Fosamax 70 symptoms and conditions

After taking Fosamax, 70 mg once weekly for four months, I awoke one morning with vertigo. My husband had to assist me from the bed to the bathroom. The dizziness and vertigo lessened to where I could walk unassisted but could not do floor exercises because lying flat caused the room to spin and nausea that continued for hours afterwards. I also got heart palpitations, coldness, and malaise, usually a couple of hours after taking the medication. The vertigo continued for three months until I got off Fosamax. I am now taking strontium citrate, 680 mg daily. I buy it on-line from *******, but it can also be purchased at your local health food store. Strontium, in the form of strontium ranelate, is prescribed in several countries, including some in western Europe. Reports I have read claim strontium in any form will reverse osteoporosis.

I have been taking Fosamax 70 for two years - recently took myself off it. I have had SEVERE pains in the muscles of my legs - so much so that I have trouble standing for any length of time - like waiting in line, etc. I've been off Fosamax for two months and gradually, this pain is subsiding.

I took Fosamax 70 mg once a week for 2 months. I quit taking it 2 weeks ago due to severe elbow pain, pain in shoulders and neck and right big toe is numb with electric pain. The first 2 days after taking dose I had headache and flu like symptoms. My doctor was not much help and wants me to stay on it if I can stand the side effects. I can only hope this goes away. Does anyone know how long it takes for the pain to diminish after stopping this terrible drug?

I'm from Germany and have taken Fosamax, 70 mg once a week, for 4 weeks two month ago. I suffer from persistent muscle pain and a strange feeling of "electric movement" all over the body. Also troubles sleeping and arms getting asleep nearly every night. Before, I had only pain in my left arm broken last year in an accident. Dr. say my problems can't be due to medication, but don't have any other convincing solution. Is anyone of you is getting forward with his researches on (non recognized) Fosamax side effects? I would be glad about any help or suggestion.
