Fast heartbeat symptoms and conditions

everyone has their own opinion about mirena but i am here to assure you all that your not crazy. Im currently 19 years old and had mirena inserted October of 2008. Its been about a year and im going nuts. For a long time i had no answers to all of the crazy side effects. I didn't want to believe it was this wonderful easy convenient birth control. Im a college student and i just didn't want any unplanned babies. well its made my life worse. I smoke cigarettes so my doctor told me this was the best option and so i was all for it. Slowly but surely i started losing hair i didn't notice for awhile because my hair was thick in full well i can wrap a standard pony tail four frekin times around my pony. Its about half of my usual hair now. NOT ONLY is it falling out but its very dry and splitting all it does is tangle. Im very healthy young and i take vitamins daily to try and slow this process but it does no good. Since February of 2008 ive been having these terrible episodes were i get worked up for no reason. Ill be sitting in class and all of a sudden i feel like ive run a marathon. My heart races my palms sweat and a tremble. I get so freked out i have to leave class because i fell like im going to die. The worst anxiety attacks and i have to control my breathing or they just last longer. My face is so oily and so is my hair. I usually only washed my hair every other day so i don't strip the natural oils out but now its become a everyday thing which just contributes to more hair lose. I use to break out only around my period now i don't go a day without acne. Im even getting it in my scalp and back. If I don't eat on a schedule i feel like im going to pass out i get severely hungry and weak. I have pains in my uterus and ovaries sometimes and though they don't last long they are painful. I never feel like i want to have sex ever and if i do theres no telling when its going to hurt. Im very dissatisfied with mirena i loved it at first but not enough to go bald. ITS MADE MY LIFE SO STRESSFUL I FEEL BALD AND UGLY AND THAT LEADS TO DEPRESSION.

I never thought I would ever be posting my experience with BC but I think this could be useful to other women worldwide. I have been using Yasmin now for a year and a half and I agree with everyone here at the beginning I felt great, beautiful skin, controlled short term periods, stable weight. My body changed in all the right places. My breast turned a cup larger (I was a 34B) my buttocks got larger and rounder. My boyfriend was enjoying the changes as much as I was!! I thought this was the perfect pill for me and I actually recommend it to all my friends. Things started changing for me about three months ago. I started to feel tired, I use to work out 5 times a week now I can't even work out one. My eyesight started to change, I started getting cramps in my legs at night, my legs started feeling heavy as if I was losing circulation, fast heartbeat, and the occasional migraine to top it all of. Then I found the commercial about the lawsuit on TV and I panicked!! I googled the lawsuit and I found this websi

te and after reading everything here I went straight to my Dr. this afternoon with all my side effects. I am 39 now 18 on diferent types of BC and up until now I have been a very healthy and active person. When I read everything here I was decided to get off thie pill inmediately. But here goes what my Dr. said: (I trust his opinons because he is a friend and has been my obgyn for the last 15 years) " first Yasmin is the best hormone BC on the market, very women has different side effects and giving me another pill wouldn't solve my problem. I could actually get worse. He gave my the option of going of the pills but asked me if I was ready for all the changes that would bring. Weight gain, acne, anxiety, depression etc. Another option he suggested I try was taking an antioxidant complex, omega 3, and lecithin. All natural supplements which he firmly believes will make me feel much better, help my circulation, and minimize the side effects. I will start this treatment tomorrow and stay on the Yazmin for at least another month. PS. My health is in perfect conditions after blood tests and sonograms. thank God!! I was on Prednisone 10 mg. per day for sinus inflammation which helped with that but gave me some bad side effects such as: loss of appetite, fast heartbeat and the worst being nervousness, anxiety, and nausea. I got rid of my pain but the side effects, ugghh!! I am not going to take it anymore. There are other things to take for inflammation.

I'm glad I found this site. I started taking these pills last month (June 09). I began experiencing spotting the second week of taking this pill and it never went away. I've had several of the other issues including unusual abdominal and leg pains and a fast heartbeat. I thought I was going to have to quit taking them. Now I'm thinking I should hang on a little longer. I just started pack two and this is day four. My period seems to still be on or maybe it's the spotting again though it seems heavier than last month. I was prescribed these pills to control heavy bleeding but I'm sure I've bled more in this last month than before. I also had the worst cramps I've ever experienced when I had three white pills left in the first pack. The next day my period started and then stopped going back to the spotting. So far, my period has been on for six days--the second and third days were very heavy and the rest relatively light. I think I'm going to stick it out for a couple more months just to see if my everything levels out.These pills are definitely "off the chain".

I'm sorry for everyone's troubles with this med. First of all, my blood sugar has been HIGHER than on regular metformin. I'm taking Janumet which is Januvia combined with metformin- dosage: 50/1000 twice a day. I have noticed a FAST heartbeat, irritability / sadness, higher levels in BS. After reading these posts, I AM GOING OFF JANUMET. Most noticeable side effect is the increased heart rate- it feels like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. Scary.

Oh God. i am on the Depo Provera shot. My daughter is 7, I have been rotating between the patch and the shot every other year, because the doctor says its not good to be on the shot for more than a year, something about osteoporosis. Mind you, I haven't had any problems before, but i have been back on the shot i wanna say 6 months, well whatever, i'm on my second dosage. And I am blowing up!And now that i am putting 2 and 2 together, I do have a lot of headaches. i don't know what to do. I have to have birth control because I LOVE SEX. And it helps with my cramps. I mean when I'm not on birth control, I have the kind of cramps that make you feel like you are going to vomit. I'm still small but I have gained 20 pounds! That will not leave! Now i'm debating on getting off birth control all together!!! The patch was cool, but that big ass band-aid is not sexy! It looks like a Nicotine patch. And I was considering the mirena, but you said you gained weight off of that! Oh lord! And I can't take pills because they give me yeast infections! What other methods are there?? All the problems that I was having I didn't put 2 and 2 together until a coworker's hair started falling out due to a Birth Control pill she just started taking. Side effects that I am having are: I have gained 25 pounds and I don't eat shit. Fatigue. Hemorrhoids. Small portions of acne around my hairline. Fast heartbeat sometimes. I felt a kicking feeling in my belly about 3 times. Last week when I caught a cold my vision was blurry. Can't walk up a flight of steps without breathing like a 500 pound woman. A slight headaches. Not excruciating just a dull pain that will not go away until I take some aspirin. Irritability. And gas. This makes me not want to be on any kind of birth control period. I am researching different methods now.

Heart skipping beats, and fast heartbeat. All over flu like body ache, bloody sinuses, knee pain, eyesight not quite right. I didn't catch on at first, I thought I was close to a heart attack. First day off Januvia, none of these symptoms so far.

In January of 2008 I was diagnosed with Diabetes Type II, I was prescribed 500 mg of Metformin twice a day. After six weeks of therapy it was still ranging in the 200+, then the doctor added Actos 30mg and Lipitor 20 mg. One month after taking these, I started feeling dizzy, light headed. Then one day out of blue while driving to work, I had what I felt as a severe panic attack, fast heartbeat and sensation of near-fainting and a throbbing headache. At first I though it was just severe anxiety. I let the doctor know he just said it was stress related anxiety and referred me to see a therapist. Kept taking Actos and Lipitor and the episodes kept coming stronger and more frequently. To make a long story short, my children got concerned and looked up the medications I was on and looked up my symptoms on a website called ****** and discovered that I was not the only one having these same side effects. I have stopped taking the medications now for four days and my symptoms have stopped and starting to slowly feeling better.

I was on the Depo shot for almost 2 1/2 years after I had my second child. I always thought that my bad attitude and mood swings was because of all of the stress that I was under with being a single parent of 2 little kids. I was due to get the shot again in January and I didn't get it, at first because I didn't have the money for it at the time, but then I started to realize that I was in such a better mood. I was actually happy and had the energy to play with my kids. I did love not having a period, but I don't mind having one now that I'm actually able to enjoy spending time with my kids. I've been off of the shot for about 4 months now and just now had a period. It has lasted for over a week now and I'm not sure when it is going to stop. Right now I'm in the process of trying to find another form of birth control, but I'm not sure what to try because I also have endometriosis so I need something that will help with that. My doctor wants me to try the Nuvaring, but after I've read all of the complaints on here, I'm not sure I want to try it at all. And I was trying to lose weight, but I discovered that it was just about impossible while being on the shot because I had such a huge appetite. I've been eating less now and have lost a few pounds already. I also had a drastic loss of sex drive while on the shot. I always thought that the reason sex was so painful for me was because of the endometriosis, but since I've been off of the shot, I've been able to actually enjoy sex again, with no pain. I'm almost afraid to try any other birth control because I do not want to go back to being the person that I was when I was on the Depo shot.

thank god for this site...I'm not trying the shot either...........gosh is there no good b/c out there??? no patch no ring no pills and now no shot......what is left????

Very fast heartbeat and very little sleep. I have been taking 500mg for 5 years this month.. I did not take one last night and had no problems with heartbeat. Could some one tell me how to stop taking Niaspan. Can you quit all at once.

I have been on Depo for about 7 years. I never had a problem, I never had any periods at all. When i went off I became pregnant in 3 months. I have decided that I will never go back on it just because everyone has warned me about the horrible bone decay. I am awaiting a bone density test in March and I am very nervous. It took this long to actually start listening to what people were telling me about this drug.especially my doctor. I tried the pill 2 months ago (tri-cyclon_ for the 1st time and it is the worst thing I have ever done. I am depressed beyond words. I have no desire for sex no desire to eat, or to be social. this is where brown stuff hits the fan. I am done with needles,pills and any other thing that put chemicals in the body. Condoms, I have no choice. I am sick sick of being mentally and physically sick, on account of putting crap in my body.

I was on the patch for a year and a half. The only reason I stopped being on the patch was because my insurance got cancled.lol. But when I got new insurance I decided to get a different birth control because of all the negativity surrounding the patch. It was great for me though. No real side effects, it eased my Menstral cramps drastically to the point where I did not even need pain killers for the cramps! After a while the only other thing I began to not like about the patch is the fact that it was exterior...and because of the site on which I wore my patch (my buttocks) I thought it made my sexy lingerie pieces look a little off...sort off like a big band aid on the ass when I had on cute thong. But anyway I loved it for the most part. So ppl if you are on it and it does not really effect you and you like it then keep it!
