Experimental drug symptoms and conditions

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 20. (i'm now 26) I was on 80mg of prednisone for about 2 years. I again about 45 lbs, between water retention and just an increase of appetite and extra calories. I developed moon face and all the other horrible side effects. I was sweaty, bitchy and fat. Needless to say I was miserable. My doc put me on Remicade as an experimental drug, and it seemed to work well. We were able to wean myself off the prednisone and within 6 months the weight came off with the help of some Weight Watchers. 6 years later I'm back on the prednisone, but only 40mg this time, and hopefully for only a couple weeks. It's only been a week and I have insomnia, night sweats, mood swings (my poor boyfriend) rapid heart rate, and weird dizzy/nausea spells in the afternoon. My face seems a little bit fuller, but I think I'm being overly critical since several people have told me I look like I've lost weight in the last week. (it could be due to my flare up making me lose weight) My suggestion is that although this drug is horrible and makes you think you are losing your mind, it does help. Try and breath through the mood swings and remember it's not you. Ask your doctor for a tranquilizer if you have too. (The first time I was on prednisone, my dr. prescribed Xanax because I was so bad. It helped a lot) As for the weight gain, it's hard, and I'm trying to snack on carrot sticks and fruits instead of a whole bag of cookies. One good side effect I have noticed is that my complexion if the clearest it's every been. It's really incredible to be honest. Please know you aren't alone, and although you might not look like how you used to, your loved ones (hopefully) understand that this is a side effect and see you for how you've always been. It sounds sappy but sometimes we need to be reminded of that. I know I do. Good luck to you.

Took mostly for seizures, but have been informally diagnosed with Bipolar II.

Had tremors at night, almost immediately, marked anxiety, weight loss, strange heat flashes, severe headaches (already have a migraine problem), complete w olfactory hallucinations (could have been breakthrough simple seizures, or headache auras).

Felt detached from myself and others. But the most disturbing symptom of all was auditory hallucinations. I have no history of psychosis and this only happened after starting Lamictal. Basically I could hear a constant chirping sound, subtle, but loud enough at night to keep me from sleeping unless my radio was playing to distract me from the sound. Could it have been a new form of seizure? Maybe, but regardless, the sounds started at the time I started this drug. Plus, according to a psychiatrist, I had no signs of psychosis, just the unexplained phantom sounds. One last possibility: Maybe an inner ear problem. Still would like to look into that.

People are right when they say this is still an experimental drug. If I had known what I was getting myself into, I never would have tried this drug to begin with. If any of you have had auditory hallucinations on this drug, without a history of any sort of hallucination or psychosis, PLEASE respond here and let me know about your experience. Thanks!

i tried for long time. but cauld not get or felt better for
depressive bipolar mood.
this is a experimental drug.

my friend in 1989 was put gan. for kidney infection it was phyronifrous in think its called. doc stuck a hepron lock in the arm for 28 days and had dose ever four hours all the time at hospital 28 days of doses. then, after no results. it was they had no clue what the side affects could be. and had no idea what might happen in ten years becasuse of the dosage. it was almost an experiment. this happpened in canada. now she suffers from intestinal problems, severe cronic pain, arthritis that is crippling, graves diesese and basically is not having fun. can barely walk i have know her for 21 years she was healthy before neeed if anyone has seen this before. this was called an experimental drug at that by the doc. have his name but won't use here is this an anomilly, has one one seen this before we need answers help would be ok from any source. please help if you can

i am researching my whole birth and my deafness nad i know the yutopar was used as a drip as an experimental drug to reduce labor in 1982. i was just wondering if my deafness or what exactly yutopar does
