hello everyone
i am a full time college student and I believe that i have some side effects from synthroid. As i was reading everyones blog i notice that some people feel the same way that i do. At times i feel that i'm normal but if something upsetting happens i get really tired, depress, and I have a never time concentrating at school and home. My body hurts all the time. especially my joints and i feel that i don't want to do anything. I have about a year left until i graduate and its the going to be hard. I cry sometimes for no reason. help! i'm going to talk to my doctor but if any body else feels the same way please reply.

I, too have been losing my hair. I always said to myself, "I may not have much going for me but I do have good hair and good teeth." Now my scalp is showing, and I'm pretty bummed out about it. I'm also having nausea during the morning hours, and then headaches that wake me up from my sleep.

I recently discovered that my Yasmin birthcontrol could be what is making me feel anxious and depressed lately. It comes in bursts one or more times a day where I feel lots of axiety, depressed and thoughts that I cant live like this anymore. I have stopped taking it and was wondering if anyone knew anything that could help me to relax when ever I start feeling out of control. I'm hoping to get it all out of my system soon and start feeling back to normal again. I'm tired of feeling scaired and sad and anxious. Any one else feel the same way? Any success stories from stopping the pill and how soon did you start feeling good again?

Went on a 6 day dose of methylpred to stop a 16 day migraine. (worked on 4th day) Side effects: cleared a 45 yr problem with eczema that NO ONE had cleared before! I have energy like I had at 25, I am an arithric 52 year old.
A problem I had with itchy skin, was taking 100 mgs of atarax a day, that problem is gone.
Can I stay on this stuff forever? I'm in love with it, what is this?! Tomorrow is my last day. :-( My house hasn't been this clean in years, I've cleaned my son's, too!

Hello,
I was so happy to hear from all of you. I have been to the doctor 2 times with dizziness, weakness, and migraines. My doctor couldn't figure it out and all along i felt it was hormones. I feel so sick and i am just wondering if anyone has felt this way on yasmin. I hope so because i want an answer and i feel so sick. I was given an antiobiotic because the dizziness could be from an ear infection, but i think from hearing all of your stories i feel the same way as all of you. I stopped taking it, i'm basically waiting for the pill to get out of my system and its nly been a day.

Hey again
I feel the same way most of you women do. I am the one with the panic attacks about the volcanoe. I know it sounds stupid, but I saw a little segment on tv about the volcanoe under yellowstone national park. It really freaked me out because of course they say it may erupt in the next 100 years...so why does it bother me so much. It never used to. I honestly thought I was crazy until my mom found this web site. It helps alot. I have panic attacks, night sweats, dry throat, numbness in my arms at times, tired, I don't eat much, I was vomiting for a while. IT SUCKS!! I was on my first pack of Yasmin, I took the 3 weeks of yellow active pills, and when 3 days into the white inactive ones, I started to have this symptoms really bad, so I quit the pack. I'm glad I got this early, and not after a year or so, from what I have read on this web site is that in about 2 weeks I should start feeling like myself again...I really hope so, my mom and boyfriend are so worried about me. My mom said that I am just not myself. I have a month and a half old baby, sometimes I just don't want to take care of her. I never had that feeling before, until Yasmin got in my system. I can't wait until it's out. I don't like living my life this way, in anxiety.
Please keep posting your thoughts...it really helps when I start to go into a panic attack......can anyone tell me how long it took to feel normal again after quiting Yasmin?????

i too feel the same way about a week before and a week after my period. its a few days before my period right now and i feel my chest is tight. i also have a problem of sore throat and a feeling that my throat is very heavy a week before my period. my back, shoulders and neck ache and i get depressed and feel that i can never be like i was before taking this crap. and all this when i was on yasmin for only 1 month and 2 days extra before i realised that yasmin was causing me severe sore throat. i even had a upper gi series to check for reflux and the GI told me i was fine. i actually feel better if i take some warm steam. if anyone ever finds out the reason behind this feeling of heavy and sore throat please find time to put it up on this site.

Well I'm here again..
It's been 6 months since I've been off and the weight is not budging!! I feel disgusting, I've never been this big in my life. I see that lots of other people feel the same way, so that at least comforts me. I'm up 2 dress sizes and am bloated! Also I still have acne on my neck.
I hear that everyone says be patient, but for some reason I just can't believe that someday in the future the weight will come off.? Is this true?
I recently had a cyst on my ovary which is gone now, but the doctor there told me that there was basically nothing I could do to make the weight come off. It was nice to finally here that from a doctor. She said give it a YEAR!!
Anyway if anyone wants to post who has lost the weight please do, and how does it suddenly come off??
Thanks ,
Mollie

Hi Sherry!
Your internist really says that it takes 6 months to completely clean out from bc?? OMG! The first doctor here that really tells the truth!! Most doctor's I've read or heard of say, that it only takes a few weeks to detox from the chemical hormones... Well, however, I never believed this b/c my I'm afraid my experience told me something different!!
So I think it's no miracle, that some women write, it took them about a year to feel totally back to normal!! And I feel the same way, too. Much things have gotten much better after Yasmin but I'm not totally back to a healthy and solid, positive person, like I was before this Yasmin nightmare!! There's still a feeling like a was in a rollercoaster, every day something different, one day I'm pretty fine, the other day I think I can't go on like this anymore...
Would be so good to hear, if this water pill is helping you against the bloating/water retention!! I'm really desperate about this too, as I went up a whole size since getting off Yasmin, and not in a few months but in a few WEEKS without eating more than before!! :( As I'm a singer in my freetime (well, unfortunately wasn't on stage because my Yasmin illness for about 8 months now!!) I don't know how I could go on a stage again with such a "figure"... :(
I'm just still hoping, that the water retention will go away slowly, just like all of the other withdrawal effects of this nightmare pill. And perhaps everything will be fine again, when my cycle is finally back to normal some day...
Ok, all the best to you and everyone please keep us updated about your experiences with or without (after) Yasmin. It really helps and I fear sometimes it's the only thing that can help through all this torture!!

I think i feel the same way. I don't think I'm truly depressed, but I seem to find something to cry about at least every other day. I was never like this before. I thought it might just be stress from my job too, but since I've been on the pill, I just don't completely feel like me. I used to be much more upbeat and positive. of course, I'm still not 100% sure this is from Yasmin, I'd be very interested to know if others feel this way. I've been on the pill for about 2.5 months, I stuck with it this long because I thought this feelingwoudl subside, but it wasn't. I'm going to look into other pills....
Yasmin (8) Synthroid (1) PredniSONE (1) Femcon FE (1) Methylpred DP (1) Warfarin Sodium (1) NuvaRing (1) Levoxyl (1)

constant hiccups. Stops for 20 minutes and comes back again for 2 to 3 hours. It is a horrible feeling. The doctor prescribed it for bad allergies. I feel like stopping this horrible drug. I still feel the same way about my allergies. This is totally ridiculous!
