I suffer form migraine headaches as well. The Doctor diagnosed me with a condition called "Cluster Headaches". Meaning they come in clusters. They come for a while a leave for a while. No cure, just try relieve the headache. In the past I took extra strength Goody's (w/Caffeine) or Excedrin Migraine, both with Coca~Cola. Both worked, the Goody's a little better but it is not available in California for some reason. It generally took about 45 or longer to start working, sometimes I was doubling up hoping it would be faster. After waking in the middle of the night for over a week with a throbbing head pain directly behind my eye socket I went to the doctor and was prescribed EPIDRIN 325-65-100 MG. The Doctor said to take it the moment I felt the headache starting. That night when it started I RAN to the bottle and took 2 with water. Within 15 minutes I actually felt the pain stopping. At first the throbbing would "skip a beat", then it would just stop as I laid still. Next thing I knew I was sleep. I have not experienced any side effects and I am on day 3. So I will say Epidrin works, don't be afraid to take it when the pain starts, there is no need to take them beforehand, "In the event" you think you will get the headache.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with a UTI and was prescribed Sulfamethoxazole (1 pill twice a day for 10 days). After a few days, my UTI was cured, but I continued to use the medication as I was instructed by my doctor and pharmacist. I had no side effects or allergic reaction for the entire period. However, on day 11 I noticed a small splotchy red rash on the right side of my body near my armpit. The next day the rash had spread to my legs, stomach and other side of my body. It was not raised and did not itch, so it didn't worry me. My boyfriends suggested that it might be a reaction to the medication, but the rash did not appear until at least 24 hours after taking my last pill. Five days ago, I became worried that I had contracted another UTI, so yesterday I visited the doctor again (a different one). She asked if I was allergic to any medications and I told her that I wasn't aware if I was. I did not think about the rash from a few months ago because I did not believe it was related to sulfamethoxazole. So she wrote me another prescription for the medication, but this time I was instructed to take 1 pill twice a day for 3 days. I took one pill around 4 PM yesterday and within 30 mins my entire body began to tingle and itch slightly. 2.5 hours later my face was bright red and severely hot and puffy. My eyes were as red and puffy as my face. Around 9 PM I began to chill and shake severely and I took Excedrin for a mild, dull headache. I took a warm shower, but I felt extremely fatigued and became nauseated simply from standing. So I got out with intentions of vomiting, but when I sat down in my bathroom floor I no longer felt nauseated. But my shaking became even more severe. I was cold, but also I was nervous and anxious because I felt mentally unstable. I have never battled depression, but I felt a slight bit of depression last night. I was very irritable and short tempered, which is very unlike me. My skin became so sensitive that I could not even stand feeling my boyfriend's breath on my shoulder. My body began to ache, specifically my ankle and knee joints, and it hurt to walk. I woke up around 2:30 AM with a fever of 100.4, so I took two Tylenol and the fever broke quickly, but I did not feel much better. This morning I feel a little better with no fever, but I still have slight chills and my whole body is red and itchy. Yesterday evening was a nightmare.

I'm so glad to find this website. I'm 21 years old and I've been on a dozen different BC's over the past 5 years because of my irregular cycles and PCOS. I switched to Yaz a little over a year ago because the military didn't carry my previous BC (lo-estrin24 which I liked). A few months into it, I started having these weird side effects, but just blew them off because they seemed small and I didn't want my new husband to think he just married a hypochondriac! Plus I see those lawsuit commercials about Yaz every day and I didn't want to be the type of person that freaks out when they see something like that.
The first thing I noticed was nausea on a daily basis. It's not bad enough to where I actually vomit, but enough to where I notice it and it affects my day to day routine. My cycles while being on it have been "normal", as normal as they will get for me.
However, over the past few weeks I have been getting the worst headaches/migraines, bad enough to where you can't function on a day to day basis. I thought they were because we just moved up to Alaska and the weather change was getting to me. (We've been here for almost 2 months) It's been over 3 weeks now and I still get them on a daily basis. The doctor told me they are from stress, but I've been stressed my entire life and have NEVER had a problem with headaches. I've had to resort to taking Excedrin every day (which I KNOW is NOT good for me but I can't function without it). Like others have said, I experience the vaginal dryness, lack of desire, but just assumed it was my body/lifestyle changing and that it was nothing to worry about. I also feel like I'm getting..for lack of a better word..dumber..and I can't remember anything that I did the day before, much less a week or month before. I honestly don't know if I'm any more moody than I was a year ago without asking my husband, and I don't think I actually want to know lol. My mother (who is in the medical field) swears to me that it's the BC causing all of this.
Thank you so much everyone for your postings, I will be scheduling yet another doctor's appt next week and will make sure I'm switched to another BC this time.

I'm a 27 year old female who has been taking 5mg of Lisinopril for about 6 weeks now. I used to suffer from really bad headaches/migraines and ever since I started this medication I haven't had one at all. This is amazing since I used to go through a bottle of Excedrin a month. Lately I've noticed lots of joint pain and pain in my knees.
It's terrible, I feel like an old lady and I'm only 27. I'm glad I found this site, I'm going to try to switch to a different medication ASAP. I've also noticed I've been spotting and having an abnormal period.. not sure if that's related to the medication though.

For the past few days I have been getting extremely bad headaches, to the point that it makes me cry! So I took 2 excedrin migraines and a few hrs. later I began to get extremely nauseous, shacky, disorientated, and my heart started to beat really fast. Before I knew it I was slouched over the toilet vomiting! I then recalled the same thing happening to me a few months ago when i took excedrin migraines for a very intense migraine i had. I am never going to take those pills again. I dont want to push my luck andend up worse then I already have!

I have been on NuvaRing for about 3 years now and never really noticed any side effects. Normally, I have bad cramping and a heavy period, but NuvaRing relieved me of that. But for the past couple months, right before and during my period, I will get the most intense 3-4 day migraine/headaches. I have to constantly take Excedrin or something, the pain doesn't stop. So now that a couple months have gone by, I spoke with a girlfriend of mine she said that her old b/c used to give her headaches. I googled Nuvaring and headaches, and here I am at this site. I am so happy I found this site because I have had NO sex drive at all and I really thought there was something wrong with me. I am young, happy, in a beautiful relationship and my fiance thinks Im not attracted to him anymore. It makes perfect sense though, this has happened ever since the NuvaRing, i really just have no want or need to have sex at all-like its a task or something. Its horrible. And I saw several mention the discharge and the yeast infections and the UTI's. Wow. I have unlimited prescriptions that my gyn had to write me because I get UTIs. I keep asking my gyn what causes them and he tells me sex and not urinating after sex and blah, blah. I''ve heard every single reason and believe me, I avoid all of them and still get them. I am the most careful person ever because my UTIs are horrible. I wont have one, then BAM, it burns to urinate, i urinate blood, i go to the bathroom every 5 seconds, horrible cramps, paint in my back. Horrible.
Seriously though, I am in shock that it took so long for the headaches to start and for me to look into this medication more. I was 118 pounds when I started this pill (around 17 or 18 years old)...at 21 years old...I am 150 pounds. All of which, I definitely wouldn't blame on the ring, but never in my life have I gained so much weight for no reason. I was even working out at the gym and couldn't loose a pound. I feel like giving up, because by the time I get out of work all I want to do is sleep. I have zero energy, I am always tired and never want to do anything. And it seems like so many other people on this site have had these issues to. I hope my story helps someone else in their decision to stop NuvaRing. Thankfully, I just took out my last one on Sunday and didn't spend the $150 for a 3 ring refill. Crazy prices, especially when you pay good money for insurance.

I had Mirena inserted into my cervix in March 2009. Almost one month later, I started having lower back pains and also pain in the left side of my pelvic. After going through 3 weeks of physiotherapy, the pain has reduced but it is not yet gone. Also, I've gained almost 10lbs during the past two months even though there is no change in my diet. Are these side-effects of Mirena?

I was on 5/10 lotrel, a mild dose over 3 months. I took myself off of the drug and learned to relax more, and have a better diet and exercise more. I felt weird where I could not focus on my priorities, and the way the medication made me feel made me think of it more than I wanted to rather than life. I am normally a no headache person. While on the medication, i had horrible headaches where I had to take Excedrin migraine to get over it. My skin after taking it for awhile became dry and itchy. I had dark circles under my eyes, which was new. My knees and feet and hands became ice cold. I think it is because I believe that my blood pressure the way it was, was what my body needed, and maybe there was not enough circulation with the very low 117/60. My normal and feel good blood pressure is about 140/85. I am happy with that and will keep it. Also wild at normal 140/85 my blood sugar is normal. when I took the medication and it dropped to 117/60, my blood glucose rose. My body was releasing glucose because it was saying, hey something is not okay here. I think the drugs are bad, and now I eat organic vegetables, no coffee, no sugar, protein meats, and soy milk, unsweetened almond milk, walnuts, blueberries, whole grains. No white bread, no sugar, no soda, no fried food, no white potatoes, no white rice. My range is now 120/70 to 140/85 when i am rushing around. That is normal. I think medications change your body chemistry. When my skin became itchy and my extremities cold, and my body started shaking and freezing and sweating, it was from the pills. if you want to know you readings, don't go to the doctor. Buy a self test BP machine, Glucose reader, cholesterol meter. My doctors cholesterol count was 100 over another text i had at a free clinic. Maybe they cheat the numbers, who knows, to make you think you are sick and bring you back. take care of yourself, and get away from the fear and panic the doctors put you in. you are way better to see a natural nutritionist if you need help. Break a sweat every day!...that will help.

I have taken 4 Femcon pills. I only eat homemade salads. I ate one at 6pm. At 4am the next morning, I began vomiting for 4 hours straight. Toast, crackers, pepto - nothing helped. Yesterday, I couldn't even eat anything. Today, I couldn't even push down 3 bites of salad. After FOUR days only, I cannot fit into the jeans I have been wearing since 9th grade. I am 22 and my hips are the size of kansas. My husband has noticed larger breasts, but I can't tell. I am very very moody, my headaches have been terrible! I take 2 Excedrin migraine every 4 hours but no relief. It's Christmas time so doctors are closed, but I will not take anymore. Fortunately I got samples. Who hs left femcon for something else and found a better product? There was no discussion between doctor and I about what pill would be best. I just told her I can't swallow pills and she gave me this. I just got married and this is my first BC pill. I do not like condoms. Someone please recommend something good!!

my BF has been taking antidepressants for 15 yrs- mostly a combo of lamictal and parnate. he is always depressed, has no energy, can't lose weight, suffers from chronic migraines (for which he downs handfuls of Tylenol and Excedrin) and constant muscle pain. i'm afraid to drive with him because of the road rage. his thinking is foggy, he is overwhelmed by every little thing and he constantly loses his keys, his phone- you name it. when he saw the commercials for AADD, he started to think he had that too and needed even more medicine!
i've had about all i can stand and in doing research, i found that niacin is useful for people with depression. it has to be the flushing kind and you need to take enough without flushing. some very depressed people have taken 12,000 mg a day and still not flushed!
so i started him on niacin and as we built up his dose, he cut down on the antidepressants. he got to 2000 mg of niacin a day and it took him 2 months to wean off the antiDs. he had minor brain shivers, but not nearly as bad or as many as when he has tried to get off the meds in the past
he has now been completely off the antiDs for 2 months and is taking between 300 - 500 mg of niacin daily.
here's what has happened: in 2 months, he has only had one headache and his muscle aches have gone; consequently he has only taken one Tylenol in the last two months as opposed to 10 a day like he used to. he has more energy- this Sunday when he got out of bed, he got active doing things instead of slumping on the couch for hours. i also almost fainted when i drove with him and he didn't scream when a pedestrian cut out in front of him. he is much more able to focus, he is not getting overwhelmed by everything.
and for the past 3 weeks at weight watchers, his weight has gone down a little
he is very happy about it.

I have had my Mirena for 23 months - placed 6 weeks postpartum. Like most, I too experienced the usual breakthrough and almost consistent bleeding/spotting for the first 6 months with cramping, headaches, and weight gain. What I have also experienced is an overwhelming sense of exhaustion that has not improved but gradually worsened.
Around 4 months PP I realized that something was off in my body. I did not have any energy, didn’t feel like myself, super emotional and no matter what I would try I could not gain motivation to accomplish the task of maintaining my house. I was struggling with a feeling of fogginess and cloudy thinking. I've experienced hair loss, increase in breakouts, dry and splotching skin.
During the first year I would have 1-2 good days in a week where I felt energized and I would be fooled into thinking that I was on my way back to the old me. I could accomplish things, rationalize clearly and deal with life. The rest of the week though would slowly slip back into a drained, over emotional foggy state. At 15 months into having my IUD in place, my days of productivity were dwindling further and further apart.
I have been blessed to have a husband that truly loves me. However, even still he has had a hard time comprehending what I have been dealing with and it has taken a toll on us. He will often say you are just not a happy person no matter what. I know that I am not unhappy with my life in general, my husband or kid and yet he is right. This thing robs you of your happiness and sense of self.
For the past 2 years I have said over and over again that I know something is wrong. I simply don’t feel right. I have been very aware of the changes within myself. I have struggled to be an active parent to my child and I have struggled with the most basic tasks. Things that use to take me 1-2 hours could stretch into days now. I was once this extremely productive individual that now barely is able to get the simplest of things done. I literally put all my effort into trying to accomplish things yet it barely makes a dent.
Until I started doing some reading, and I have found there thousands of women going through the same stuff I am, I really felt like I was going crazy. These symptoms are so subtle and similar that they most often get passed off as PPD, or dealing with the pains of motherhood and stress of life. Up until 2 weeks ago I couldn’t even verbalize the fact that no matter how much I slept, took vitamins, or exercised that I still felt tired all the time and was experiencing an inability to be productive.

It's so funny...I completely thought I was crazy. I have an almost 5 month old and I kept thinking my hormones were just screwed up. She is my third child and it is horrible trying to take care of them with these severe side effects. I have had horrible constant headaches..as soon as I take something- Excedrin, Advil, Tylenol- it comes back within an hour. The pain is constant. I have had terrible back pain, depression, weight gain- I have been trying to lose the baby weight and I am only putting on more- abdominal pain, absolutely no patience with my children, frequent aches and pains, massive hot flashes (and I'm only 29), and running to pee all of the time (and I feel like I'm finished but I get up and I'm not!). And don't even get me started on what it did to my period. With the exception of about a week and a half I have had it constantly since it was inserted 3 1/2 months ago. And it goes from non-existent so I think it's over to full on with-sorry to be gross- terrible cramps and clots. I NEVER had a problem with cramping before. I don't even feel like the same person I was before I was on it. I have had no "baby blues" with any of my three children so I know that isn't the reason I feel so off- I can't keep my emotions straight. After I had the baby, I felt really good besides my abdomen being tender and my incision pain from the c section. I can't believe the drastic turn of events since I got this thing put in. Thank you everyone for your experiences- I don't feel like a lunatic anymore. I felt so guilty for my children, husband, family because I feel so bad- sad and sore- and I felt like all I did was complain for no reason.

I've been on Abilify for over a year...first 10mg. I'd take it in the am, get the kids to school, then sleep....but not sound....like a stoned sleep...in and out while I watched tv on the couch...I guess like in the 70's....doing acid or something lol. I couldn't function all day til it wore off in the afternoon when it was time to pick them up. Then down to 5mg. Oh, I'm taking it for migraines, but I'm borderline bipolar II. I don't get manic. I just get depressed. So this ability has taken away all I like to do. No more crocheting for cancer patients or for baby gifts, no more craft shows, no more aerobics......no energy......period. I don't laugh. I've lost all my personality. All for what? To get rid of migraines? Oh, it made me gain weight, too. And it worsened my acne. I'M 43! I take Topamax, too, so btwn what I learned about the side effects from that and this....I'm done! My snap at the kids attitude and the hair falling out and the acne and weight gain are too much for me.....better find some new meds for depression and migraines.......anticonvulsants are out for me. I hope you all have better luck than I did with Abilify.

I thought I was going out of my mind! I had been on NuvaRing for almost 1 year, then quit (b/c of insurance reasons), then went back on it in April. While off it for over 6 months, I noticed my sex drive increased and I lost some weight without even trying. I went back on it because I have severe cramps in the middle of the month, and NuvaRing really helped.
I had no problems (that I can recall) the first year except for slight weight gain, 8-10 pounds. But these last 3 months have been awful! I am short with my husband and kids, and I worry about things non-stop. I am SO tired, but I get in bed and cannot sleep. I lay awake worrying about things like car accidents. I am not normally a worrier. I also have felt very down and cry often. I was starting to think I had an anxiety disorder.
I have no reason to feel depressed, and have not struggled with depression in the past (I am a mental health professional, so work with mental illnesses on a daily basis; enough to know there was something not right with me!). I have also put on 10 pounds in the last 3 months. Partly due to low energy. My hands even get tired when I color with my 3 year old.
I have taken 1-2 Excedrin Migraine a day to ease (not cure) my headache that has lasted for over 30 days.
Just this weekend, it occurred to me maybe it was the NuvaRing. After reading all these posts, I took it out a week early. I would rather live with some cramps instead of all of these side effects!

I can't tell you how happy I was to find this web site. I had my Mirena inserted almost 2 years ago now. Was looking forward to having NO periods but that never happened...they're lighter but last longer. Some months I'll have spotting for a week or two prior to my period...feel like I should buy stock in Kotex! Several months after having my Mirena inserted I complained to my GYN of pain in my lower right side. He said it was probably scar tissue from my two c-sections. A few months after that I started seeing a chiropractor for back pain that just wouldn't go away...and STILL hasn't almost 2 years later. I am VERY moody before my period comes to the point of screaming and yelling at my husband and children and I can't stand that...not like me at all. Back in November I had pain all around my middle and could hardly walk without being slumped over. Went to the local walk-in, ended up in the hospital with a ruptured ovarian cyst. Haven't been the same ever since then. My face breaks out...mostly on the left side, I get horrible headaches nearly every day and feel like I LIVE on Excedrin...THAT can't be good for my body. I've gained about 20 pounds since I got the IUD inserted, I have a hard time going to sleep at night, have no energy whatsoever...it's just been horrible. After reading all of these posts I feel like I've finally found the answers to all the things that have been troubling me...it's the Mirena and it needs to come out!

This note is regarding some measures for healing and pain relief. I have been in pain due to taking Levaquin three months ago. My pain is widespread. I have peripheral neuropathy. My whole body is tender and sensitive. All of my joints ache. It's hard to walk or sit for long. My pain is still disabling but it has improved. I thought that I would share with whoever may be interested what has helped my pain the most. I see a chiropractor every week and I also see a Chinese doctor every week. The Chinese doctor does therapeutic massage (deep tissue) and he also does acupuncture weekly. The acupuncture doesn't hurt as much as you might think. Other things that I've found that are helpful are warm Epsom salt baths and any topical cream that warms the area such as zostrix. Creams for muscle soreness may work also. I try not to take pain medication because it can just lead to other problems . If I have to take something I take either excedrin or Tylenol. NOT ibuprofen. Also, the body can't heal as quickly if it is being bombarded with offending agents. Therefore I have eliminated the following: Sodas (regular and diet), nutrisweet, msg (read the label), bleached flour, caffeine and many other things. I try to avoid sugar and I use stevia as much as possible. I have done a lot of research regarding nutrition since this happened to me. What I have come to realize is that good foods are like medicine. I have to supply my body with the proper nutrients and it will heal itself. Lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts, lean meat (I don't eat red meat). I avoid fast food and processed foods. The rule of thumb is that if nature made it it's good for you. If man made it...read the label very carefully. I hope that this info will be helpful to some of you. My prayers are with you all.

I received the vaccination Tuesday at 9:30 am, and i was nausea with a headache all day yesterday. Now it is 7:30pm on Wednesday and I still feel nausea, still have a headache and on top of that I am fatigued. I have taken 2 excedrin, and 6 motrin since the headache's began. My body is always extremely receptive to headache medicine, but not this time. I asked the nurse if that was a common side effect, and her response was "No, it's mind over matter." I laughed and then she said "Did you eat breakfast?" I said "I had a granola bar." Her response was, "Aw good you'll be fine; I haven't had the shot since my age exceeds the recommended age range, but you'll be just fine." I am really nervous :( :( They say what the vaccination protects you from surpasses any of the side effects by far, but I don't know my whole body feels out of balance after just one dose...I appointments for 2 more...

My Mirena Removal....
So i posted here a few weeks ago after I found this site. I had EVERY side effect listed and was so freaked out that i immediately made an appointment for removal.
For those of you reading and wondering what the removal is like..
Well, NOTHING like the insertion. I was so so nervous and it was over before we actually started. The DR was surprised that i was back in his office to have this removed. He then proceeded to do an ultrasound to be sure it was placed properly before removal. And yes, all was OK on the position of it. I explained to him my reasons and he looked at me like he had never heard this before. I honestly can not imagine with all the women he sees that NONE of them have complained. But...as I was getting dressed afterwards, I took a good look in his office. There was Mirena literature ALL over the place. In fact, that was the ONLY thing he was advertising. Not to mention...they made me pay up front with the insertion back in Nivember...billed my insurance and I still have yet to receive my reimbursement. Oh yeah, and that...they charge more than the actual Mirena costs, then they bill your insurance for the price they know they will pay and the DR then makes about $150 profit. Nice.
Ok, back to my side effects post Mirena. The removal was not painful at all. I did spot for about a week- nothing too heavy but it was clotty and def there.
A couple of days after the removal it felt like I was coming out of my skin something terrible. I figured this was my body adjusting to the lack of hormones. I also had some headaches.
It has now been 2 weeks and the spotting has disappeared. I also can see the bloating of my stomach is starting to go away. It looked like I was about 4 mos preggo while I was on it. I also have an increased sex drive. And sleep-- well let me tell you, I have not slept this good in a very long time. I am actually sleeping more than 6 hours now and the night sweats have also discontinued.
I can't believe EVERY time I come to this site and look up Mirena ALL the people that have posted their experience as being negative. Yet, the DR looks at me like I am crazy! I have been seeing him for years and I have never complained about something like this. I really am so happy that I have it out and wish I would have done my research on this prior to insertion (which was one of the most painful things ever!)
So..for those of you out there that are either contemplating having it inserted...I say NO WAY. And for those of you out there that are nervous about the removal or not sure..I SAY YES, DO IT! For our bodies to be reacting this way, it is clear to me that it should not be inside of us. Listen to your bodies...they really do speak to you and let you know when something is not right. Forget about the DR saying it is safe or he has not heard of any of these side effects...YOU be the judge.
Good luck! And I promise it gets better once you get that lil' demon out!

I am well acquainted with migraines, I went from bayer Aspirin to Tylenol to Motrin and finally to Excedrin and have been using Excedrin and occasionally Excedrin migraine. I have learned by the suggestion of a doctor who also is acquainted with migraines, to take the minimal amount of pain reliever at the onset of a headache. It is easier to stop a migraine when pain is at the early stages. Excedrin is the only thing I take at the onset. The migraines that I get start out as headaches and progress to migraines. Very rarely do I get a migraine which is suddenly induced.

HI I am 61 and took one puff of Advair and the joint pains that night were bad. I took it for three days. Three weeks later it is still very bad. about a 8 or 9 on the pain scale. I am weak in the joints and stiff. I would like to know if anyone had it like this and if it went away and how long did it last. Excedrin works the best, have a prescription for the night time but it does nothing so am using aspirin also.I called the company and they contact the fda also. The mornings are the worse because nothing lasts at night and I don't know why. I can hardly walk and get ready for the day and around 7 at night I get so cold and shaky. Has anyone had it this bad and does it stop. I don't know if the doctors even believe me. I do have a appoint for a arthritis doctor, but not until feb and the blood test I have had so far say there is nothing wrong.

I no longer take Imitrex as it makes my migraines 100x worse, more frequent; but I was reading following side affects everyone has.... Ive dealt with the queasiness, feeling lethargic and such....
But some of the ones not listed that I had was extreme abdominal and stomach cramping where I was in fetal position (i kid you not), my back felt as if i had a warm heating pad to it (kind of a benefit on cold days!) and from the calves down, I felt as if I were walking around with 25 pound weights on both legs; I felt very weak and could barely move.
Anybody ever experience any of this!? :(

My gyn put me on Loestrin because it's low dose and wouldn't affect my hypertension as much as other pills. well...it gave me horrendous headaches around the second week I was on it. They were sooo bad that I would sit in my office at work with the lights off and an ice pack on my head. and OTC drugs like Tylenol and Excedrin wouldn't help them. Also I started having really heavy break through bleeding that lasted from the time I started the pill until about three weeks later. I mean heavy to the point that I would stand up and it would GUSH. Soaking through a super tampon, super pad, and onto my pants. On a few days I had to change my pants at work. I stopped taking it and when I went to the doctor, they said I was severely anemic from all the bleeding to the point that I almost needed a blood transfusion. I'm not messing with this pill anymore.

I only took Excedrin occasionally, when I got really severe migraines because it was the only thing that worked. However, one evening before going out to dinner, both my roommate and I took 2 each, and wound up severely nauseous, dizzy, shaky, with upset stomachs. It was so bad, I thought we were going to have to go to the Emergency Room, but it finally wore off. I didn't take Excedrin for over a year after that because it scared me so badly. Finally, last Christmas, I was out to dinner with family, and I took 2 pills out of desperation for my migraine, and the same thing happened again. I almost passed out in the middle of the restaurant, and had to go lie down in the car. I'll never take Excedrin again.

The CDC/FDA has announced that Tylenol Kills LIVERS ( Acetaminophen is it’s fancy name). Tylenol is one of the safest medicines ever created IF taken as directed on the package for TEMPORARY uses. It’s safer than aspirin. BUT, BUT, BUT, it is used in many medicines. If ANY medicines you are using have the strength written as XX / XXX Example: 50/500 or 25/1000 stop taking them.
Check the Food and drug administration or the Center for Disease Control web sites. Then ask your doctor to change you to a drug that doesn’t have any Tylenol in it. The second number, the one after the slash, is the amount of Tylenol added to each pill.
Many drug manufactures use Tylenol with their medications as a buffer. It is safe to the stomach so combined with their medication it also becomes easier on the stomach.
A very bad scenario.. say you are prescribed 50/1000 of a anti-inflammatory drug, three times a day. Take an adult dose of Nyquil every 12 hours-- that's 2000mg more Tylenol from the Nyquil. Then take a couple extra strength Tylenol for some pain. That could be another 1000Mg up to 4 times a day.
OTHER THINGS with Acetaminophen (Tylenol).Excedrin, Midol, Pamprin, Vicodin, Percocet, and many more.
Also, Liquor and Alcohol hurt your liver.
Don’t kill yourself be careful with this stuff.
