burning in stomach, heartburn. I have been on Lisinopril, 10 mg. for 5 days. About two hours after taking my first dose I experienced a burning stomach and heartburn. I am also taking Tenoromin, 100 mg. and HCTZ, 25 mg. I take the Lisinopril with food and about 2 hours later the symptoms begin. They come and go. A few hours before I am to take the Lisinopril (I take it once a day), the symptoms are not as bad. Has anyone else had this side effect?
Has anyone else had this experience? I am wondering if Atacand might be a better choice.

In 2006 at the age of 38 after 4 years on Yasmin I had a mini-stroke. I am writing a non-fiction memoir about my experience and am very interested in hearing from anyone who has had a bad experience with Yasmin (or indeed, any other hormonal contraceptive.) I invite you to have your story included in my book. I am particularly interested in incidences of blood clot and of course, stroke, plus any withdrawal symptoms experienced from the drug. Please email me at ****** including your full name, age, location, a brief gynecological history, and the main facts of your experience. Thanks!!

Has anyone here ever heard of anemia being associated with Toprol? Since they increased the dosage of my husband's Toprol, he has developed anemia and they cannot find a cause but every time I ask about the possibility that it could be the meds causing it (he is on coumadin, too), no one will firmly say no - always a "could be" - so just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. Thanks!

Took mostly for seizures, but have been informally diagnosed with Bipolar II.
Had tremors at night, almost immediately, marked anxiety, weight loss, strange heat flashes, severe headaches (already have a migraine problem), complete w olfactory hallucinations (could have been breakthrough simple seizures, or headache auras).
Felt detached from myself and others. But the most disturbing symptom of all was auditory hallucinations. I have no history of psychosis and this only happened after starting Lamictal. Basically I could hear a constant chirping sound, subtle, but loud enough at night to keep me from sleeping unless my radio was playing to distract me from the sound. Could it have been a new form of seizure? Maybe, but regardless, the sounds started at the time I started this drug. Plus, according to a psychiatrist, I had no signs of psychosis, just the unexplained phantom sounds. One last possibility: Maybe an inner ear problem. Still would like to look into that.
People are right when they say this is still an experimental drug. If I had known what I was getting myself into, I never would have tried this drug to begin with. If any of you have had auditory hallucinations on this drug, without a history of any sort of hallucination or psychosis, PLEASE respond here and let me know about your experience. Thanks!

My significant other took Doxycylene, 100 mg, twice a day for two weeks to treat a swollen lymph node under his arm. During the treatment he experienced nausea, stomach pain, rash and cold sweats, nothing too bad. 3 days after the last dose everything got significantly worse. It started with sever chest pain, so bad we went to the emergency room thinking it was a heart attack or blood clot. They found nothing and discharged him. Over the next 3 weeks he started vomitting, diahrea and developed jaundice. Constant queeziness and chest pain. After numerous tests, ultra sounds, MRCP, the doctor has ruled out various hepatitas's and every other disease he could think of. He's also rulled out any kind of bile duct blockage after the MRCP. Its now been 7 weeks since all this started, my friend has dropped 40 lb's (190 down to 152) and still dropping. Our doctor (gastro interologist) has admitted he's stumped and is currently contacting a professor in Miami as a last hope. The only thing our doctor keeps comming back to is the Doxycyclene and that my friend may have had that one rare acute reaction. We're frazzled and don't know what to do next.

Hey,
I have been on Yasmin for over a year now, and four weeks ago I noticed that I had numbness on one side of my right foot and around my lower right leg, and the side of my left toe was also numb. I thought I might have MS, but after reading this site, I think I will stop taking the pill and see if the numbness goes away. I am scared to stop though, because the reason I am on it anyway is because of a hormonal imbalance that is causing me to lose my hair and grow facial hair. I have read so many people here saying that they have started losing a lot of hair, and for someone who already has thin hair, that is a scary concept. There is only one side effect that has not touched me, and that is the loss of sex drive. I am not having sex because I am waiting for marriage, but let me tell you, there are plenty of times that I wouldn't mind it! Oh well, I guess everyone has their own experience. Thanks for all of the posts; they have really helped me to not think that I have an incurable disease.

Post your symptoms since stopping Yasmin!!!
Hey everyone it's Kay21 here and I just wanted to post my 3 month off Yasmin update. Because stopping the pill is a hard decision, I figured we should all post are updates here to help/support those who are planning to stop or who have recently stopped Yasmin.
I have been off of Yasmin since April 17. As some of you already know, I was experiencing horrible side effects while on Yasmin for 3 years (particularly stomach problems, vaginal dryness, muscle cramps, increased blood pressure and heart rate and anxiety).
The first 1 month off of Yasmin was okay. In fact, I felt the best I had ever felt in a while. My blood pressure and heart rate decreased and the migraines and muscle cramps went away. But when I hit the 2 month (8 week) mark, I felt HORRIBLE. I was severely depressed and anxious. I was crying all the time and felt a severe sense of DOOM! The physical symptoms also started to become problematic. The acne increased and I started growing more facial hair. The worse symptom, however, was that I started losing a ton of hair. I would lose stray hairs all day (probably about 200 a day). Since I have hit the three month mark, the hair loss has gotten MUCH WORSE! Now I am losing CLUMPS of hair all day. I have seen several doctors about this. Some say it's because of stress and a few (a derm, GYN and endo) say that hiar loss is common after stopping bcp. I have already loss about 1/3 of my hair.
I am also really concerned, because I have not had a period since April 22. So my doctor has put me on provera for 10 days to induce a period.
For those who have stopped Yasmin, what have your symptoms been (i.e. increased acne, weight gain, anxiety, etc.). Has anyone experienced hair loss? How long did it take to get a period???
Thanks...

Hello:
My mother is taking Reminyl and it appears she is experiencing more than usual hair loss. I am just trying to troubleshoot the cause and I wondered if there was a connection? Is there anyone else with the same experience?
Thanks, Liz

during a seven day course of Levaquin i experienced extreme gastrointestianl discomfort, chilling nightmares the general feeling of which would not subside upon waking. mentally i felt very strange and can only describe it as feeling "weird". i took my last dose two days ago and continue to have trouble sleeping. i am so glad i took the time to see if there was any information out here about this drug. i can say with certainty that i will absolutely never take it again and will make friends and family aware of my experience. thanks for all the informative posts. and good luck to those with lingering symptoms.

Hi All
I've been on Yasmin for a year. At first, it’s fine until there’s some side effect such as emotionally, leg cramp, headaches, breathless, chest pain, etc. since July ’08. Had stopped taking Yasmin on end Aug ’08. Since stopping it, I feel much better emotionally but was feeling so sick every day as had gained about 9 Lbs, stomach bloating, indigestion, abdominal pain, headaches, water retention (swelling on my finger & legs), having acne on my face, skin become very dry & skin allergy and the worst is that I’m losing lots of hair everyday (about 1/4 of my hair in the past few months and it’s still dropping & some portion already bald).
Could anyone give some advice how to get my hair back to normal through their experience?
Thanks
