ITS GONE….. finally after four months of feeling that I am going mad, feeling depressed and crying for no reason the dreaded thing was removed yesterday. The consultant I saw about the side effects a month ago asked me to give it another month, I did and when he saw me yesterday he said he expected me to bounce into the room feeling great, and was shocked at my appearance…. I felt dreadful.. the worst thing is the dizziness, its constant!! Even today, day 1 of removal the dizziness is still there, I still want to cry, but the thought that I cant surely feel like this forever is keeping me going… luckily for me I have a very supportive partner who has been there and looked after me.
My side effects:
Painful cramps
Dizziness
Depression
Crying
Backache
Leg Pains
Head Muzziness, loss of concentration
Terrible Fatigue
Headaches
Feeling Sick
Loss of libido
Breast Tenderness
I just wanted to say thanks to all the women who have posted on here and who have made me realize that what I was experiencing wasn’t just me and in my head, they are genuine side effects otherwise there wouldn’t be so many posts…. Unfortunately I found this website after I had had the Mirena inserted… I am sure that there are many women out there who Mirena does work for, but they have to realize that it doesn’t work for everyone, and I am sure there aren’t many websites that have been set up to say how good it is… also, if it works for them, why are they looking on a website for side effects if they aren’t experiencing any??

Ive been on Yasmin for just over 2 years now. I have had the most terrible panic attacks ever. I was never aware that something like this existed...and have only just put the connection together. I have had mecury fillings out of my teeth, gone to see a psychologist, taken anti depressants, gone to a hypnotist etc and still they continue. I am definitely going to change to something else. The reason for going onto this product was due to migraines but quite honestly i would rather live with that then a week full time panic attacks....

I had septocaine for 2 minor fillings in feb 2008. It took me until nov after seeing a number of dental and medical professionals to be diagnosed with trigeminal neuropathic pain in the V2 region. I'm still in a lot of pain with no relief in site. I can't sleep, I can barely eat because all my teeth shifted from the poor dental work and I can't concentrate on anything. This drug ruined my life.

I am a healthy 58 yr old woman. On May 20 2008, I went to the dentist to have two small fillings done. At the time of the shot I experienced what felt as though I had received an electrical jolt because the shot hit my nerve. This jolt radiated down to my ovaries. I complained to the dentist instantly. Right after the visit I started noticing that my hair was thinning. On June 17, 2008 at my normal hair appointment I commented to the beautician that my hair was thinning. On June 27, 2008 at the second visit to the dentist I experience the same problem from the shot and again told the dentist of problem. By July 18th I noticed some extreme hair loss in two locations on my scalp. I pointed out my hair loss condition to the Dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic on July 18, 2008 he referred me to a hair loss specialist. On September 2, 2008 I meet the specialist she stated that the hair loss was caused by some extreme stress to my system. I told her about the dental work and my reaction to the injection. She said that could have been the catalyst that started this problem. The doctor said if there is some "shock to the system", as many as 70% of the scalp hairs are then shed in large numbers about 1 to 2 months after the "shock". This sudden increase in hair loss, usually described as the hair coming out in handfuls is called acute telogen effluvium. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hi. I am so sorry to read your story. My 17 year old daughter’s story is similar. She had her second Gardasil vaccination during the end of January 2008. During the month of February and March, she had abdominal problems. Beginning on March 30th, she had seizures. She had a CT of the head, MRI of the brain, EEG, 24 hour EEG and as I type this note, she are in the epilepsy center at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and the doctor just came in to tell me that every test is coming back normal and that my daughter is having “stress” seizures. My daughter has no more stress than any other 17 year old girl does.
I related to the doctor my thoughts pertaining to Gardasil and I feel as though he has dismissed my idea.
I have found some many stories similar to yours and my daughter’s but I believe because Gardasil is so new, nothing is coming out yet about it.
If anyone has any other information, please advise!! We are desperate here in Philadelphia.
Jodi

It is day 4 off my advair and WOW what a difference! I feel great, clearer, lighter, its hard to explain. No withdrawls YET, I am sure the biggest asthma attack ever is impending, but things are really good right now. My mood and personality are even better, I guess when you feel like your dying all the time you can get a little moody. I also enjoyed reading yesterday about Advair and tooth decay (4 fillings and root canal this year) and chicken pox (got them AGAIN last year). Don't worry glaxo, my rotten teeth and life threating bout of pox and spasms of my HEART, which I hear is an important organ, is all a trade off to be able to breathe a little better. Sure. I plan on sending my unused (and will remain) Advair to GSK with a bill for my teeth. We will see what happens.

Hi, I started Yaz about 2 weeks ago. I am already on Zoloft for minor depression and anxiety. Stared Yaz the sunday I started my period. First the moodiness started, then the headaches. I thought I was getting sick with a cold because I had razor blade pain in my throat that I ended up attributing to Reflux. Went to the doctor to get meds to treat that. The pain went away then I got a metallic taste that I couldn't get rid of. Went to the dentist and nothing was wrong with my fillings. I thought I was going crazy because then I had vaginal itching and odor. I wasn't have a full period but I never stopped bleeding from my period when I started the pack. After finding this website I stopped mid cycle. This has scared the crap out of me. I know I haven't been on it for long, but can anyone tell me if they have stopped in the middle of the pack and how long it took for your period to be on a normal schedule again.

I have been on Topamax for 4 months and so far the migraines I have suffered for 40 years are gone. Great Some side effects like can't stand carbonated drinks. Reaction time is a little slower. I stress out a little more then I used to. I get really tired at the end of the day. I used to be a night owl but now love my sleep. Question to you all. Any one had problems with their teeth? Such as pain, fillings falling out? Let me know.

I am not sure if this is what I had today at the dentists office but many of the side effects are very similar and I am not sure if i will go back to have any work done.
I went to the dentist to have two small fillings done. After the first shot I experienced a "panic" feeling. heart was racing and feeling light headed. I sat up in the chair and hung my head down when the asst. came in. She asked if I was OK and I told her that I felt very weird and uncomfortable. When he began drilling I could feel the pain still and so he gave me another dose of numbing meds. Well....after about five min my heart was pounding so hard I placed the dentists hand on my chest and he could feel my heart pounding out of my chest. He took my pulse and said it was over 140. Finally the heart racing began to subside but all day I feel like I have been put through the ringer. I couldn't drive myself home, and have been freezing ever since. My right ear is hurting and finally the numbness in my face is wearing off. I think that was the scariest day in my life. Never again!

I went to the dentist to have three old fillings replaced, he administered a shot to each side of my lower jaw, telling me he was injecting it directly into the jaw bone itself instead of the nerve. I also experienced an enormous reaction, heart racing, felt like I was loosing consciousness. The dentist noticed my reaction, had the assistant put a cold towel on my head. But after I recovered, he administered more on the other side! The whole reaction started again, this time more intense. The effect lasted for over an hour, I had to wait in the office before I felt ready to drive home. I will insist on a full explanation of what is being administered next time, and if the dentist objects, I will leave the chair.

I went into the dentist for a change of a couple of fillings, with the doctor knowing I can't have epinephrine, she still gave me Septocaine, I had an emmediate reaction, high blood pressure, racing heart rate, nausea, shaking I could not control, they rushed Oxygen to me and took my blood pressure and then denied after I had already seen the label, told me they didn't give me anything with epinephrine, this stuff is horrible!! So is my dentist

I had a horrible experience today. My dentist used Septocaine before 3 fillings. Immediately I had a severe reaction----jittery, freezing, blood pressure up, immediate anxiety, heart racing. It was horrible and it felt like it took a very long time to get back to normal. People should be aware of the risks of this drug.

I'm a dentist who recently examined a middle aged female patient on her regular (6-month) recare appointment. I was distressed to observe significant active tooth decay around a number of previously perfect dental restorations (fillings and crowns). My patient noted that the only change in her health habits over the previous 6 months was that she was now ingesting 4 or 5 Tums daily on the advice of her physician. On checking the ingredients in Tums, I learned that the first ingredient is sucrose (common sugar).
