Finger pain symptoms and conditions

I had a prostate infection and a sinus infection. Was given Levaquin 750 MG for three weeks once a day. Started having hand and finger pain two weeks in out of the blue. Did a little research and stopped medication. What I found was that Levaquin can cause skeletal fluorosis or just fluorosis in some people. Considering the internet response and the number of other medications that react with Levaquin I would guess this is a pretty common side effect. I started a body purge the day I stopped and have experienced a dramatic decrease in pain. I also have Fibro so a slight pain is manageable though my pain has never been in my hands and fingers. If you have taken this off and on for different infections through the years or any of its cousins, like Cipro, I'm sure you will wonder if it could have contributed to joint pain and reduced activity levels caused by the pain for many years. Well, I took Levaquin 500 once a day for 14 days for an inflamed lower bowel. It cured that. But, I got a blood test back today saying I am positive in my ANA pattern? Also states it is "A nucleolar pattern is associated with systemic sclerosis." Probably Drug induced Lupus.

My symptoms have been painful joints, muscle weakness to the nth degree pain and weakness in shoulders, panic attacks, fainting spells, headaches, finger pain! Depression, happy, depression, happy. Strong, weak.

My next step is to go to a specialist (Rheumatoid)

I'm leaving for Costa Rica for 6 days. I am going to be positive and get over this! I hope nothing happens over there. I will not let it get me!

I am a female taking narcotic pain medication due to a back injury. Those pills make it hard to pee. My doc put me on Flomax to help me empty my bladder. I have had swollen sinus every night when I sleep. I have extreme elbow, wrist and finger pain that lasts all day/night long. My legs and knees are very stiff and sore. If I stand on my feet for more than a couple of minutes, my soles ache. I feel extremely tired and exhausted. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!! Now that I am off of it, my retention problem is worse than ever before. I wish I would have seen this web page before starting this horrible drug.

OKay, I don't know if this has anything to do with Mirena or not, but I have had my implant since August 2006. Typically I am a very happy, healthy person. I eat extremely heathy (almost all organic, tons of vegetables & fish & almost no processed foods). Anyhow, for the last 6-8 months have have become VERY moody. I am often grumpy, I cry everyday, I have pain in my joints (I believe it to feel like arthritic pain). My finger joints are always sore. I am a fit person & am uncapable of opening a jar anymore. And, I have this nagging pain in my lower back to the left of my spine. Like I said, I'm not sure if this is because of my mirena implant, but I take no other medication, I don't even take OTC pain meds. I'm only 27 and consider myself to be very healthy. I'm not sure what else it could be. I suppose I will have it removed & see if I can become a normal human being again. I appreciate anyone else who can share their experience...I just want to know if I'm crazy or not???

I was put on levaquin for lung infections - I developed some side effects similar to what others have - finger pain (also 2 lumps under the skin between finger joints) wrist pain, chest soreness, soreness of calves, thighs, knees, ankles, but the
one strange side effect is - my skin is extremely salty! I asked my pulmonoligst about this symptom and she said it was the Levaquin causing it.

i had my left index finger amputated. i was prescribed meprozine and lorcet plus. the first 3 days i used the meprozine and i still cant remember what i did. i also got real sick and started puking. i stopped taking them and started taking the lorcet plus and everything is a lot better, besides the phantom finger pain.

I took one 500mg Levaquin and stopped taking it because of severe nausia, vomiting and diarrehia. One week later after stopping it I now have severe shoulder, elbow, wrist and finger pain in both arms. Does anyone think this is from the 1 dose of Levaquin?
