severe muscle pain in both calf areas, The lipitor, was discontinued and I was started on Vytorin. Needless to say My condition got worse. I could barely lift my arms, I had extreme pain in my left hip and it was painful and difficult to walk. I stopped taking the Vytorin. I had a MRI of
My cerviaal neck, with no gross finding, My lab tests were essentially normal except cholesterol level. My condition has improved except the lingering muscle pain in both upper arms and left hip pain. I will never take statin medication again. I also, stopped my Diovan two days ago, I am
feeling so much better. Plan to go natural remedy from now on.

I began taking lisinopril in late February and unfortunately had developed mononucleosis at about the same time (just my luck). As some may know, adult mono can be more of a chronic situation that lasts several months as opposed to a short, severe illness when you get it as a teenager.
Anyway, I was completely attributing all of my symptoms to mono, but I think I may have been allergic to the linosipril and did not get alarmed since with mono you need to endure very severe symptoms and essentially grin and bear it. Has anyone else here had an allergic reaction to the drug but kept on taking it? Just curious. A few of my symptoms that were not entirely indicitve of mono included swollen neck, face and throat as well as a reddish discoloration of the face. Again, all of this happened shortly after starting lisinopril, but I just persevered since I thought it was mono. I wonder if maybe I got over the allergy since I am still on the drug although the symptoms have largely dissipated...

Just had my "Maxide" dosage increased from 12.5 to 25mg. I am concerned about potassium loss (<4.0). What is the other form of diuretic other than thiazide?
I understand it pulls the salt & water while targeting potassium chloride and leaving levels in the body essentially unchanged.

Hello everyone,
I've only been on lisinopril since March 18, 2004. It has been prescribed for me for high blood pressure. I'm also taking a diuretic--hydrochlorothiazide. I see that I'm having the same side effects as several of you. I am experiencing fatigue, foggy-headedness, and sleep disturbance. Most frightening, however, is anxiety/depression. I have suffered from both for quite sometime. This medication is making those symptoms worse, even to the point of suicidal thoughts. It's very scary. I have Oxford/First Health for insurance. Does anyone know of any alternatives to linosipril that my insurance would pay for? I'm afraid of the HBP, but I'm also afraid of these side effects. Essentially, for over the last two weeks I've felt like crap. Thanks for any insight/suggestions.

Jolessa jacked me up. I experienced nausea, bloating, headaches, irritability...essentially constant PMS for the entire time I had been taking it. I do not recommend this.
