I am a 24 year old female. I got diagnosed with walking pneumonia after having a chest X ray at my doctors office. The doctor prescribed z-pak. I went home and took the first 2 pills and about 2-3 hours after taking it I suddenly experienced uncontrolled rapid heart rate. My heart was pounding so hard i almost fainted. I work in the medical field, and knew immediately that I was in trouble. My husband drove me to the ER, where I was admitted with a heart rate of 186 beats per minute, I honestly felt like i was going to faint, or die. Once they ran several tests and ruled out anything major IE blood clot, they determined I was having an extreme allergic reaction to the z-pak. They gave me IV benadryl and steroids, which immediately started to bring my heart rate down. I do not take any medications ever, other than supplements, this is the first time in 9 years that I have had to take an antibiotic, and this was the only prescription I was taking that day.

I was prescribed Lisinopril six weeks ago. Yesterday I was rushed to the urgent care facility nearby with difficulty swallowing and hugely swollen lips. The emergency MD prescribed prednisone and zyrtec for the extreme allergic reaction which was attributed to the Lisinopril. The swelling has gone down although it is still quite noticeable and my throat is extremely sore although I am able to swallow liquids that are lukewarm. I am a white female age 53 and have blood pressure that measures 133/80. I am fit and eat healthfully, and have an interest in a more holistic approach to controlling blood pressure issues (which I truly wonder if I really have). I did not experience headache, nausea or depression, however constipation has been severe since beginning even a low dose of Lisinopril of 10 mg.

I was put on Advair for extreme allergic reaction. I was coughing every night ( and it goot worse and I would cough days) and my lungs would fill up. I was tested for allergies and I came up allergic to EVERYTHING.

Recently I found out that I had roundworms ( intestinal parasites). The life cycle of the roundworm : egg is ingested- hatches in stomach - micro worm goes to heart then travels to lungs. The worm is then coughed up and swallowed- where it goes to the intestine and grows.

Could this be my unexplained "allergic to everythng?". I am still on Advair- but I am experiencing extreme muscle and joint pain. I feel like I am held together by rotton rubber bands.

I just did the search today on ADvair and I came up withthis thread- and I wonder how many other people have have parasites causing their asthma symptoms?

My next feat is egttig off Advair which I am addicted to....

Check out Dr Hulda Clark for parasite flushes. I will do this as soon as I stop nursing my baby....

Started advair after an extreme allergic reaction to burning poison ivy. It helped me to breathe more easily; but I think the doctor kept me on it too long. During the first year I had experienced heart attack like palpitations at night which I just lived through, and I saw a throat specialist who told me that voice lessons would help my throat pain and loss of voice (i.e., the problems were caused by my using my voice too much without training). At the end of the year I asked my allergist if I should continue to take advair and he said absolutely yes. After 8 more months on it the side affects incresed to include: hip and joint pain, acid reflux (I think this may be caused or made worse by back pain because it does get better after I do exercises that take pressure off the back), infection in sinus are that increased to a golfball size, rounded face and body front, anger, and depressive, negative thoughts. A month ago I decided myself to get off advair after reading this site and can say that already I have been having pleasant thoughts of well-being again and I sleep well even with joint pain. How long does it take for the body to recover from advair?

During the first year I had experienced heart attack like palpitations a few times which I just lived through. I saw a throat specialist, who told me I needed voice lessons to regain the voice I was losing. I asked my Dr if I should still be on it and he said absolutely yes. I guess my state of vulnerability after almost dying kept me from questioning the negative affects the drup was having on me. The depression I was experiencing probably also contributed. I stayed on it for another 8 months and the side affects increased to include: hip and joint pain, acid reflux (I think this may be caused by back pain because it gets better when I do exercises that take the pressure off the back), rounded face and front part of baody, anger, and depressive thoughts. I myself decided to get off advair a month ago after seeing this site and I so happy I did. I have been actually having feelings of well-being again and I sleep well evn with the joint pain. How long does it take for the body to recover from the affects of advair?

After ony one dose I found I began having blood in my stools and acute abdominal cramps. Discontinued immediately. I generally do not tolerate NSAIDs like Motrin very well in strong doses but someone suggested this particular adverse reaction to flurbiprofen might be somehow related to my extreme allergic reaction to penecillin (not sure why they think so).
