I have definitely noticed a weight gain! I started really watching my diet and running and it doesn't seem to be helping. Also, I have had problems with severe muscle aches and swelling in my right leg. It got so bad that I started taking prescription Naproxen for the pain, so I can sleep. I had no idea others were experiencing the same thing.

I took a 7 day dosage of Avelox. I went to the doctor for a sinus infection, and he inturn gave me a seven day sample pack out of his cabinet. How could Bayer be issuing these as samples at doctor's offices. At any rate, I took the full seven day dosage with the only side effect of being slightly dizzy. 3 days after my last dose, I woke up feeling like I had sprained my ankle. Within 2 days every joint, muscle and tendon from my lower back down to my feet was in extreme pain and almost totally immobilized. For 2 weeks I have hobbling around like a cripple in extreme pain and feeling like all my tendons are about to snap. I have been back to the doctor twice, and then to a rheumatologist, and I am going to an othropedic next week. I really hope this isn't permanent.Taking Aleve seems to help a bit instead of Advil or Tylenol, but I do not want to take harcore pain killers in the event that i could end up doing more damage to myself. I just hope this ends soon because it is driving me mad. This drug should be kept locked up in a cabinet to only treat people in extreme cases or taken off the market. I am young and physically fit, and now I feel like I am about 80 yrs on my last leg. Be very aware of what this drug may do to you.

I have taken, for the first time in my life for poison oak, prednisone- 60 mg for 3 days, 30 mg for 1 day, and 20 for 1 day. A week after the dose ended, I took another dose of it. As soon as that was over, the symptoms began with extreme low energy and dizziness, and eyes not feeling to well. I have been like this for a week, and would like to know how long this will last? And what can I do to speed up the process?

I have just read a few pages of this and am scared. I went to a new dr and was prescribed Yasmin even though I was totally happy on my other pill. The dr said Yasmin was safer and had fewer side effects but now I am worried. I feel so bad for you all and thank you for sharing your experiences to warn others. Does anyone know if these effectes happen majority of the time or only in extreme cases??

I just spent a fortune on three months of pills.... should I bin them and go back to Diane?

hi ladies foggy head here i just did a ton of research on diuretics which is whats in yasmin the stuff i read was unreal and confusing but if our electrolytes are imbalanced it causes all of our symtoms from vitamin deficiancy to heart palpatations to anxiety to muscle cramps and spasms please ladies read up on all of this because it made alot of sense but also confused me is anyone else familiar with the diuretic effect i did read certain diuretics can cause permanent neurological damage im hoping this is an elderly or extreme cases but the diuretic effect seems to be whats creating our nasty symptoms it also makes me wonder if it could be that becuz alot of women get their hormones tested and they come back pretty normal so has anyone had their electrolytes tested and be sure to remind your doctors this pill has diuretic in it i think they forget.

hi jillian,
the answer to that question i'm afraid is like asking how long is a piece of string, some people recover as soon as they stop yasmin, some take, weeks, months or in extreme cases years. The eye problem is quite common with birth control pills,in fact i think it might be listed on theyasmin sire as a possible side effect,i know i have read it somewhere. have you mentioned the fact that you use birth control pills to your optician? best wishes to you and hope that you start to see an improvement soon.

I just wanted to add that I've been taking Lisinopril for about 3 years. I lost about 25 pounds during the last year and had extreme cases of diarrhea and dizziness. At some times I felt like I would faint.

That is the reason I searched the website to see if other folks have had the same problem.

Today I found your site and felt so relieved to hear that other folks have had the same problem. I can't thank you enough!!

Am going back to my Dr. to see what she can recommend.

Blessings!
