I just took my first of six shots 2 days ago. I'm already experiencing a general hot feeling, hot flashes and insomnia. I'm worried after reading these posts. ... My doctor did not explain the severity of the side effects prior to recommending the drug. Should I continue the treatment? My endometriosis only effects my life during my periods, and have no symptoms while im not menstruating. However, my period pain is so severe it impairs my ability to function. What do i do?

I am having tingling burning sensation in my feet, legs and hands and arms. My blood pressure was not improving on 5 mg so I upped it to 10 and those symptoms are much worse. The tingling sensation goes all the way up my left arm and up above my knees on my legs.
I have tried to take the Lisinipril before and stopped for these same reasons. My doctor does not seem to think that it is due to the Lisinipril. so I tried it again and the burning, burning sensation is driving me crazy and keeping me awake. I have to get up and stand in cold water for a while to get some relief.
I have not read about anyone with the same symptoms. Does anyone out there have these symptoms??

After 4 days of Macrobid didn't help my UTI, I was prescribed 750mg of Levaquin per day. On the first day, the doctor had me take a double dose. That night, my left arm was tingling and numb no matter what I did. I woke up suddenly after only an hour of sleep. I tried to stumble to the restroom but could barely stand. My legs were completely weak, my anxiety was through the roof, my heart was pounding and the room was spinning out of control. I couldn't tell if the bedroom was upside down or sideways.
After a trip to the ER, they told me I was reacting to the high does of Levaquin but it wasn't an allergic reaction. They gave me a lot of fluids and sent me home and told me to still take the Levaquin since I had to get rid of the UTI.
The next day, the UTI was much better. I took a 1/2 dose of Levaquin. I had some side effects (weak all over, anxiety, feeling hot, slightly dizzy) but not terrible. I hate to take this stuff but I know it is working. The half dose seems to be enough.

I wish I could turn back time and Not get that damn kenalog shot. Since August 2006 I have gone through dizziness, nausea, blurred vision, blood sugar imbalance, pitts in some areas the shots were given, 10 pound weight loss in one week, flushed skin, anxiety especially throughout the night when sleeping, poison feeling, hot and painful hands and cold feet, terrible taste in mouth. I have seen numerous doctors in one month. I have been in the hospital twice. I was told to see a therapist since my tests showed negative.
Finally, I found a wonderful doctor who performs muscle tests (shows what vitamin your deficient in and fixes the problem with supplements) She has improved my condition greatly. I believe I would be living handicapped without her or maybe would not even be living the way my body started to shut down. I could not work and dropped out of nursing school (I had a scholarship). I will pass her number on if anyone is interested Dr.******

I took Bactrim for a urinary tract infection. After I had taken the Bactrim for two days I started having really bad hot flashes. Never have had them before. I was burning up constantly, all day. Sweating on my face and chest. Slight nausea and headaches. Some dry mouth. And just an all over feeling of being tired and not feeling well. I haven't read any postings yet about people feeling hot or running fever, but I really think this is the problem. After 3 days of constantly being hot and sweating, I felt like I was about to go crazy. So I have stopped taking it today. I hope it goes away quick, but I have read it can still take a few days for it to get out of your system. Has anyone else experienced the being hot from taking Bactrim?

After looking at the listed side effects for Pred. i can say that my wife has expierenced all of them. She has Chrons and was on Pred. for about 9 months. Just so you all dont feel like your crazy, ill post what this "miracle drug" had done for our family. INSOMENIA, she would sleep for about 3 hours a day, man was my house clean! MOOD SWINGS, she would flip out for no reason. She even wanted a devorce! For no particular reason, she " just wanted me out of the house ". WEIGHT GAIN, she went from a size 3 to a size 13.*note* she lost weight in the first month, went down to a size 2. MOON FACE, she kept saying she looked like a jack-o-lantern. BURNING SENSATION, she would just break out in a sweat, and complain of "feeling" hot. ACNE, neck, back, and chest. FATIGUE, she just couldnt move, always felt "drained". EATING LIKE A LINE BACKER, she would polish off a full sized bag of cheese curls, and look for more. DEPRESSION, would just break down and cry, for no reason. I would ask, whats worng, and get " i dont know ...." BACK PAIN, she would wake up with major back pain. We contributed this to the added weight, pressing on her back while asleep. SNORING, agian, do to he added weight.
My question is this, my wife has been off the Pred for almost 50 days now, and she has lost little weight. It kills me that she looks in the mirror and cries now because she still has the added weight. She has lost a little in the face, and in the ankle area, but had yet to loose a majority of the weight gain. Her Dr. told her that it will take another 2 - 3 months to loose her weight and get back to "normal". If some one can varify this; the long gradual weight loss, it would make my wife feel so much better, knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks in advance,
******

Huh, you guys should be happy you don't have a crazy doctor like mine. I'm 5'7" and 160lbs and my doctor wants me to take 20mg basically cause he thinks I talk too much. Not only that, but he wants me to take it indefinetly. My mother had originally wanted me to see a doctor and take some kind of medication because I was having somewhat of a nervous breakdown about a year ago when I lost my job. Now she's just wanting me to get off the medication completely and I can't agree more. Yes, my body has gotten used to the 5-10mg that I take (what did you think I was really going to take 20mg? I'd never get out of bed) and I feel ok taking it but do need lots of coffee in the morning to get my brain working. But I feel that this drug may permanently alter my brain chemistry if used for a prolonged period of time and I'm just going to have to get off of it. I've been weening myself off it for a couple months now. After about three days of not taking the drug it get's really tough. My sensesk, especially my hearing get hyper sensative and always hearing high pitched shrilly noises in just about everything. This in itself gives me a paranoid like feeling. Hot flashes all the time, no eating, hard to sleep. I can't understand why my doctor is so crazy about taking so much of this stuff. Not once has he even mentioned that this drug is for short term use. I'm going stop taking it now and not see him anymore. Hell, he put me on short term disability a year ago cause he said I was in no state to have a job. I wonder if he failed to realize this was because he was giving me 20mg!!! Where did this guy learn medicine? Well, the disability insurance has ended because they state that "the information in my file indicates I have recovered," and I'm going to get my life back to the way it was before and without any medications. Especially cause without medical insurance I'm looking at a $450-$600 a month medication cost. No thanks. Oh and as far as the smoking question. Nicotine and smoking cigarettes is ok and actually increases the metabolism of the olanzapine significantly. So your probably just getting a reaction to intial increased metabolism of the drug. My biggest complaint about the side effects of this drug is the blurred vision, constant sleepyness and just not being able to think clearly.

I was feeling better the day after I got a prescription for Guaifenex, but after reading these symptoms I've noticed several of them in myself. Mainly feeling hot and restless sleep; I could sleep, but I'd wake up frequently and toss and turn for a bit. I also felt like my head was disconnected from my body which is partially due to the cold, but I think also to this drug. I'm stopping taking it after a couple of days, I'd rather cough and blow all this gunk out of my head and be done with this cold.

I had been taking lisinopril for a few years with no apparent effects but last summer began waking with extreme fatigue and slight nausea. I also developed spiking blood pressure but that was stopped by adding a beta blocker. I have vivid dreams and often wake feeling worn out from the dreams. The fatigue is severe and accompanied by depression and anxiety. I also wake feeling hot in face and torso and have intolerance for heat.My dose is 40 mg and has controlled my BP until recently when I have had a couple high readings, possibly due to anxiety. I also had a couple of remissions when I felt OK fro a coule weeks, but the symptoms recurred..
