Fraud symptoms and conditions

I have been off Lipitor for 2 weeks now. I still have slurred speech. My tongue is moving to beat the band. I have been to 2 neurologists and both have told me that I have "motor neuron disease". This drug is POISON and anyone on it should get off of it. I never had a problem before I started taking this drug. Now I am looking at ALS as a diagnosis. That is awful to think that I might have that. I will find out on April 14th when I go visit my Dr. at Mass General. I will let everyone know what comes out of it.

i have been on neurontin for nerve pain in my legs due to vasculitis for a few weeks now. i have only noticed a small increase in appetite. my eyesite seems to be out of focus, but its so bad anyway that i have no idea if its the neurontin or just my eyes, and minor headaches i had no pain relief either........absolutely no improvement at all. my doctor just raised my dose from 900 mgs a day to 1200 the other day. still no pain relief but i am now getting a bit dizzy. i guess we will see what happens!

I was prescribed Avelox yesterday for a nasty sinus infection. I took one at about 9:00 at night. I started to feel nauseous and my mouth would fill with saliva. My muscles started to cramp up. I could not function so I went to bed. My heart rate sped up. I felt like I was going to die. Then I started hallucinating. When I got up, I felt a bit better and realized I was experiencing side effects. Still feeling achy and with a terrible headache, I went back to bed. It seemed like I went through my whole life in my head. I felt like I was a fraud in everything I've done. Finally all that was left of me was a black void. I just did not want to exist. I thought I was having a total psychotic collapse. I fell asleep around 3:00 am and woke at 6:00 am to research this drug. It is 1:00 am the next day now and I still ache and have a headache. I realize that I just suffered a major reaction....and this drug is legal! It sucks.

I have severe Photophobia and facial disfigurement and constant burning pain, among other symptoms since 12-9-03 from Septocaine.
NEW INFO ON FDA WEBSITE: SEPTODONT CONCEALED KNOWN RISKS OF SEPTOCAINE. SEE SEPTO APPLICATION TO US FDA (NDA 20-971) 1998; 256-259 about paresthesias and nerve block risks--they also concealed info from the FDA by slipping in info into the new labeling the FDA required in March 2006, poste 5-25-06 by FDA. Contact the FDA and an attorney immediately about the fraud of Septodont and the injury you suffered under strict liability and fraud.

In response to ahcb87 #8069: You state that for every statin user with side effects there are 1,000 without. I would bet that many of the 1,000 are experiencing side effects that they are attributing to age, not putting two and two together. If you are having good results with statin, I am thrilled for you, but I know from experience how dangerous it can be. As for your statement "During clincal trials they stopped giving placebo to the control group, as the benefit of the statin was so great they felt it was wrong to deny it to them...." Isn't it a frightening thing to know the testing was not even allowed to conclude. Perhaps if they had given the trials the time they deserved, the side effects would have been observed. Shame on the FDA, which has been renamed the Fraud and Drug Administration, deservingly so.

Anyway, I've been on Lipitor for 3 months (10 mg tablet daily) and my bad cholesterol has seen a substantial decline, with no side effects. I plan on getting off Lipitor soon. And I've changed my diet , too, which may have helped quite a bit (a lot less animal protein, a lot more greens)!
