Well let's see.... any time we have sex he feels the strings. I seriously keep thinking I'm pregnant bc of the fluttering in my stomach and fatigue. And I keep having random "spotting" and now I am starting to get cramps everyday all day and I have never been a cramper! I have depression too, over stuff that never bothered me before! My husband works 10 hrs every night from 4 pm to 230 am and he is the one that has to get up at 730 am to take care of our daughter! My wedding is in 2 months and I cannot afford to gain weight! My cousin has it and she is doing wonderful on it! Already lost a lot of weight and seems happy! Why can't that be us?!

And also to the people that are being cruel and what not...sometimes these symptoms are in your head but I don't think it is a coincidence that 3000 women all have pretty much the same "mental" symptoms.

I am not saying I won't recommend it bc it is really nice to not have to remember to take your pill or change your patch or whatever but just beware of possible side effects.

Hello all, I Don't no where to really begin. I just started taking ambien cr for the first time last Wednesday. I was given the 12.5 mgs. I used to be on Restoril 30mg, but ive mustve built a high tolerance quickly because it stopped working. So i went on Ambien Cr. THe night before i took a restoril before my doctors appointment, then on the next day when i was prescribed ambien cr i took it that night, just one pill. It took a while for it to kick in, id say like a couple of hours, but i did manage to fall asleep. Next night I took one again, this time it was taking it a bit longer for it to work, so i chanced it and took a second pill. 30 mins later I finally started feeling the effects of the medicine kickin in which were drowsiness, blurred and double vision, and dizziness. So i thought to myself Maybe i need to take 2 of the 12.5mg every night. SO the next night i tried to experiment, i took 2 pills at one time, and in 30-40 mins time.. i felt the effects kicking in and went to sleep and woke up good., the next night did that again and fell asleep like a baby. but the next night. those two pills two much longer to kick in, id say it took about 5 hours. Im thinking and thinking why would this suddenly happen. I cant grow a high tolerance that quickly! Then it hit me that i was on Restoril for about 3 1/2 months and maybe my body is going through some withdrawal effects. Today I did feel really anxious. I took 2 ambien at 10:30pm Saturday night and im still up and its 5:20am Sunday. LOL. What do you guys think is happening to me? Could it be just that my body is detoxing itself of the restoril and im feeling some withdrawal effects?

The first week of using NuvaRing I had so much nausea and breast pain that I thought i was pregnant. I use the NuvaRing for 3 weeks now, I have no sex drive anymore, I make nightmares every night, and I am anxious about every small things. And since 3 days I have vaginal irritation, very painful during the sexual relation.
I also gain weight even if i'm a very active person.
So I will take it out to see if i come back to normal. Hopefully I will!!!
(Sorry for my bad English, i found no french forum for the NuvaRing =\ )

I was put on Prednisonsone for Uveitis, inflammation of the eye. He started me on 20mg at 9 pills a day, then each week it was lowered to 6 pills then now i'm on 3 pills and then next week it will be 1 1/2 pill and i'll be off. I got the puffy face, my feet swelled, everytime i hate my stomach bloated and hurt, my face and neck turns red, i stayed hungry although i fought the temptation of eating for not wanting to gain a lot of weight, which I don't think I've gained any. But now I wake up in the middle of the night and severe knee pain, it feels like my knees they are in some kind of device that is crushing my bones they hurt so bad. i caught a bad cough and it's been around now for about 2 weeks and won't go away, i told the nurse about it and she says, i probably just got what everyone else has gotten, just a bad cough, well what's if it's some kind of infection? I look like a chipmunk, my face is so puffy. When i get off these prednisone in another week I WON'T BE going back on them, no matter what the case. I'm in more pain being on them and have more side effects while on them than the problem i was having with uveitis. I think some co workers thank I'm over reacting, but they're not here they don't see all the pain and frustration i'm going through while on this drug. The leg pain just started this weekend and i Know i can't deal with waking up everynight like this in severe pain. Everyone just makes me feel like i'm over reactin and it's nice to know that somebody out there is going through the same thing. Any comments will be great.

I was wondering if anyone had issues with the ring falling out??? I have been experiencing some of the other symptoms listed, such as extreme migraine about 8 hours after taking out the ring. I NEVER get bad headaches. I was at work when it hit, and my boss sent me home because everyone could see how much pain I was in! Crazy... anyway, I can deal with that once a month, but I'm worried that since it drops out a little bit every night, and every morning i have to push it back in, I'm worried that I could get pregnant because of that.. does anyone else experience this or know the answer to that??? Thanks!

I had a UTI and was given Cipro. I wake up shaking and having chest pain. My elbows hurt and my toes. I had diarrhea and stomach cramps as well as leg cramps. I am almost feeling like I have a panic disorder now, because I am so nervous about nothing. I wake up every night with either the palpitations in my heart. I thought I was having a mitral valve prolapse which I had almost twenty years ago. Now I have developed a spot in my eye like spider webs which now it has turned into a flash of light on the side of my right eye. I believe all this is from the Cipro. I was fine before it.

I was on the Nuvaring for 3 years. I had similar experiences to everyone else here. They came on so gradually I seriously thought it was something else. I had night sweats almost everynight some nights so bad I had to change clothing and bedding in the middle of the night. I thought I had cancer! And then the migraines came on a couple times per month, and headaches every evening some lasted until morning. . I never had a migraine before but I attributed it to stress. I also had chronic swollen glands in my head and neck that were sore. I kept asking my doctor she just did blood tests and said I was fine. All of these would cycle so you thought it wouldn't happen again and then it did. I loved the convenience of it so I stayed on it too long. I just got married so I went off it 2 weeks ago and I haven't felt so good in years!

My son is 4 1/2 and has been on singulair since he was 3. He was diagnosed with asthma at the age of 1. He too has occasional bouts of bedwetting, vivid imagination, dreams most everynight. (Not sure if they are nightmares) Has mood swings. Has digestive issues.
Has had 3 seizures, and medical tests cannot find any problems there. I believe it is caused by the Singulair as well. However, it has controlled his asthma quite well. He has only allergy trigerred attacks now, and very seldom. I will just have to seek God's guidance in what's best for him at this time, until he eventually, and prayerfully outgrows this. I ask God to guide you all in your search for answers. I will check back for updates.

God bless and be with you all.
Concerned Mom

I am not prescribed adderall and I don't even have ADHD or ADD. I am a 20 year old college student, and I heard on a Dateline show on TV about students abusing Adderall and other ADD medicine's while they are in college. I will take a 20 or 30mg Adderall and then it will keep me awake and alert so that I can stay up all night studying. It is a great way for me to be able to stay up and study, write papers, and then not have to sleep and be able to go to work and school the next day. The first time I took the Adderall was about a week ago, and I have taken it almost everynight since. I have probably slept 30 hours in the last 7 days. It is a stimulate and acts like speed if you don't have ADD, but it will calm children down who do have ADD. I just think that it is a great way for college students to concentrate on their school work and be able to stay up all night! Oh, the only down side that I've had for taking Adderall is that I will start to hallucinate and see bugs crawling on my arms or hands, but I'm not sure if this is a side effect of the Adderall or is just a side effect of having no sleep.

I take 7.5 mg. of warfarin daily, and have been for about 5 years. The biggest problem I have is dizziness, the inabilty to concentrate, vision, and waking up at night, everynight. I am a healthy 54 year old male, and have regular test run twice yearly.

I have been taking Levoxyl 50 mcg for 7 weeks now. I experience tingling down my left arm and hand one day, but it hasn't returned. I did notice I wasn't as tired around the 4th week. But then started having a hard time falling asleep and it became a pattern. I was up to 2 to 4am everynight. I have kids to get up for school at 6:45am. So this was not good! My Dr. prescribed Temazepam to help me go to sleep at night. It works, but leaves me feeling tired most of the next day. I would really like to find a natural solution.

Hello,

I have only been on Yasmin for 1 month, and already have some of the same side effects. Lately, I have started to have small panic attacks, I've never had them before. I started to freak out about volcanoes. I've always hated them, but since on Yasmin I panic about them a lot. My mom has noticed that I am sleeping a lot lately. I have no hunger, I am nauseated and vominting. My mom also told me that she believes my panic attacks about volcanoes are from Yasmin, as do I. My boyfriend is worried about me because I seem down a lot. I haven't had a sex drive either. I wake up everynight dying from thrist. I'm not only calling my doctor and getting off this stupid pill, but I'm never taking it again. I will not recommend this pill to anyone, actually I will try to discourage them from it.

Its been almost a year since I started taking Yasmin, at first it was ok and then about 4 months later I started developing these bizzare symptoms. I never thought that birthcontrol could provoke such side effects. I quit taking it a week ago and I already feel better. Being a newlywed we're not ready for children but, I'm apprehensive about getting on another birthcontrol because of my experience with Yasmin. These some of the side effects that I didn't know could be due to Yasmin:

Nightmares-almost everynight and disturbing
Incredible Fatigue-sleeping 7 hours is just not enough
Gas/Bloating-i felt like my chest was going to explode
Anxiety-my mind could never shut off
Unsociable-I used to go out every weekend, now I stay home
Depression
Loss of sex drive
Dizziness
Cramping
Decreased Hearing-i'm so tires of saying "what?"

I was really surprised to see so many women going through the same thing all because of Yasmin.

I have been on Yasmin for over a year and thought it was wonderful considering I have had a long battle of finding the right bc. Two weeks ago I woke up in a Panic Attack and couldn't explain it. Now I am dealing with severe depression and severe anxiety. I have been having a low grade fever and hot flashes everynight and everyday. It has been cold at night, but I have the fan on high b/c I get so hot during the night time. I thought I was going crazy and was going to have my Dr. run some tests on me. I came across this site and realized I am not the only one feeling this way. It's not me, it's the Yasmin that is making me feel this way. Thanks so much. I am going to stop taking it the pill today and notify my doctor.

My daughter has been taking Yasmin for 3 weeks. During that time life has been a nightmare. She has had me up almost everynight complaining of chest pains. We have been at the doctors and the hospital almost every other day. They finally put her on anxiety medication but it has been a battle. She has never had problems like this until she started this BC. It took me awhile to figure out that this BC could be the problem. I asked her to do some research for me and she came across this website. She has stopped taking Yasmin and has gone back to orthotrycylin which she had been on in the past. I hope this nightmare goes away soon.

I have been on Lisinopril for about 5-6 weeks now. I developed a cough immediately after I began the medication. It wakes me up everynight, so I am always tired. Sometimes I cough for a couple of hours. I've had to sleep on the couch for the last month, so I don't wake my husband. It's very annoying. I also have a "lump" sensation in my throat and it feels like someone is pressing their thumb against it, like being choked. My right side has just recently started hurting a little, but no leg or hip pain.

I don't take Ambien everynight, only on really days or not having slept in a couple of days. On nights that I medicate, I find that I do get a sort of "high", but I also become extremely emotional with those around me. My husband has told me that he and I had conversations that made absolutely no sense. The weird thing is that I don't remember even talking to him. On the up side though, once I fall asleep, I'm out. No more continuously getting up and pacing, etc.

About four years ago a dermatologist diagnosed me with being allergic to tomatoes. I broke out in a red heated rash all over my face. It was uncomfortable and it itched terribly. He prescribed 20mg in Lubriderm for my face. It worked like a charm. Over night my face was much smoother and i had never seen my face so clearly. I applied it everynight and it was great to finally eat what i loved KETCHUP. Well I ran out of it about two weeks ago and have been unable to get a script for it and i have been miserable. I have not eaten tomatoes in about two months and my face broke out severly and started to peel as though it were a sunburn. It itches and stings and i cant seem to get rid of it. I went to see another physician and he told me that my body had become dependent of KENALOG and that was the reaction for not having it. He also said it would be a few months before it finally cleared up. So KENALOG was my dream come true but has turned into my worst nightmare. I suggest not putting it on your face.
