Have been on Cymbalta 30mg daily for a year. Started on Wellbutrin 50mg daily about 6 weeks ago to help with attention deficit. About 4 weeks or so ago I started having occasional muscle cramping in hands and feet. Yesterday I started with twitching of left eye. Last time I had the eye twitching it was the beginning of an allergic reaction to Prozac. I'm thinking even the low dose Wellbutrin may be too much. anyone else had this experience? I'm also starting to notice an increase in anxiety. Not sure if it's due to worrying about the cramping and twitching or the Wellbutrin itself. Any thoughts?

I have a three year old son who has severe allergies. He's been taking singulair for 2 years on & off just in the allergy season. He started taking, singulair again in the beginning of April. One morning he woke up and both eyes were really swollen and red, I called his doctor's office and told them i thought he had pink eye, after 2 different drops and no change I brought him into the doctor's to see if it could be his allergies, and they agreed and started him on Zyrtec. I still was not impressed with the results so i brought him back yet again to see if we could see a specialist. Instead they put him on nasonex to try.
In the beginning of March I started to see a change in my usual happy fun loving son. He was scared to sleep in his bed, waking up in the middle of the night from bad dreams, uncontrollable screaming fits that would last up to an hour, saying he wants a Boo Boo. At first we thought it could be jealously over his new brother, or maybe something at his school.
Then i found this website and everything clicked, how scary it must be for a child to have these horrible thoughts and not be able to understand or stop them. What are the people at merck thinking??
Can any one tell me when the symptoms stop. He's been off for a week and we see some improvements. But he still has these fits with almost an OCD tendency to them (mainly when he's overtired), stomach pains, lack of appetite.

Has anyone had any eye twitching? I had Mirena inserted early December. In addition to the swelling to which I looked like I could burst (eyelids included) I've had an eye twitch for the last 6 weeks.

i am 25 years old and have been on orthotricyclen for years. i quit taking the pill about a year ago when i became single. three months ago i met the most wonderful man ever so i decided to get back on birth control. my doctor suggested the NuvaRing. sounded interesting so i decided to give it a try. she suggested that i leave it in for a month at a time, (taking it out and immediately inserting a new one at the first of every month) i find it hugely strange that so many women on these posts have been recommended to leave it in for such different time intervals. some for three weeks, some for a month...and some for three months at a time!!
for the first month i had extreme lower back pain, awful headaches, an eye twitch or two, and just had a nosebleed the other day for the first time in like 10 years!
for the year that i was off of birth control, i was so happy. i was on the pill for almost 9 years! since starting the NuvaRing, i think i cry hysterically like 4 times a week, when before it was almost never (once a month). my boyfriend is starting to think I'm crazy. i can't even have a simple adult discussion with him without losing it. i have also yelled a a few people at work recently.....not like me at all!
i took the ring out a week ago and do not plan on using it anymore. the symptoms have not stopped yet, but I'm hoping i will be back to normal soon.
i also had my period for three weeks when i wasn't supposed to and now is the "off" week and i have nothing but spotting. definitely do not feel like the NuvaRing is good for me at all!

My son had a cough for most of the winter last year. This year we made enough fuss that they looked into it. They did chest x-rays and they were clear. They put him on antibiotics and robitussin w/codeine and singulair. He is 5. The cough went away I was so excited. Then like 3 weeks in he started this throat clearing grunt. I thought it was just a bad habit he picked up at school he also got nasty and emotional and couldn't concentrate and this is a very quit witted 5 year old who's pre-k teachers are always threatening to send to high school, anyway they had me set up an appointment with a ped. pulmonologist. His RX ran out before the visit so I just let it go thinking if he needed it they would tell us at the visit. The day before he started rolling his eyes up in his head then the day after the visit (sat.) I hadn't gotten the new rx's yet which were singulair & albuterol and flovent inhalers. Sat night the eye rolling was getting worse and he started jerking his head to one side and opening his mouth to the side and after he went to bed he had an asthma attack. Sunday the eyes and mouth and head jerking was worse and I was in tears scared to death. I gave him the singulair and the inhalers and made an appt with his ped. I gave him the singulair on monday too before I found this site. I was horrified but relieved to find people who had similar experiences with this med. Mon. was his last dose and it is now friday and the eye rolling, head jerking, grunting and the mouth thing are all gone he is doing a little eye twitch where he looks down and to the side but only a few times in an hour. Used to be almost constant. His ped didn't think it was the singulair neither did the pulmonologist. It's so scary that these doctors have no idea. I made an appt with our chiropractor who is also a great homeopathic dr. to find out what we can use instead of singulair.
If there are any lasting side effects from this med.....

well, after reading all of these posts,
i have hit a harsh reality. my husband has been right this whole time. My sex drive has hit ROCK BOTTOM....my fuse is so short i snap at him at absolutely NOTHING....our marriage is SUFFERING...and coincidentally...it all started right after i started taking topamax...i am only taking 75mg a day...2 in the morning, and 1 at night...
i was so excited because my migraines, that i was getting every single day, were FINALLY gone....and i lost 10 pounds...and i only had to suffer the change in taste in my sodas, the slightly irritating eye twitch in my left eye, and the tingling in my feet. i just thought the sex drive and mood swings were purely coincidental. now that i have read every single post from you guys, i am now forced to go to my husband with my tail between my legs and tell him i'm so sorry for blowing up on him every time he begged me to get off the topamax and i absolutely refused because i refused to go back to the pain of my daily migraines...
as far as the hair loss, i have thick curly hair and i already shed like a shaggy dog so i dont know if mine has really increased or not due to taking the medicine. looking at it now, i can probably say it has, a little, but not much.
i have always shed like crazy..lol
but mainly, my side effects were the change in taste with sodas and beer (beer aquired a "sweet" taste, sodas lost it's "fizz" on the front of my tongue if that makes any sense), my left eye had a constant twitch until i upped my dosage to 3 a day instead of 2, i get the tingling in my feet only, none in my hands or face like i've read, i started getting slight nausea when i added my birth control patch back into the mix with the topamax but that subsided once my body got used to everything.
Sitting here reading this has made me realize a lot about this medicine.

I'm so sorry you are so sad! I too am 32 and had to stop taking Yasmin b/c of possible clot. I was taken off mid-pack June 7th. I know everyone is different, but my skin/hair have gone from borderline dry to more the greasy side, and I actually even had face breakouts. I tease I'm a teenager again! I'm adjusting my skin/hair care products, but have had many women reassure me that skin more on the greasy side will stave of wrinkles as I age. :-) I wouldn't say I noticed my hair thinning on Yasmin but it definitely was more brittle and broke more. I was very emotional at first after Yasmin and still have my days, but after 2 months I feel like I'm starting to stabilize. And thanks for the eye twitch notice, yet another effect I didn't even know was likely a Yasmin thing. I bet you will notice as you feel better all the 'stuff' you didn't realize were due at least in part to Yasmin, too. Please hang in there, I am very hopeful as the days and weeks go by your WILL feel better!

MY HEAD IS ITCHY AND I HAVE A RASH OR SOMETHING ON MY SCALP. IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY. COULD THIS BE A SIDE EFFECT FROM TAKING LIPITOR? ALSO, I STOPPED TAKING LIPITOR 2 YEARS AGO, BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS MAKING MY EYE TWITCH. I TRIED TO WATCH MY DIET INSTEAD. NOW I WAS TESTED 3 MONTHS AGO AND MY CHOLESTEROL WAS VERY HIGH, SO MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED LIPITOR AND I REALLY DON'T THINK IT AGREES WITH ME. WHAT SHOULD I DO? IS THERE A BETTER PILL TO SWITCH TO? LET ME KNOW. THANKS!

My son is taking Adderall xr and I've noticed an eye twitch. Has anybody else experienced this, on this medication? My Dr. says it probably isn't related. I had him off the med over the summer and it lessened the eye movement but it never went away, now that we are back on it, it seems to have gotten worse again? Looking for answers.

I posted my experiences on June 5, 2009. I thought I would do an update. Yes, I am overjoyed that I had Mirena removed. It took 3-6 months for the side effects from the drug to disappear after removal. In the first 1-3 months following removal I haven't experienced another rash, itchy skin, hair loss, anxiety, heart flutter, bloating, cramping, breast tenderness,or eye twitch. It took about 3-6 months for the mild to cystic acne and low back pain to finally vanish. I still have problems with tendinitis in my wrist. The depression and feeling of laziness is also a side effect of the medication that can disappear if the device is removed. I paid for all the expenses out out pocket with no insurance, but I'm glad I didn't wait to have the Mirena removed because of the expense.
