I had my first shot of Lupron about 1 week ago. After I had the Lupron shot I started to experience numbness in my left hand, foot and face. This only lasted about 2 to 3 minutes after I got up from laying down or just sitting on the sofa. I was worried to I saw my General Doctor. He told me it was nothing to worry about. He was wrong. Four days later I had a stroke (minor) and was in the hospital for 4 days. I believe this shot was the cause but my doctor insist it was not.

I took Lipitor for 6 weeks. After 5 days I was catapulted into a terrible depression. I reported it to the doctor who convinced me to continue with the lipitor although I decreased the dosage from 20mg to 10mg. After 5 weeks I developed severe leg muscle pain. Four days later I discontinued the drug. Five months later I am still disabled. I feel like I have no muscle control in my left leg and foot and have severe knee pain. I also feel like my knee joint is collapsing. My doctor refuses to believe that this is due to lipitor and has diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. Any hope that this is going to get better?

I am a 69-year old male. I having taking one 25mg Toprol XL pill per day for one year now. Yes, I have gained weight, but no other side effects yet, at least that I can attribute to Toprol. I tried to abruptly quit taking it one day. Four days later I was in the local medical center ER. They dripped me full of Toprol for six hours and sent me home.

Hi,
I never had asthma before, but was prescribed Advair because of a single wheezing incident at night. (My allergies have always been horrible this time of year) Six weeks later, I was tired, my face was breaking out and my entire body was swollen. I felt like a sausage. I had this dry hacking cough and that mucus-y feeling at the back of my throat that I could never clear. I started to get very lethargic and depressed. Normally I'm at the gym at 5 am, but I couldn't get out of bed to do much of anything, other than go to work and come home. The pharmacist said it's not the Advair. I went to an internist. She said it wasn't the Advair. Then I found this site and stopped taking it. Four days later all my swelling is gone, no more coughing, I have energy, and I'm not depressed. When the internist got indignant and told me she had been a physican for X number of years, I told her I have been in my body for 36 years, and that's longer than she's been a physician. I can't believe that some in the medical profession haven't heard of all the side effects people aren't experiencing.
I'm glad it's over.

I have taken levaquin for 10 days, the last day being Oct.2. After 7 days I noticed my legs and feet were swollen. I looked this medicine up on the internet to see if that was a side effect. Sure enough, many of you were suffering this effect. Also I had begun to ache in my shoulders, legs, knees and elbows. I had not connected this with the medicine until I read other's symptoms. By this time I had only two more doses to take, which I did. Now four days later I can still hardly stand up out of a chair. The swelling has gone down, but the aches have not ceased. How long will that take? I don't ever want this medicine again. I took it for a possible infection under the skin after surgery on a thumb.

I was prescribed this drug for excessive mucus/sore throat/chest congestion. Four days later, I developed a rash on my neck that spread to my chest and lower face. I stopped taking the medication and started to research it. Turns out I have also had the jitters in the middle of the night. I lost weight I didn't need to be losing. There was a persistent tingling in my fingers. The sore throat and congestion are cleared, but I am waiting to see if the rash goes away completely now that I'm off the pills.

I hope that what I'm going through is a side effect of this stuff. I'm a 31 year old, non smoking man. Almost three weeks ago I noticed a rash starting on my arms and torso, it looked exactly like poison ivy, except there is no likely way that I could have come in contact with it. I went to see my doctor as a precaution. My normal PCP was booked, so I saw another doctor at the practice. She said "we may never know what this is, but it should go away soon." She told me to wait and keep an eye onit. At this point I really had no other issues, it didn't itch too much.
-- By jzs | Reply | Private Message meFour days later, the rash had spread all over my torso and arms. I was starting to feel bad, and spent the weekend in bed with dizzyness and nausea. I called the doctor and she phoned in a prescription for Amoxicillin. I was on the Amoxicillin for 4 days before I went back to see her as my symptoms had not gotten any better. She put me on a 9day cycle of Prednisone. The prednisone cleared up the rash mostly, but throughout the cycle I felt weak, nausea, dizzy. It sucked. I read a lot about side effects online and was hopeful that this would end with the endinig of the prescription. Tuesday morning (8/14) I took my last pill. Yesterday I could barely function. I felt dizzier than normal and had a very hard time getting through the day. Now it's Thursday 48+ hours since my last pill, and I still feel dizzy, like I'm in a Fog. Does anyone know if this is possibly still due to prednisone? If I wake up tomorrow like this I'll plead for an appointment with my PCP. Any help is appreciated.
