I was prescribed Bactrim for 10 days due to ear/throat/cough issues. After day 2 I had 102 fever, chills, sweats, extreme fatigue, and headache. After day 3/4 I started feeling severe doom and gloom. After day 5 I had insomnia and began having vision problems and felt like my eyes were "loose" in their sockets. I went back in, and saw a different practitioner, and reported my symptoms she thought it was my blood sugar and checked me for diabetes (which it wasn't). She ran more lab work, and chest xrays. Nothing came of it. On day 6 I began feeling a burning and itching sensation on my face, and throughout my head. Nothing helped. During all of this time I could not eat, and was extremely nauseated. I got online, and found all of my symptoms of Bactrim side effects. Needless to say, the bactrim is in the trash. In addition, last year my husband was prescribed bactrim for bronchitis, and ended up in the hospital. At the time they told us he had Scarlet Fever, but when we both went in this week, they stated it was an allergic reaction to Bactrim. He looked like he has a sunburn from head to toe, with a rash. He had 105 fever, and was severely dehydrated. I wish we would have been told that last year. They gave him a zpack this time, saying he was allergic to bactrim. I will never take this medication again, or have my family on it.

I was hospitalized with a severe kidney infection, later to be told it was e-coli. After several days of intravenous antibiotics along with prednisone in my IV to help manage terrific arthritis pain, I came home from the hospital with a prescription of levaquin, prednisone and something for my stomach that I could have gotten over the counter. I have progressively gotten sicker on my stomach, had severe attacks 3 to 5 times a day, headaches, extreme fatigue and weakness. Worst of all were the crazy thoughts when I woke up partly due to nightmares and partly to just not feeling myself and having a feeling of loss of control of all my emotions. I told my husband I believe I was going into a depression. After stumbling onto this site, I threw the 5 remaining levaquin in the trash and thank God that I found all the information I have today on this POISON. I agree with many that the side effects far outweigh any good this antibiotic has done for me. I continue to be very sick and weak. I just hope when I wake tomorrow this mess is out of my system for good.

Started with 25 mgsof Lisinopril in January 2008,started noticing lack of energy and extreme fatigue,By own accord I lost 40 lbs and then the side effects really multiplied.Went to the Dr and they cut my dosage in half.Shortness of breath was the worst, never did develop the cough, but a constant choking feeling was prevalent. Was sent to cardiologist for shortness of breath, all was o.k,sent to pulmanologist, lungs checked o.k,sent for ct scan, chest x ray, still no diagnosis.Blood work said I had heart muscle damage and needed to go to er soon as possible, after three days in the hospital still no answers,A doctor in the hospital took me off of the Lisinopril and i have final started seeing some improvement.Still have problems sleeping at night.

I started taking lisinopril in June, I have been going back and forth with problems but not once was I told it possibly was the lisinopril, tests upon tests upon tests! My complaints are severe fatique, I would walk about 20 feet and feel like I walked 10 miles, it seems any old injuries I have ever had have come back and are so sore and sensitive I can barely stand it, even to brush my hair is so painful, at first i thought it was the spirlactone/hydroclothorizide I was taking ,now I think it is probably the lisinopril, I have the cough, not real severe but it is there off and on, I have been gaining weight, 3 to 4 pounds everytime I go back to the doc. hands going numb, I try to eat healthy and to chew an apple fatiqued me so much I couldn't stand it, I've been telling my doctor all this stuff and he just keeps ordering more tests and bloodwork, I'm still waiting for the results of my last bloodwork where he took me off my meds for 3 days, he suspects something wrong with my kidneys, this is very frightening, they are also saying I may be diabetic and there is no history in our family either. I still can't believe the extreme fatique and weakness, when I get up after sitting my feet and back are so painful it is pathetic, now my knees are starting to hurt too! I've had ankle problems and back injuries years ago, but the pain is so severe, it's like it just happened, I'm beside myself, I will definetly be talking to the doctor about this!! Thanks to everyone for posting this information, I would have had no idea that the lisinopril could cause all these problems, I stopped taking the spirolactone and hydro, but now am wondering if this was any of the problem at all.I also had the cramping in my legs, neck, head, still i thought it was the other drug, boy I hope I can get answers, they started me at 10 and now I'm taking 30's the doc said if it doesn't take care of the b/p the dosage can go up to 85 "so there is lots of room to work with"......... I don't think so!!!! I also am very sensitive to cold or heat, man I'm a wreck!!! I went to the doctor to feel better!!!

I have been taking Wellbutrin Since April of 2005. My doctor prescribed it to help with overall stable moods (but I was not depressed and I told my doctor this) and for help in losing weight. I started with 150mg and experienced the following side effects:
Dizziness
Feelings like I had an urinary track infection.
My libido stinks anyway but it didn't seem to help or complicate anything sexual aspects.

I began taking 300mg about a week later. All of the above continued but the dizziness and urinary track infection feeling went away about a month later. However, these are the things I notice now that may be attributed to the Wellbutrin XL:

1. Extreme fatique that increases as the day goes on-I take my pill in the morning.
2. Difficulty concentrating and focusing. Mental clarity problems. I feel this affects my ability to work because I do a lot of writing. Memory problems. One example: left my keys in the car running until my husband noticed.
3. Sensitivity to light.
4. No wieght loss (as this was the reason I am on it), I feel like I am eating more and more often.
5. Physical weakness.
Among other things.

I must say that I am unsure as to whether all this can be contributed to the Wellbutrin XL. I had blood work done because of all the fatique and mental concentration problems. I was told that given the blood work that I might have arthritis, then I was told that I have a reactivation of MONO. Then I was told that I may have Lyme disease. Do I think it is the Wellbutrin XL? Right now I am weening myself off the drug. Taking half a pill until I reach my doctor to discuss this. Since taking less of a dose, I feel much better with more energy (not completing my self) and I feel I can concentrate.

We will see if the above side effects are in fact the Wellbutrin.

Good luck to all. For me, I am better off not taking Wellbutrin.

Regards,
Beth

Extreme fatique, clammy skin around the eyes and nose for no reason, chills when it is not cold around me, cold, cold feet when it is a warm sunny day.
Dreams that are vivid and exhausting.

Fogginess, and difficulty walking or climbing stairs
without becoming breathless.
Now I am depressed and frightened because life is something that I can only endure, not enjoy.

I can't post side effects from this pill because I have not yet begun taking it. I can however thank all of you that have posted and listed your side effects.

I have a hyperthyroid and am very sensitive to medications. I was diagnosed a year ago with uterine fibroids and was put on the pill to try and treat the symptoms of the fibroids. At first I was fine, PMS improved, cramps were managable but after going on and off this one pill when I chose to stay on it I began having bad thyroid test results, extreme fatique, headaches, severe breast tenderness, etc. They changed me to Ovcon 35 and I started suffering from extreme nausea, can't sleep, shaky hands, extreme nervousness. Today I called my doctors nurse practitioner, she didn't want me to change pills, I insisted. When I went into the office my gyno was sitting at the front desk, his attitude was "Well, what can you deal with better, severe breast tenderness or nausea." I decided that before I would take Yasmin I would research it. Thank you to all you wonderful ladies that have shared your symptoms. Unlike the person that calls for people to have an open mind, after seeing only a few positive post out of the many negative ones, I have decided to throw the pills in the trash.
Thanks again.
