UPDATE on removal 14 days ago.
It has been 2 weeks now since removal and I am reporting in. Everyone reacts to removal differently so here is mine:
Right away my breasts went back to normal size and are pain free. My hair immediately stopped falling out and vaginal odor is gone.
I immediately got an extreme energy surge/mood lift to the point that I could not go to sleep! I did not have sleep issues with the Mirena IN. It started when I got it OUT! But I am starting to be able to sleep better now.
No more headaches.
I feel so much better as my mood has improved.
My eyesight improved so much that I don't need my reading glasses anymore.
I am still fat but noticed the water retention is gone so I can tell I have lost a few pounds of which would not BUDGE before.
I STILL do not have my energy back or my sex drive back.
Also I immediately started bleeding and clotting heavily for about 5-6 days then it was GONE.
I have always been very very young for my age in every way. But after the Mirena was inserted I quickly went down hill. I feel like I aged 10 years with all the fatigue, hair loss, lack of sex drive, weight gain, aches, poor eye sight, etc. I just felt like I really aged so much. I hope to GOD I get my youth back again. I went from age 30 to 40 in one year!!!
I would rather accidentally get preg than have to live with the Mirena another day.

I was diagnosed with Dysthmia in April 07 and the doc prescribed Seroquel (25mg) and Topamax (25mg) I took them for about a week and felt spacey, like I was floating or something. I was scared to drive to work for fear that I would zone out and get in a car accident. So I stopped taking both after a week. Then I started again with both meds (same dosages) this Oct. I'm still on them and haven't experienced any weight gain. If anything, I'm losing weight...but since weight loss is a side effect of Topamax, it's probably countering the appetite gain effects of the Seroquel. My sex life is completely gone. I'm becoming emotionless and I feel like a zombie. Even on 25 mg I fall asleep within 25-30 minutes of taking the Seroquel. I'm so drowsy in the morning and it takes me a long time to get moving in the morning. I am always tired and seem to be fatigued most of the time. Once in awhile I have extreme energy bursts. My mood is more stable, but I plan to begin weaning myself off soon because I want my love life back. Also I have frequent muscle pains on the side of my stomach. Not sure where its coming from...I feel like I've been beat up.

Hello- I was Dx with Sarcoidosis in February, 2007. My lung specialist put me on 20mg Prednisone, increasing to 40mg within two weeks. My Sarcoid symptoms were from enlarged lymph- extreme trouble breathing, middle and lower back pain, kidney pain. Within a week of being at the 40mg level my heart rate and BP became so erratic that he had to start weaning me down. Initially I had extreme energy which felt good after suffering from fatigue but was short lived due to the cardiac problems.

The Prednisone has resolved much of my inflammation for the Sarcoid but I will not go on this again. I have been weaning now for over three weeks. Down under 5mg of Prednisone and it is almost unbearable. Each time I took a drop my mental symptoms became intolerable. Anxiety, extreme fatigue with extreme weakness, irrational thoughts, blurred vision. Within the last couple of days I could hardly get myself out of bed. My weight has increased steadily, bloating stomach, stiff joints, skin rash.

My biggest complaint is that doctors are not giving us enough information as to how this will affect from a negative side. Yes, it takes care of the inflammation but no one prepared me for these awful side effects and withdrawal symptoms. I feel like a nut case most of the time with no coping skills.

Anxiety, panic, fear. Peak and extreme energy and in alertness after it was taken, followed by a dramatic crash around 12 hours later, into extreme exhaustion. Very dry mouth and eyes. Constant feeling of worrying, feeling that something was wrong. I could not figure out what it was, until my husband told me to check into my medication. Also trouble with my vision, my contacts would cloud up.
