I am sure glad I found this sight. I was trying to find out if the Prilosec OTC may be why I have had sharp pains in my right side, where my liver is located, and after reading the effects that Prilosec has had on other people I am throwing mine away. I am scheduled to see a doctor in regards to bad dizzy spells, pains that run from my left shoulder, up my neck, my left ear rings terribly, and tremendous pressure behind my left eye. I was fearful that I have a blockage in a vein to my brain. My left leg from above my knee has gone numb, I can't wiggle my toes, I get tremendous cramps in my left calf at least 6 times a night. I feel like a basket case and I have done nothing to make any of these things start happening. A year after having my gall bladder removed and adhesions cut away from my stomach the doctor gave me Prilosec to see if it would help with some very minor stomach pains I was having. As a matter of fact I took a Prilosec an hour ago because of the pain in my liver area and as I write this I have a bad headache, my left arm is tingly, the left side of my neck is tight, I am dizzy, and feel like I want to vomit. No more Prilosec for me and I am definately telling my friend who is on it after he had his esophogus removed 5 years ago due to cancer about what I have read here tonight. He can't figure out why he felt so much better 4 years after his cancer was removed but feels so terrible now. They gave him Prilosec 6 months ago to help him with a phlegm problem. I thank you all for your input on this message board. You helped me out tremendously. I have only been on it for a couple weeks and as of right now I am not going to take it again.

This pill should be taken off the market.

I took yasmin for 6 months to help with menopausal symptoms (very heavy menstral bleeding) and it gave me gall bladder disease. My gynocologist never warned me of the potentially devastating side effects of this drug on liver and gall bladder function. I only learned about them when I read in detail the manufacturer's disclosures available to doctors. Before this, I had NO problems with my liver or gall baldder, now I have to have surgery to have my gall bladder removed.

DO NOT take this pill, especially if you have, or have a family history of liver and gall bladder disease.

This pill is destined for a class action law suit from women like me.

I have read sveral testimonies on this drug zocor. I to have been considering that my simptoms are the same, I thought it ws just my age finally catching up, but now consider that it my all be the meds..! The thing that is most bothring me is the ringing in the ears and the heart pallpatations, this is scary sometimes when it happens of course the ringing never seems to stop.. but do not notice any lose of hearing.? I had my gall bladder removed about 2 yrs. now. But only have been on this medication for 4 months but seems that the pain i feel from the area where my gall bladder was is like i never removed it. I'm a 44 yr. old white male with a slight rise in my cholesterol according to my dr. I had been taking Maxide for a number of years when about 18 months ago, I started getting tired easily and tiredness soon turned into utter fatigue. I was diagnosed with a cyst on my pancreas. I am not an alcoholic and I had my gall bladder removed years ago. From the second the needle entered my pancreas, I became unconcious. Because I had had breast cancer in 1992, my doctor ordered a needle biopsy to rule out cancer. During that period, my husband believed that I was dying and that I wanted to die. He thought that I was aware of what was d. That lasted for two weeks, and when I woke up I was in the hospital with a drain in my stomach and receiving blood transfusions for the first time in my 70 years. On a routine visit to my gastroenterologist, I told him what had happened. When he looked at my list of medications, he was visibly upset and told me never to take another tablet because Maxide could have been the cause of the pancreatic cyst which took me to the edge of death.

My mom is 83 & sharp as a tack. She started taking zocor less than a year ago & her short term memory is shot. A friend at works mom started taking zocor (she's 62) and started having pains in her side, had her gall bladder removed & then the pains came back. She is convinced it is from the zocor.

After have my gall bladder removed I was given 40mg of reglan for nausea. I spent the night of my surgery in the hospital and do not have much memory of that night or of the next day. The following night at home I tried to commit suicide, my husband stopped me but I had an over-whelming desire to kill myself. Suicide seemed so logical and welcome to the mental hell I was in. I was in a deep depression for months and the thoughts of that night will never leave. I work in a pharmacy and when ever I see any one taking reglan I try to warn them about the side effects, something doctors are not doing.Anyone else been in reglan hell?

I was prescribed 500 mg. Levaquin for 10 days for gall stones. I am to have my gall bladder removed in about 5 weeks. My reactions started after my second pill. I have felt extremely tired, my hands are achy -- I can barely open a jar --, and I've been totally depressed. I stopped taking the drug yesterday, after 4 pills.

Until my gall bladder attack, I was completely healthy. I am physically fit -- walking between 4-6 miles most days, combined with weight lifting and yoga. I am so tired since taking Levaquin, I am not exercising at all. On the third day of the medication, I made myself take a 4 mile walk -- not at my usual brisk pace -- more like a stroll. I completed the walk but was totally exhausted and spent the remainder of the day and the next day in bed. My tiredness has to be a reaction to Levaquin. I certainly wasn't feeling this way prior to taking the medication. I will never take this medication again.
