I had the Mirena removed on Friday Oct 17th. When I went in my Dr's immediate response to me wanting it removed was "Oh you guys are gonna try for another baby!" LOL As if there are NO other reasons to get this thing removed.. So I told him that sometime in the next 6 months to a year we were planning a pregnancy. Anyways, I told him my main reasons for getting the Mirena removed which included (Horrible cramps, bleeding 2 weeks out of the month, Massive Headaches, Extreme fatigue, Hair falling out, folliculitis, and so-on). He informed me that there has been extensive studies done on Mirena and NONE of the symptoms I've expressed were caused by the Mirena, So instead of arguing with him I just kept my mouth shut and told him to remove the Mirena.. During the removal the strings had wrapped around my cervix so he used this toothbrush looking thing to scratch them off of there (that was a lil uncomfortable but nothing I couldn't handle) I didn't even feel the actual removal of the Mirena. About an hour of 2 after leaving the doctor's office I started having horrible cramps. On Sat. I started bleeding like Niagra Falls. It's kinda weird what my body is doing. I have light to normal bleeding most of the time but towards the evening around 5 I start bleeding like Niagra Falls, and this lasts for about 4 hours.. Not sure what is going on there but I did call the doctor's office and spoke to a nurse who assured me that it was normal because my body is trying to get my hormones back in order.. So i'm still having all the side effects listed above however, NOW my eye balls hurts something fierce. The are throbbing, burning and just overall hurting. So I'm not sure this is associated with the Mirena and it's removal but I figured I would let you all know what I am experiencing after the removal.

I just thought I would share my removal story with all you ladies that currently have the Mirena and are thinking of getting it removed.

Have been on Simvastatin since May 2007. Have experienced debilitating headaches every day for the first three months, neck and shoulder pain, lower back pain, tiredness to the point of having to stop what I am doing and go to bed and am wondering now whether any other female taking Simvastatin has experienced a burning sensation when passing very hot water and extremely uncomfortable and painful sex.

After being on Lipitor for over 5 years, I was told to stop cold turkey by my doctor after my routine blood test. Within 10 days I got blood clots and a pulmonary embolism. I had been on an aspirin a day for over 10 years, I drank cranberry juice often and always ate green leafy veggies. I never had any blood clots before coming off the Lipitor and I am convinced that it caused them. It has been a struggle with the pains in my legs ever since. Has anyone had the same or have heard of someone with the same side effect? ******

I am a 35 yr old male and have been taking lipitor about 7 yrs. I have a genetically high cholesterol and it has been up to 275. On lipitor its around 175. Over the years I have been on this drug I went from being a normal weight and active to pretty much lethargic and sedentary due to lack of energy and gained ~50 lbs. I couldn't sleep. I got random nausea and fogginess in my brain to the point I could not remember how to perform my job. I usually had minor aches and was bloated. the past year everything has gotten much worse. For a year now, I have been getting large rashes on my body that itch severely and no medications have worked to alleviate them. I found out recently from my doctor that I have a genetic marker in my cholesterol that makes me 3 times as likely to have a heart attack. Its a portion of the cholesterol, i think its called LDL-b or something like that. Anyways, My doctor prescribed zetia to help with my cholesterol since the lipitor wasn't doing it alon. I begin feeling very sick when taking the zetia and after a week or two stopped it. The problems didn't end. As long as I remained on the lipitor, the problems seemed to continue. Its like the zetia released a dam of problems. I stopped the lipitor 4 days ago and have noticed that I feel energy coming back to me and the rash is starting to go away, but I ache severely all over. My shoulders, forearms, and legs are so sore and painful that I can't do anything about this except sleep so I don't feel the pain. I am also very weak feeling and I notice stiffness in my fingers and my grip is very weak compared to how it normally is. I have nausea and stomach cramps and constipation. I feel miserable. I notice its worse in the morning and gets a little better towards the afternoon. I typically took my lipitor in the morning. I do not know if there is a relationship here. Please advise on any help you can provide.

I have only been on Topamax for a couple of weeks now and it seems I've had every side effect known to man. It is not a boring drug. I've had all the ones you hear about--the fuzzy tingling/numbness in my feet and fingers, stomach cramps/nausea/disinterest in food that comes and goes, and sleeplessness. Sometimes I get this bizarre, creeping sensation that a hair is on this one part of my nose and I can't get it off, a bad weighted, heavy, weak feeling that comes over me about an hour or two after I take the pill, some dizzy moments and even some balance issues. I've had insane cotton mouth since taking the pill and just the last several days my eyes have been so dry it feels like tiny shop vacs are attached to my eye balls. I'm relieved this is maybe a common symptom because I had not read that one and I'm overly paranoid about my eyes because my doctor scared me to death talking about all of the potential rare side effects, such as glaucoma. I have no idea how to know whether what I am feeling is an early symptom of glaucoma versus dry eyes but I believe it is simply dry eyes. It seems logical is you have cotton mouth you'd have dry eyes. Does anyone know how common this is and does anyone have a great drop?
